Review of Mankato Clinic

Mankato clinic is walking wrongful death and malpractice lawsuit

My father broke his hip - he was 65 at the time - and complained of pain. The dr gave him Vicodin. My dad had returned in pain, the dr gave him Percocet. No one bothered to take an xray of my father’s broken hip that required surgery. My sister fell and ruptured her spleen. The surgeon severed a major nerve, and it was not repaired, or maybe not repairable. For the next 10 years my sister suffered in pain and was very sick. They kept putting her through their pain mgmt clinic. It eventually caused a loss of quality of life, and she ended up having to go on disability from a very successful career. The neurology dept diagnosed me with a nerve condition and wanted to place me on a copious amount of prescriptions, one of which was contraindicated with an rx that was a priority. The NP would not listen to me. We went back and forth on the portal until she became frustrated and then removed herself as my provider so that I could not message her anymore. The manager and directors of the neurology dept told me I could go somewhere else if I don’t like my treatment plan. Mind you, mankato clinic is one of two providers in all of southern mn and not every insurance carrier takes Mayo Clinic. When I was a kid they misdiagnosed me with osteomyelitis. I ended up having 13 surgeries at Mayo Clinic in Rochester when it could have been caught early. 3 Hickman catheters, two PIC lines, daily rounds of IV vancomycin for 6 weeks (for 5 years), home health care nurses, and a nasty 5 inch scar covering my elbow is what I ended up with. The medical billing dept refuses to provide a breakdown of your bills, they will not provide the cash price of procedures, and then when they’ve gaslit you for the next 6 minutes, you’re labeled difficult because of your advocacy. The MD in the urgent care clinic refuses to treat UTI’s, even after I told her that I had been in the hospital for a kidney infection and was familiar with my Lower back pain as a sign of a UTI coupled with urgency pain etc. She told me my back hurt because I needed to exercise more and refused to culture the urine beyond an immediate dipstick leaving without antibiotics. I returned days later and it was in fact a UTI - diagnosed by another provider. The colonoscopy wait list is 6 months.

Review of Uhaul

Document and record everything - don’t take their calls. Get emails online and copy everyone to corporate and their legal dept

Guaranteed pickup date for ubox dates by U-Haul in lakeville, MN, of 7/31. Sara Mau is the lakeville manager. Then they called to say 8/2. Sara would not take my calls but happily took the mankato mgr’s call as I sat there. I could not hold over because my lease ended that day. I had several emails, text messages, and recorded phone calls (I recorded) guaranteeing the pickup date of 7/31. I expressed how important this was because of my lease ending, and I was assured they would be picked up that date. I received a call while driving across the country that my boxes would not be picked up that date - 7/31. Then the lakeville office said they were “working on it” and would “call me later.” I turned around and drove back to mankato. The mgr at the local office, Jerome, called Sarah Mau in lakeville- who was now suddenly available to talk - and she said there was no way they could help me. No one was willing to contact a third party vendor with a flatbed truck to just pick up the boxes and have them sit at the mankato site until lakeville could come get them. Then I spoke with the mankato regional/district mgr, Christopher Bohem (spelling), and he told me that he does not have to honor the contract pick-up date, and yelled at me. I paid thousands of dollars to have the boxes picked up and - on contract and many written (and recorded on FB e phone) conversations with corporate this would be done according to the contract. Christopher does not want to honor the contract because to do so he would have to spend money with another vendor. First U-Haul said the driver was injured, then he was sick, and they told corporate there was a mechanical issue. They told me 8/2, and told corporate 8/1 because I sat in my car and called corporate for help, and they got involved but to no avail. Christopher is a dishonest businessman, and he is rude. While on the phone with corporate, I found out that U-Haul unilaterally amended the contract today to reflect a pickup date of 8/1/26. I did not sign for this. It is highly illegal to breach a contract and then unilaterally amend its terms. If the U-Haul office signed my name - while I was in my car - we have a forgery issue. This is not how we do things in mankato. Do not trust Christopher or do business with him.

THESE ARE JUNK DONT BUY

These are junk. They don’t charge properly - or at all - and the battery goes out after 30 min. The owner sent me a second round, but the same issue with one of them. So I sent them back for a refund. Haven’t heard from owner since I did that. Very responsive until I was over it and sent them back. Waiting for my refund.
