FirstPort are running an elegant little scam with a firm of lawyers, called JB Leitch Solicitors. Terrible situation. My brother purchased a property in London, Brockley, Pincott Place which is managed by FirstPort.
Firstly - you can't pay FirstPort online. Then - FirstPort immediately get JB Leitch to send you a legal notice that you haven't paid, and add hundreds of pounds of various fees, and then threaten you with legal action. So the only way to pay your service charges is to settle with JB Leitch! Very very elegant. And my brother is referring this to the Financial Ombudsman Service as this is completely unacceptable. Beware any property managed by FirstPort! My brother paid JB Leitch once to settle but then realized that this scam is repeating, as he got the second legal notice two weeks ago. This situation is REAL, everyone!
