Exploding hob and terrible customer service
I have purchased Amica induction hob which blew up after literally 2 days and 3 uses (to boil water). Despite this being a priority service, the engineer was scheduled to come after 10 days. he "came" - as in he called to say he is on my street but he cannot park the car and if he cannot park the car, he will not come in. He asked what happened exactly, he then diagnosed the issue over the phone and decided it needed something exchanged, and also a new controller, which he ordered while on the phone with me, apparently yet again saying that it is priority. The following week I got a text that he will not come for another 10 days (at which point it would have been 24 days since the explosion) because apparently the parts didn't turn up yet. A day before he was due I got a text that his visit will be postponed by another 3 days. Eventually, 28 days after the fault occurred, i got their customer service guy on the phone to say that the engineer is sick and they don't know when he will be back. They sometimes use external company but they don't know when this company could come out but there is nothing else that can be done. 10 days before Christmas and 4 weeks after explosion, I still didn't know when and if it would get fixed. I have managed to return the hob to the retailer and now waiting for anew one, different brand to be installed.
I have never dealt with such unprofessional company that shown so little respect to the clients, and who was absolutely unable to deal with the issue and offered no support whatsoever. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
