Review of Husqvarna
Husqvarna have outsourced to China. My £700 strimmer was beyond economical repair after 4 summers. Their registered repairer in Inverness wrongly diagnosed the fault twice and their customer service department were no help. A far cry from the 25 year old machines I have of theirs that still work fine. Do not buy new machines from this company . You have been warned.
Review of Auto Windscreens
one week after a company car appointment I had to revisit on a totally separate job for a replacement screen on my own car. So both cars were skodas and both cars were under my name. Even though the second job was through my own private insurance it made no difference. The computer system mixed up the appointments , i never got my after 2pm text for EITHER JOB and I was told (after taking the day off and driving 100 miles) that my screen could not be done as I had missed my appointment. Luckily there is a shred of common sense left at AW among the staff and they managed to fit my car in for its new screen after a bit of reorganising but take a telling AW. Removing the human contact element from your service is not working. You will pay more in compensation than you would pay for a phoneline and a receptionist at these branches.
Review of Auto Windscreens
Nothing wrong with the workforce first of all but just a word about the way this business is set up. Following disruption due to snow i needed to check and try to move an appointment or at least check the branch was still operating. This call yesterday took 2.5 hours and if Diane from Chesterfield had not abandoned her crashed chat box and called me I may be on the phone yet. Now a word about being " always flexible" as touted on their messages. They would not attend my postcode forcing me to drive 85 miles and they would not adjust the appointment time to let me wait for the morning gritters. I have another appointment next week so I said to the inverness staff member "can I call you next Monday to double check there's no weather disruption"? He said "we dont even have a number or a phone here anymore". Well done corporate whizz kids you have turned a great business into a computerised , inflexable , call queing nightmare . I hope your proud of yourselves. My call with Diane was all recorded by the way. Put it on the Bang and Olufson at the golf club .
Review of Insurance Revolution
They told my 21 year old son whos been driving for nearly 4 years that he was quote " too young and they were unable to help him" . Very revolutionary indeed. Just bloody sad that no one will help these kids. 3 points for doing 60 in a 50 and his life is over.

Review of ScotRail
Travelled down LNER and back Scotrail. No comparison. Overloaded train , not enough provision for bikes but you still sold then tickets , no soap, no dryer , no seat. After a stop I accidently wandered into 1st class and never knew the difference except the folding table was broken . Get a grip and CEO needs to step down immediately.
Review of Wiser
This programmer will either link to your home hub or it won't. Mine did not and despite downloading updates and taking online advice from Drayton staff the hub wasn't having any of it. So I am selling it on as I am unable to return it. I absolutely hate tech.
Review of eSpares.co.uk
Part did not fit. You can see it's close. Very very close but it's a bad replica and would not fit my fridge. Things got worse when I went to Ssmsung direct and got the manufacturers part ......AT THE SAME PRICE. So what's the point of espares ? My part will be heading back to them on Monday.

Review of Booking.com
Booking.com are managed and run in a dreadful way. They always have been and it's partly because it's a global site . You have far less control over your site and property than with Air b and b and good luck making changes. I have rejoined this site after leaving it 7 years ago with the same property. This caused huge problems for booking.com as the 7 year old listing still existed on their site. I need to remind booking.com that under uk data protection law when you request to leave a site they are NOT supposed to retain your data for 7 years. Anyway the endless nightmare of calling staff , waiting for call backs and trying to get your information resolved is exhausting. Every time you finally speak to an operator they say your changes will take up to 5 working days to come into force. Then they don't. So you call again and it goes on and on. The people answering the calls do not have the authority to make your changes . It's absolutely crazy. I've been with Air for 10 years and have called them once. I've been with booking.com for 4 months and have called them 20 times. It's just terrible.
Review of Booking.com
A poor score for booking.com and it's not surprising. My account has been locked due to 5 years of inactivity. I am now on DAY SEVEN of trying to unlock my own account. Staff are all very polite etc but they are working with a system that is almost engineered to take people round and round in circles. It's the most frustrating company I have ever dealt with AND I AM TRYING TO GIVE THEM BUSINESS ! so if any of you guys reading this would like to look my locked account up before giving me your standard corporate reply is 3024421. No wonder we all use Air b and b .
Review of Royal Yachting Association
Not a huge fan of the way this org do business. When sending away for a commercial endorsement they instruct you to enclose some of your original documents. Then they charge you a fee for the certification THEN they state "if you require your documentation returned please enclose a stamped addressed envelope". This beggars belief. Why is it not included in the certification charge ? probably because they simply cannot be bothered to write your address on an envelope but how exactly do they intend to send your new certificate ? could it be in AN ENVELOPE !!!!!!!!
Review of DFS Furniture
Saw a suite in store on sale and decided to buy later. When we called to spend over 4 grand on Friday we were told "sorry the sale ended on Wednesday" . OK never mind . Can I place a £1000 deposit then set up a 3 year payment plan ? . " sorry I can't take a deposit that size". When we asked to be connected to the local branch to discuss the suite we Sat in " sorry we can't put you through to local branches . It went on and on and was very frustrating but don't take my word for it DFS play the 45 minute sales call from 11am today and listen to the number of times your assistant said " sorry I am unable to do that" . You would NEVER believe you guys were actually interested in selling anything. Still waiting for my " online deposit link" from a computer programme because the human was not to trust me enough to take a large amount. Of course if my bank details fall into criminal hands the first thing they will do is spend 45 minutes ordering a new suite from DFS. give me a break.

Review of Door Superstore
I purchased from Door superstore and was charged a standard £35 for delivery. When I entered my postcode I was charged another £50 plus vat for delivery. This is not unusual for the North of Scotland and I thought £101 for 3 to 5 working days delivery was as good as I could get. However this delivery has NOT arrived. An email arrived stating the door would arrive last Thursday but it never came and we are now 3 working days past that. My point is simple. You cannot charge for a service and then not provide it. The additional payment for delivery was requested and paid to Door Superstore so it is wrong to blame your courier. I did not pay them. This is happening more and more across the uk and it is actually against trading standards law. I am currently waiting for an email to see where my door has gone.

Review of Euro Car Parts
never had any problems in my inverness branch. Staff always have the order ready , its correct and they have good knowledge of the trade. But your overcharging for engine oil. Sometimes double what Amazon charge for the same brands. So I go there for oil. It would be nice to get everything in a one stop shop but sadly this is the way of the world these days.
Review of Lookers
Bought twice from lookers and both times Hamilton and Braehead were great but even in 2016 no photos available online. Staff all complaining about it at the time because potential customers kept phoning looking for images of cars. Fast forward to present day and go to Glasgow , Edinburgh , Stirling or Hamiltons websites and check. Half the cars STILL without images despite every member of staff having the ability to video or photograph cars on their phones. So get a grip lookers. I bought my car from highland Audi today because I am 100 miles away and they bothered to post photographs of the cars so I could view them before I travelled. The cars I liked in Glasgow were all awaiting images. Such a simple issue that has not been solved in 8 years.
Review of Blinds2Go
Well made and well packaged. I'm not mad about the fixing brackets. My overhead ingo comes right to the window so I was screwing upwards with longer screws. I had to increase the size of the countersink with my drill so the screw head did not obstruct the click in system. Otherwise all was well.
Review of Highland Appliance Services Ltd
An excellent company. In the last 3 years they have been at my house 4 times due to a poor appliance. Each time their communication is good , you get a call the day before and their engineer is prompt and skilled. Smeg ( booooo) have now replaced the bad appliance so hopefully the runs to Dornie may reduce a bit for Highland but I would like to thank them for the service over the last 3 years.

Review of Smeg UK
Purchased a 5 zone hob in march 2021. It broke down 3 times and had to be repaired under warranty but the 3rd breakdown was just outside the warranty period. Smeg agreed to replace the entire unit with a new model if I paid around 50% of the cost as a "gesture of goodwill". They then sent me a 4 zone unit which involved cutting of my worktop due to a size change. When I mentioned this yesterday they replied saying "you have accepted and fitted the new one so that is that". The real question is do you think a £600 hob should breakdown 3 times and need replacement after 2.5 years ? if not I would not purchase from them. The one star is from the staff who were very good especially at the call centre side. I will not be purchasing smeg goods ever again.

Review of Three UK
Many parents pay for their children's mobile number until they are adults. Then you would think it would be very simple to move this number to their own three account and contract. It took me 1.5 hours and I had to speak to three different departments. Absolutely shameful and very very difficult to explain my needs to the online chat and call centre staff.Just a follow up on this review 6 months later. The £10 safety limit I placed on my sons account was NOT APPLIED and he was overcharged 3 months in a row by way over £10. Then we find his 2 year contract was never applied and his expiry is the 25th of Jan 2024. So much for taking a new 2 year one out in July 2023 ! Three need to look at their call center staff and how they are trained because this has been probably my worst customer service experience since I was sold fake tickets to the crucifixion.

Review of Hotpoint Service
Not even delivered yet but straight off the bat I get an email for delivery and simply need to enter my postcode to continue. " PLEASE ENTER A VALID POSTCODE" is displayed which FORCES you to ring the call centre , listen to all the guff and endure a 15 minute phonecall usually while you are at work. This is a very underhand way for companies like hotpoint to boost profits by collecting revenue on the phone calls and its an absolutely shameful practice that has been adopted by many companies that operate in the ashes of the U.K.
