Check Companies House first — 88 directorships at the same address

I was about to order wholesale stock from ZA Wholesale, so I checked the company behind the website before paying. Everything below is from public records — Companies House and Nominet — as of August 2026. I am sharing it so other buyers can decide with their eyes open.

Who is actually behind the site?

The website is operated by ZA TRADERZ LTD, company number 16270891, incorporated 24 February 2025 under the name ZUBAIR ASHRAF TRADERS LTD and renamed in April 2025. The domain zawholesale.co.uk was only registered in March 2026. The company has never filed any accounts (first accounts are due November 2026), so there are no public financials whatsoever.

The 88 directorships — this is what made me stop

The company's founder-director, Zubair Ashraf Malik, resigned on 15 January 2026 — the same day the current sole director was appointed. Companies House shows Malik currently holds 88 directorships, many of them recently incorporated companies registered at Unit 2, Micklehead Business Park, St Helens — the exact same business park where ZA Traderz lists its office (Unit 3). The cluster includes Balby Pharma Ltd, Pointer Pharma Ltd, Zum Holdings Ltd, Haworth Road Healthcare Ltd, ARP Healthcare Ltd, Clifton Pharma Ltd, Chequerfield Healthcare Ltd, Oldham Road Healthcare Ltd, Medy.UK Ltd and Hingmed Healthcare Ltd, among others.

One director, 88 companies, most at one address, and the founder left this venture the same day a new face took over. That is not proof of wrongdoing — but it is exactly the pattern any serious buyer should investigate before sending money.

Other things I found

• No independent reviews exist anywhere — no Trustpilot history, and the only product reviews are hosted on their own site (2–3 per product).
• The site's terms say a 7-day return window; its Returns page says 30 days. The policies contradict each other, and the FAQ page is broken.
• Products are unbranded general merchandise sourced from China — some product images are AI-generated — priced close to retail, and marketed mainly at new Amazon, eBay and TikTok sellers, including dropshipping.
• Their own YouTube walkthrough admits the business is "very newly launched."
• On the positive side: they take card payments (Stripe), which gives buyers chargeback protection. Never pay by bank transfer.

My verdict

Nothing above proves this is a scam — the company is registered and active. But "Trusted UK Wholesale Partner" is a serious claim for an 18-month-old company with no filed accounts, no independent reviews, contradictory policies and a corporate web of 88 directorships behind it.

If you still want to test them: start with a small order, pay by credit card only, get the return window confirmed in writing, and check Companies House again when their first accounts land in November 2026. Trust must be earned — not claimed in a website banner.

WEBSITE CONTENT ANALYSIS
What it claims to be: "Your Trusted UK Wholesale Partner 🇬🇧" — "SAME DAY DISPATCH", "MONEY GUARANTEE", "30-day exchange", "24/7 Support", "FLEXIBLE PAYMENT", "No minimum order quantity", "Trusted Source for UK E-commerce Brands".

Documented inconsistencies:

Return-window contradiction: Terms & Conditions state a 7-day return window; the Refund & Returns page states 30 days. The footer banner claims "30-day exchange." Three different positions in one store. (Terms page vs /refund_returns/)
Broken policy pages: the footer's FAQ link (/faq/) returns "Page Not Found"; shipping-policy and refund-policy slugs were also initially unreachable (the live page is /refund_returns/).
"Wholesale" label vs. actual model: SIC code is retail; prices are near-retail single-unit prices (£2.80–£14.99); the catalogue is unbranded Chinese general merchandise (jade rollers, plush bunnies, phone holders, air-fryer liners). This is a general-merchandise dropship hub, not a manufacturer-tied wholesale operation.
AI/stock imagery: at least one product image is literally named ChatGPT-Image-Jun-25-2026… (AI-generated); others are WhatsApp camera photos — normal for importers, but confirms they are not the source of the goods and margin reality is thin.
Self-hosted reviews only: max review count found on any product = 3. No independent review platform presence found (no Trustpilot profile for zawholesale.co.uk located; Google-indexed reviews: none).
Marketing promises aimed at new sellers: "Perfect for Amazon, eBay, TikTok Shop," "Dropshipping support," "no MOQ" — a pitch pattern commonly aimed at inexperienced resellers.
