Review of Smarter Contact

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

The app & platform has so So SO many bugs!

The app & platform has so So SO many bugs! It's ridiculous. At $800+ a month, I would expect the platform to be really well maintained. Instead I encountered so many bugs, that made the usage terrible.

1. Mobile app does not receive calls properly. It often doesn't even make calls properly. I try to switch to speaker phone and it just doesn't work. Then on the headset, I can't even hear the phone ringing.

2. Sometimes I click the info page, and a totally different info page loads up, a different contact than the one whose thread I'm on.

3. The keyboard doesn't pop up properly when trying to text. I'd be happy to even attach videos I have of all these bugs.

Their remote support / sign up team is pretty solid, they help a decent amount. The number rotation and template usage is good. Their reports on reply rate is solid. But these things were so annoying it made it damn near unusable.

Oh and

4. You will not get notifications for messages like a normal messaging app. You have to use the label function then enable messages for that label, which is a huge bug, because then you can't use the label function for anything other than enabling messages on your phone.

There's even more I can't think of now....

Salesman Henry hung up mid call. Extremely unprofessional throughout. Still getting texts.

Talked to someone from an ad, expressed concerns about it working for small ticket monthly recurring. Got booked in for a meeting with Henry. Talked to him about it, he said as long as you can get $3000 from the lifetime of a client. I was like I guess if they stay on for 10 months. Instead of pausing to address it he just continued with his pitch. So I say we might be wasting our time I'm not sure if this works for us. Dude just hangs up, extremely unprofessionally. Which I was considering doing but I had the courtesy to hang on and say goodbye. And I'm not the one selling something.

Then, to top it off, I'm still getting automated texts from them even after I've responded "stop" and "unsubscribe"

Oh and read the reviews on Reddit, they're terrible.

Review of US Mobile

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Don't go for the current deals. They are "Dark Star" only and it's a terrible network

I used USMobile for the past 5 years. Took one year off to enjoy the free year with Spectrum Mobile.

Coming back, I bought the half off deal for Christmas, which, mind you is even cheaper now at 149.

But worst of all, "Dark Star" simply does not work properly in my area at all. And I live in LA, not a random city. Certain streets just have no service, and it almost never works inside any building.

I tried to cancel so I can switch to the monthly plan so I can use warp, but they want to retain 44/month. So I paid 195 for the year, and they want to keep 22% of the entire amount for 2-3 weeks of usage. When I didn't even get what you would get if you pay 44 / month. That would get you warp.

I'm pretty unhappy with this. I have two lines so they want to keep $88 for less than a month of shoddy service.

Was quite the fan but this definitely soured me a bit.

Avoid dark star completely.

Review of HighLevel

Cluttered platform, poor onboarding, poor explanations

It seems some have had a good experience with HighLevel - I personally have not. There are so many tools and multiple ways to get the same thing done. Do I want a funnel, website, or a form?

As other reviews have said, there's so many things that some of them are just half baked.

I've truly never found myself so confused and irritated with a platform.
I was offered an onboarding call, which basically became a 30 minute sales call to do their $297 initial setup - at best, they offered to waive that fee if I skipped my trial and paid for the first month at $97 a month - which is a decent deal but an odd sell - why should I sign up for something if I don't even know will work? Plus, the "skipping trial to pay now" idea is just an odd way to sell it.

More importantly, a platform should be self explanatory enough or explained well enough that someone doesn't need an entire setup.

In the end, I find clickfunnels to be easier and better.

Not to mention I tried embedding the code for a form here and I got --- nothing. Did not work at all.

Really dissatisfied with HighLevel

Akash, I’m really sorry to hear how confusing and frustrating your onboarding and setup experience has been. We never want anyone to feel pressured or left without clear explanations, and I appreciate you pointing out where we fell short. A customer care agent has already reached out to you to work through these issues, and if we weren’t able to get in touch, we’ll follow up again to make sure you get the clarity and support you need.

Extremely unprofessional experience…

Extremely unprofessional experience with Intel's warranty. I can't imagine one of the biggest companies with a >200B$ Valuation has such poor processes.
They ask for personal information over a plain email, and then ask for credit card numbers over a phone call. It's 2023, this can all be done digitally. It just wastes time. As other reviews have said as well, too much information they asked for. I think it took 3 months from when we started to actually getting the cross ship started.

Review of MassPay

The whole team has been great!

The whole team put together a group effort and really turned it around and I've had an excellent experience with MassPay in the past 2-3 months I've used them with my website as an API to automate payouts.

The whole team, Brent, Pouya, Michael, everyone really stepped up after my initially funky experience, and gave me the most supported collaboration as we integrated them to the site and beyond.
It's been absolutely fantastic having the Director of Customer Success just a short email away. I've heard they've changed their onboarding process so I believe everyone will have a brighter experience from here on out.

As a payer, they have been extremely unprofessional and spotty in responses

As a PAYER - been in touch with a 'Jake Parent' in onboarding for over 6 months during development of my website, ensuring we can use their software. All is good and clear.
When we finally finished development, had integrated their software and went to proceed, Jake essentially began ghosting our emails.
If you get 'Jake Parent' for your onboarding process -- forget it!

If I was MassPay, I would fire him, losing and unable to keep precious clientele or converse in a professional manner.

In game updates inflate playtime, deny refund

In game updates inflate past the 2 hour gameplay limit they have for refunds. They've effectively circumvented their own rule.
Got the new Call of Duty, it's essentially like buying another store, always trying to sell you stuff. Game crashed within the first few hours. Not to mention the hour or so wasted updating and creating shaders. Then they refuse the refund, because their own game inflated the "playtime hours" - which any way 2 hours is too little. If you buy a $2000 MacBook, you have 2 weeks to return it, no matter how much you use it. Here, they expect this infinitely replicable digital product, to only be used for two hours, and still not give a refund.
Just a horrible company with horrible customer service.

Purchased twice, had an amazing experience! Recommend!

Hi all! I've made two purchases from Mensclo and promptly received the order every time. I really love their stuff! I could not find kimonos like this anywhere else.
Note the sizing on their website, there is a Tag Size, and US Size. So Tag Size Small and Medium both fall under US Small, but they aren't the same size. So I received a tag Medium which was bigger than the other, despite both being US Small. They offered a 45% refund and I took it tbh, not worth the shipping, but 45% isn't bad. I gifted that one to a friend.
There was another that was super low-res, so lookout for that, in my case, the "yellow cat" kimono. They did a 45% refund there as well. Pretty solid customer service from a Chinese drop shipping company.
