FRAUD, DESTRUCTION, DISRESPECT: Our experience with Next Stop Relocation

TL/DR: Next Stop Relocation jacked up our price by 50% ($1,500 additional), removed our veteran discount without telling us, sent an unprepared and careless crew, destroyed thousands of dollars of belongings, and then ghosted us. We’re filing complaints with the BBB and State Attorney Generals. Avoid this company at all costs!!



WARNING: Do not use Next Stop Relocation!

We hired this company to a pack-and-move between two Ohio cities and it was a nightmare.



OVERCHARGED AND LIED TO:

The estimate we agreed to included a veteran discount. On moving day, the bill jumped by 50%, $1,500 more than quoted, and the veteran discount was quietly removed. We called Bo and Lincoln during the move for answers. No response.



UNPROFESSIONAL AND DESCRUCTIVE CREW:

The foreman, Cal, showed up with only one inexperienced helper instead of the professional crew we were promised. He brought no packing supplies, literally had to run to Home Depot and buy a single “moving kit.” When he ran out of boxes, he just taped items together, wrapping tape directly around wood furniture, books, and fishing poles.



His attitude was hostile and careless. He thew items into boxes, stacked heavy boxes on top of ones marked “fragile,” and tripped over the same sculpture three times, bending it twice. When asked to be more careful, he shrugged it off with “it’s time” or “you have a lot of stuff”. We know we have a lot of stuff - that is why we hired professional movers!



THOUSANDS IN DAMAGES:

We are still unpacking, but have already found over $1,000 in damages, broken furniture, destroyed bins, bent artwork, ruined books, mangled photography equipment, and the total will easily run into the thousands.



JOB INCOMPLETE

The movers left a pickup truck worth of items behind. I had to procure additional labor to personally move the left over items, resulting in additional costs and time constraints.



ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY

We complained during the move. No response. No follow-up. Nothing.



Next Stop Relocation quoted one price, jacked it. up mid-move, sent an unprepared crew who treated our belongings like garbage, and then disappeared.



We are filing complaints with the BBB and both the Ohio and Florida Attorney General’s offices. If you’ve had a similar experience message me. We are also exploring legal and class-action options.



One veteran to another: this company disrespected us, my service, and our property. Do not trust them with yours!!
