Rarely have I seen a company working as well as Thurgau Travel. It starts with your office personnel: Speedy, polite and intelligent replies to my emails/phone calls. Then your website: very well-organized and easy to book. No time-wasting and no hidden costs. Thirdly, the excellent planning and organization behind your cruises which the passengers benefit from with everything running so smoothly. Then your on-board personnel are highly motivated, genuinely showing they care about the passengers - no request is considered trivial - and they work really hard and long hours. There is just one item which could be improved on: safety on board. When I asked where the life jackets were, the reception personnel didn’t know. Food is 5 star, comes hot and quickly often using local products and gluten and dairy-free is no problem. Tours are varied, interesting and some of them unusual (e.g. meeting the labradors at the truffle farm or going inside a volcano). The engines are quiet ensuring a good night’s sleep and the crew/captain diligent and careful. The three boats I went on were clean and everything worked in the cabins, with a nicely stocked gift shop. All in all, a very positive, relaxing experience which I will be repeating next year. Highly recommended!
