Spacious dog friendly converted barn
The good bits - dog friendly, spacious accomodation with secure garden in quiet village, close to amenities.Owners live next door and happy to help out with any problems.
Local market towns, coast and country walks within easy driving distance.
Pubs in village The Bay Horse and Axe and Cleaver are lovely and welcoming and dog friendly.
The not so good bits - We had a rodent problem on our first night. The owners dealt with it but was a shock to find a mouse running around on kitchen worktop.
We were not made aware until we arrived that there is a semi resident cat that still likes to visit the garden. As we have a dog that hates cats, this was a concern.
WiFi in the property is poor and mobile signal on some days is non existent. The TVs use WiFi connection and this was a problem for us on a couple of days when there was no signal.
In our opinion, the property desperately needs a refresh, especially the sofas in the lounge which had seated and were uncomfortable to say the least.
There was no hot water in the first floor bathroom, just a trickle.
All in all a pleasant stay but not sure we would return.
