I liked them

I liked them, but they're uncomfortable to walk in. With a little imagination, it's possible to create a way to fit the whole shoe!

Would not ride any large bike now without them

Owner reached out to me to see if I wanted to wait a few days to get the new improved design. Despatched on the Tuesday in Spain and arrived on the Thursday in Sweden.
This will be my 6th pair, as although I only came to them to help my mere 171cm cope with a large adventure bike, I have adopted them for all my 3 bikes, with spare pair in the bag on longer journeys.

Never again

Update 2

To reiterate – I returned the goods to you – and of course, I paid the return shipping costs. After the return was processed by you, I received confirmation that everything was okay, and THEN these 12 euros were deducted from the refund! When I inquired via email why 12 euros had been deducted from the total price, your employee explained that this was standard procedure because the return shipping costs to Germany had to be borne by ME – which is definitely against current law. I referred to EU law, to which the employee replied that they didn't have to adhere because they are based in Spain. Only after I complained again and explained that Spain is also part of the EU were I refunded the 12 euros – with the explanation that this was only done to avoid further discussion…..

Update Thank you for your detailed feedback.

I would like to clarify a few points:

The EU-wide harmonized regulations regarding the right of withdrawal also apply to companies based in Spain. According to these regulations, in the case of a full cancellation, the costs of standard shipping must be refunded. Any conflicting provisions in terms and conditions are legally invalid – regardless of whether they were stated before the purchase.

As required, I paid for the return shipping myself. This is legally correct and I have not objected to it.

Furthermore, your statement is inaccurate: Of course, I had to return the goods to you. A refund was not issued without the goods being returned and inspected.

However, deducting the initial shipping costs was not permissible. Therefore, your subsequent refund is not a gesture of goodwill, but rather in accordance with applicable law.

I understand that shipping costs are economically significant for smaller companies. Nevertheless, statutory consumer rights must be respected.

My review reflects my personal experience with the purchase and the transaction.

The Upbikers themselves – great idea in theory – but for me, the rubber strap over the shoe is so tight that my little toe gets pinched – and that's with sturdy Daytonas. So I returned them. I knew I'd have to pay the €14 return shipping to Spain myself, but I didn't expect them to deduct another €12 from the total price of the Upbikers. When I contacted the company, they told me that was the €12 shipping included in the order, which they were keeping. Outrageous! This doesn't comply with the relevant EU consumer protection regulations according to § 357 of the German Civil Code (BGB)! I told the customer service representative this, and he replied that since the company is based in Spain, they weren't bound by the regulations. I then explained again that, to my knowledge, Spain is part of the EU and insisted on a refund of the €12 they had withheld. After that, they gave me a cheeky reply and refunded everything. I will never buy anything from this company again!

Thank you for your detailed clarification, Geli.

You are correct that under EU consumer law, in case of a withdrawal, the standard outbound shipping cost must be refunded. This is something we fully respect and apply in our processes.

At the same time, it is also important to clarify that:

* Return shipping costs are borne by the customer, as established by law
* The refund can be processed once the product is received and inspected
* Any deduction may apply only if the product shows signs of use or damage

In your specific case, once the return was received and verified, the corresponding refund was issued in accordance with these regulations.

We understand that legal frameworks can sometimes create confusion, especially in international transactions, and we always aim to handle each case fairly while complying with applicable laws.

We also appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving both our communication and processes.

Kind regards

Sticking with original year-old pair

My original pair purchased over a year ago was a Godsend! I’m 4’10” and shrinking (retired senior), and purchased a 2024 BMW F800gs (factory lowered). The seat height was doable, but caused me a lot of stress when stopping, windy days, etc. So the Upbikers original pair instilled the confidence to make riding stress-free. Unfortunately, one of the straps broke after getting caught on something. So I ordered a new pair, and was really looking forward to the “new!” design. However, the new design was too narrow for my BMW brand riding boot, which caused it to side out of place, along with putting pressure on my little toe. The rear strap appeared a bit looser/longer (?) to allow for the slippage (?), leaving a space gap at front of boot. Anyhow, I utilized one of the extra plastic clip pair (thanks for including such!), and fixed the original, so it made me more grateful for the original pair. All in all, I’m sure the company was trying to make the customers happy by modifying their specs; I’m grateful that I could still utilize my original amazing pair! The company can perhaps sell two sizes - wide / narrow, smaller size / bigger boot size?

I can reach the ground!

I put on the Upbikers on my boots to take a ride on the Triumph Scrambler 400 which is a little bit high for me. Being able to reach the ground gave me the confidence to get on and off the motorcycle. A little bit awkward to walk in, but great while riding.

Only if u really need it

It can only pretty much go on with 1 boots. U can’t really reuse it or interchange with another boots. And u can’t really walk with it as soon as u off the bikes. Also the main point is all ur friends are going to laugh at you because it kind of look stupid

Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Upbikers are not designed for walking, but to help riders reach the ground more easily and safely while on the motorcycle. For that reason, they were also designed to be easy to put on and take off when needed.

Regarding compatibility with boots, we would really appreciate it if you could send us photos of the boots you found incompatible. We would be happy to pass them on to our design team for review, as until now we had not received complaints in that regard.

Thank you again for your feedback. It helps us continue improving the product.

Best regards,

Upstanding ethical company

I ordered a pair of Upbikers in Spain and while the product is a solid concept there were a few characteristics of the product which did not work with my particular boots. To his total credit Angel worked with me to ensure a variety of solutions.
I would recommend this product based on the integrity of the company alone.
