I was with them for 9 years with my car (since I bought it). now I wanted to buy a 2nd car and use it with the same license plate. Asked for a quote, another round to adjust a bit... the price was about 800CHF higher than the other company. So I thought I have the rights to move to another company. In short what I got:
* no just end of the year
* if I would sell my 1st car before I change the papers for the 2nd car I still may could get back the remaining money
* but as in the meantime I already done the paper work I breached the "law" so technically I can only end the contract end of the year event if I would sell the car next week.

Long story short: my first car insurance was about 600 I may would get back 350 if I would know this small details I shouldn't change the license plate to be interchangeble, but rather just keep the license plate and get a new one for the other car... so till end of the year I would spare about 100 on the new insurance and I still could use it till end of the year with the old insurance. In that case most probably I should pay tax on two cars... which may be cheaper or not like this..
so complex asses was this end of the day the right thing or not, but for sure generali never again!
now I can see their reviews (of course peoples write review when they are not happy, but still).
9 years without too much issue from my side...
