I ordered a couch from Venter Unique in February, and unfortunately the entire experience has been incredibly frustrating.
The couch arrived vacuum sealed, which at first seemed convenient. However, once opened, it expanded to about five times its packaged size. It quickly became clear that the product did not match the description and didn’t fit my space, so I decided to return it within the 30-day return window stated on their website.
When I contacted customer service, I was sent a return shipping label. But during the call, I was told that this label is sent automatically—even for large items like this—and that I would be responsible for returning the couch myself. I explained that this is not realistic: once expanded, the couch is far too large to carry to a standard drop-off point.
The return policy does not mention anything about vacuum-sealed furniture needing to be returned independently after expansion. There is also only one location in my city that accepts packages of this size, meaning I would need to hire a van just to complete the return.
Customer service offered no practical solution and stated they could not assist further. This leaves me stuck with a large piece of furniture I cannot return without significant extra cost.
I strongly believe this system needs to be improved. If items are shipped vacuum sealed and expand significantly upon opening, there should be a proper return process in place—such as arranging a pickup, as is standard with large furniture.

I hope that by sharing this experience, the company reviews its return process and makes necessary changes so future customers don’t face the same issue.
