Binnen 10 minuten een taxi die u ophaalt? Dat lukt UTC doorgaans heel goed. Dat komt omdat UTC wordt gevormd door meer dan 50 zelfstandige ondernemers die kwaliteit en service hoog in het vaandel hebben staan. De Utrechtse Taxi Centrale is ontstaan door bundeling van twee grote taxibedrijven die inmiddels een hechte geoliede organisatie vormt. UTC heeft een werkgebied waar behalve Utrecht ook Nieuwegein, de Bilt, Bilthoven, Maarssen en Houten onder vallen. De chauffeurs die u ontmoet, zijn representatief gekleed en veelal zelf gemotiveerd ondernemer binnen de coöperatie die de Utrechtse Taxi Centrale is. Er zijn gedegen onderlinge afspraken gemaakt om de kwaliteit en het serviceniveau te kunnen waarborgen. Het gehele representatieve wagenpark van ruim 170 voertuigen is voorzien van de modernste satellietverbindingen. Dat betekent dat er altijd een verbinding is met de taxi die het dichtst bij u in de buurt is. De chauffeur krijgt automatisch, via de centrale uw bestelling op zijn dataterminal. Uitzonderingen daargelaten, behoren lange wachttijden daardoor tot het verleden. Op de Centrale, het kloppend hart van UTC, houdt de computer met behulp van GPS bij waar iedere auto zich bevindt en selecteert automatisch de volgende rit die zich het dichtst bij de eindbestemming bevindt. UTC is TX-Keur gecertificeerd.
