Monopolists
In my view, Ricardo is an outrageously monopolistic business that should face a class action lawsuit for their exorbitant fees and taking advantage of having dominated the market. Other sites such as Tutti are now also owned by them. Their 12% fees for selling most products are simply absurd and some of the highest in Europe. They offer nothing in exchange and if you read into their terms and conditions, their "buyer protection" is mostly bogus - the rules are written in such the way that they give them almost every legal way of sneaking their way out of the deal and leaving you on ice when you get scammed.

I ordered two keys from them over a year ago and both still work.

Review of Swisspost
Hasn't failed me even once
I've been living in Switzerland for almost 5 years and I never had a single issue with the Swiss post. Not even once have they failed to deliver a package or loose it. Their customer service works (I called once to ask about tracking status). The website is also clear and I never had an issue sending anything abroad.
Review of Ricardo
Getting more and more expensive each year while taking no real responsibility.
I use Ricardo occasionally. This year I was buying a VR headset and to my surprise there's now something called a Money Guard that is obligatory when the package gets shipped. I read into their ToS, read some reviews on Reddit and this thing literally smells like a scam. In their ToS they clearly state that it's to their discretion to decide if I was scammed or not and their decision is not legally binding. This is as good as stating they can just freely ignore all claims and still take the money. By the way, if you don't receive the article, you also loose the money you had to pay to money guard, so you're always at a loss with it. What's more, Ricardo also prohibits sellers from revealing their emails or phone numbers in offers or questions, allegedly to protect me from scammers:
"For this reason, email addresses are not permitted in questions. Phone numbers are only permitted if a specific viewing appointment is requested."
There's no option to opt out from the money guard (neither for the seller nor the buyer) and their provisions are one of the highest in the world (12% for most articles!). They also bought out their competition. This platform should be boycotted because they're taking a great advantage of their monopoly in Switzerland.
