I booked a car service with Area Limo Service from JFK Airport in Queens, NY, to Kenilworth, NJ, for my husband and myself after a ten-hour flight. After a long day of travel, we were expecting a professional and comfortable ride home. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.
Instead of a limousine or professional car service vehicle, Area Limo Service sent a beat-up Toyota Camry. The seats were dirty, and the trunk was filled with empty water bottles, which gave the impression that the vehicle had not been cleaned or inspected before our pickup. The driver told us he was actually a Lyft driver who had been contacted at the last minute, which raised concerns about the company’s planning and professionalism.
The ride itself was even worse. The driver continuously hit the brakes throughout the hour-and-a-half trip, making the ride very uncomfortable. By the time we arrived home, both my husband and I felt carsick and nauseated.
This was the worst car service experience we have ever had. After paying for a professional airport transfer, we expected much better service, a clean vehicle, and a comfortable ride. We will not be using Area Limo Service again and cannot recommend them based on our experience.
