Review of Hargreaves Lansdown
Have been using Hargreaves Lansdown for a number of years now. Had no issues at all. I'm pleased that they usually have the funds/stocks available I'd like to invest in - though I hope that their crypto related fund choice widens soon, but I wonder if that's more of a regulatory issue (something about disclosure sheets). On the rare occasion I need to call, I find the staff helpful, friendly and efficient. Fees seem very reasonable. Recommended!
You misunderstood my point. Not crypto specifically, it was an etf type product which was listed on your platform but which did not have a fact sheet or disclaimer, so I was blocked from investing. Oh, and I think you’ll find the FCA has recently changed that guidance! : )

Review of iD Mobile
Amazing until something goes wrong, then you are on your own. Also, how does something go wrong though!?
Was with them for 5+ years, then my phone started only ringing a couple of times which meant I struggled to get to it and the voicemail didn't work either. No helpline available just Indian chat. Indian chat said issue was I needed a new SIM card. New SIM card, same issue. Wrote letter of complaint by post which went unanswered.
I left the network. Then decided to move back after huge problems getting on to O2. Prior issues resolved on ID Mobile - all good.
One month later, I can no longer receive or make phone calls. Checked the phone with my wife's SIM, not the phone. When calling just keeps trying to connect then hangs up eventually. When receiving a call, phone does not ring and eventually goes through to VM.
Again, just to re-iterate there is no help available except for someone saying you need a new SIM.
Write a complaint, no response. No one from the company wants to deal with you.
My wife still has her phone with them, but should that go wrong, will just leave instantly and move to Giffgaff which has been great so far.

Review of Car Chase Heroes
I can't recommend this place unfortunately. This company only cares about one thing; how to extract as much money as possible during your time with them.
We booked through track days and had a voucher which turns out only to cover some of the cost of the experience. We received no communication from Car Chase Heros beforehand, only receiving any kind of confirmation from the booking agent (date, time, location - that is all). As soon as you arrive, money extraction step 1 takes place which is your £2 for parking. Why on earth they feel it necesssary to do this, is beyond me, other than it is an easy couple of hundred pounds extra for them. Our experience was at an airfield so they weren't exactly short of parking spaces!
Once you've got past the door man, move on to money extraction step 2. Which is either a fee of £29 for an insurance waiver or they will want £5,000 on your credit card (wonder how long they keep that for?). We opted for the insurance because my initial comment was, it's a race track, what are you going to crash into if you're not going fast? But there 10 other cars on the track at the same time, some of which are driven by children from age 10 upwards. Probably best to go with money extraction step 2! After this, you proceed to another desk which is money extraction step 3. For this they would like £10 for you to go round the 'track' with someone else, so you know when to brake etc. Again, this is just a money extraction. But actually, you don't have a lot of choice as they say you can only go round very, very slowly if you do not pay the extra £10. So voucher cost was £89 and we are at this point in for another 50% more. Turns out the 'track' is just an oval, hardly requires much instruction.
Then you wait. And then you wait some more. They don't tell you what happens, just call out names occasionally. Weirdly, they never called my wifes name and a member of staff complained she was sitting in the wrong seat (not to her face). Meanwhile, another couple of staff seem to be having a domestic. Seats are limited to anyone just about to get into a car, so do not expect to sit down, or to remain dry if it rains. Toilets are porta loos.
Good choice of cars though no pride in anything. They don't seem to clean them.
My wife enjoyed the driving though. We paid a bit more for her to have a go in another car whilst she was waiting. So at this point, it was just about another £89 on top of the original £89. But it was worth it, nicer than just sitting and waiting. In total we were there for about 2.5 hours. The actual driving totalled around 30 mins.
Lastly, on your way out is money extraction step 4, where they would like £50 for any photos you would like, and you have to queue again to see them! By this point, we had had enough of waiting. Apparently there is some sort of bonus ride if you wait long enough, though no one explained what this is. We skipped it.
I would avoid this company. We've been to 3 other places to do driving experiences and this was the poorest by quite a long way. If you don't have a particular car in mind, go to Mercedes Benz World instead - you'll pay a bit extra but I assure you, you'll enjoy it far more. It is a far slicker operation.

Review of Rye Street Group
Insurance company booked repair at Rye Street Bishops Stortford. The time taken seemed reasonable and they did a great job on the bodywork which needed to be repaired. Unfortunately though, in the process they damaged the interior of the car in two places, huge scratch (40cm) in plastic trim of boot and a
hole in the leather seat. I thought I'd have to fight to get them to admit liability but to be fair, they did and they took the car back in for another 2 weeks to repair the damage that they caused. One area of the car wasn't put together properly either, so it seems they don't care much. I saw other people say the same thing on their reviews, so seems like they have little respect for other peoples property. Shame really because initially I was really impressed. Communication was also pretty poor - almost non existent.
I wouldn't use them again, or let my insurance company use them on my behalf.

Review of Watchmaster.com
I recently sold my Longines watch through Watchmaster. It wasn't a good experience. My main complaints would be:
- Lack of transparancy
- Lack of communication
- Hidden £295 'refurbishment' cost
After contacting them initially I was sent lots of follow ups and had a few phone calls too but as soon as I finally made the decision to go with them, the communication pretty much stopped completely. Months went by with nothing and then I got in touch to ask if I could have the watch back. I was told I could, but I must pay them a fee for its return (which seems to be the same fee they charge for successfully selling the watch!). Checking the small print it does mention this, though when I asked on the phone, I'm sure I remember being told I could opt out anytime and just pay the original and return postage. I was told that they were confident it would sell and I should wait a bit longer. He said it would be featured in their newsletter and a week or two later I got an automated message to say it had sold. It also mentioned that they estimated it needed to be refurbished and that this process would take 2-3 days (first I had heard of this - shouldn't they say it needs work doing to it when it arrives?). The cost would be up to £295. I questioned this - got no response. The watch was in 'very good condition' according to their own advert yet somehow needed to be worked on.
About a month later, after hearing nothing, I sent a message asking for either the money, or the watch back. I was told it had gone to a Swiss buyer and took a while to go through customs. About two weeks later I finally got notification that I was going to be paid but there was the original postage amount, the commission (both of which I expected) and then of course, the £295 charge on top. So I got about half of what they sold it for. Disappointing to say the least. I think the commission should be enough already.
I put these points to them in an email last week. I got no response. Kind of sums the whole thing up really.
Not recommended.

Review of FINE+RARE
Overall very good service received during the past few years.
Good:
+ Excellent account manager in Yaron who is friendly and responsive. Nothing seems too much trouble.
+ Good prices
+ Wide selection
+ Customer service is fine
Not so good:
- Not sure I like the En Primeur system at F+R. Would prefer first come, first served but appreciate it's hard to keep everyone happy. I did ok from it despite thinking that only the big spenders would get first offers!
- One of the bottles I had in the F + R mixed case I bought recently was clearly corked (it was actually cloudy) and undrinkable.
- I don't like the minimum £200 spend. It's lower than some, but not sure I understand why it's there.

Review of Regency Poultry
Good product, good price, easy to use website.
Delivery charge of £7 for courier which is presumably a next day service (as per other reviews). However, our order was placed Tuesday morning, and arrived Friday afternoon?
Also, customer service was a bit slow and seemed confused. I queried the order on Thursday after expecting it Wednesday, was told would be delivered that day (Thursday). No delivery was made. Sent email Thursday night saying no courier had called. Delivery was made on Friday and then my email was answered on Monday, telling me that the delivery had been made? Which of course, I already knew, because I had signed for it!
So is it next day delivery? I'm not sure. A £7 delivery charge would suggest so, but our order took 3 days. Other than the slow delivery/service, all fine.
UPDATE - following comment from Regency Poultry - not sure what to say to this, I think you need to take this up with your delivery firm, not me. Clearly the courier didn't call, as otherwise we wouldn't be having this conversation? I assume those times are the times the van got back to the depot, not delivery times. It was delivered on Friday at lunch time. Re-rating from 3 to 2 stars for trying to shift the blame to me!
