My experience of traveling to Greenland with Topas could not have been worse, despite the €14,000 I paid for an 18-day itinerary.

Topas’ employees are not honest and do not deliver the on-site service they repeatedly promise during the sales process.

They are not transparent and have not reimbursed me the full amount I was owed after the trip; they simply ignored my emails.

They did not pass on to me the 50% discount they got for most of my transportation fees, since I am over 65 years old. They simply kept this as additional profit.

Instead of looking after me as their client, they focused on protecting their own long-term business interests with third parties, such as World of Greenland, in which they previously held shares.

They fabricated a story full of false claims against me, the victim, to avoid reimbursing my accommodation expenses at Ilimanaq Lodge, where the cabin lock did not work and I was repeatedly trapped inside and locked out during my stay. To sustain their lies, they even prevented me from doing the last part of my itinerary.

Through their vertical integration and numerous acquisitions, they control much of the tourism industry in South and West Greenland. This left me with no real alternative and made me feel trapped by their "mafia"-style conduct.

The itinerary was arranged so that I visited places, used transport and stayed in accommodation owned by the Topas Group or by companies connected to its long-term business interests.

I strongly recommend not travelling with Topas and trying to avoid the services of its affiliated companies when visiting South and West Greenland. Although this can be extremely difficult, especially for transportation, I encourage travellers to try to spend their money with independent Greenlandic businesses.

We loved our trip to Greenland! Topas did a great job crafting an itinerary for us that matched our interests. Pre trip communication was timely and clear. Coordination of travel and transfers were seamless. The staff at the hotels and tour guides were all friendly and knowledgeable. Any adjustments that needed to be made for weather or other unforeseen circumstances were easily navigated.

What I appreciated most about the trip to Scotland was the attitude of the guide, Gina. She was very positive, encouraging, and also honest. She encouraged us to enjoy each hike to its fullest, had us take breaks so that we would not miss beautiful scenery, and had a very caring demeanor. When I was struggling on Ben Nevis, with kindness and honestly, she provided feedback regarding how much further I should go. I appreciated her very much.

Another aspect of the trip that I appreciated was the selection and progression of each hike. Each was different, beautiful, and a good preparation for the next one. Our stops for lunch each day provided stunning backdrops while we ate.

The food provided for us to prepare our lunches was a nice variety of choices veggies, different spreads, cheeses, meats, etc. for sandwiches; fruit; and snacks. I appreciated the group dinners while also allowing for individual meal times as well.

Overall, I enjoyed the trip very much.

Topas is the right travel agent to plan a Greenland trip. Their presence (and therefore help) very available in the Disko Bay area. Not to be missed are Eqi glacier and Qeqertarsuaq (the later recommended when I asked what we might be missing). Very knowledgeable about what to do. I do recommend flying to Ilulissat not Nuuk. People we spoke with said that Nuuk flights are often cancelled due to weather. We had no issues.

Six mountain stages, averaging almost 1,000 meters of elevation gain every day. My first – but definitely not my last – Category 3 hiking adventure with Topas.

Every day brought breathtaking views, encounters with grazing cows, horses, goats, donkeys and sheep, soaring birds of prey, and curious marmots. There was nothing better than cooling off with an icy dip in crystal-clear streams and mountain lakes after hours of climbing.
Not everyone could complete all the stages and had to skip hikes or take alternative routes when the terrain became too demanding after recommendations from the guide. That made the group more homogeneous.

Beyond the mountains, it was the people who made the trip truly special. Shared challenges, sore legs, sweat pouring down, plenty of laughter, and evenings filled with music and dancing created memories that will stay with me for a long time.

If you are planning on travelling to Greenland, Topas is the agency your would like to choose. Not sure about other areas, but Ilulissat is theirs and they do it well. Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Well done!

Perfect! If in the benefit of hindsight I had to book the trip again I would choose exactly the same suggested excursions. Everything went smoothly. Pickup from the hotel was all organised.

Our travel was amazing.

Great company. We travel a lot (my wife and another couple) and never, ever use a travel agency/tour operator....BUT, we did this time for Greenland. And I am glad we did, for two reasons:

There was no way we could have put together this trip on our own. The logistics not only were a bit complicated, but Topas has it down to a science. We are independent travelers, and Topas' itinerary allowed us to be on our own, yet at the same time, part of their tours, timing everything perfectly and still allowing some independence to explore on our own.

2nd: They own a lot of the infrastructure (boats, hotels, internal transport), so the price was reasonable for such a far-flung, little visited destination.

Due to bad weather at the end of our trip, we were delayed 3 days in Ililussat, but Peter (Topas Denmark), as well as their local ground team, were able to get us hotel vouchers and some meals and take care of us until the very end. A huge relief for us and we were so glad we had them behind us.

I traveled to Greenland with my mother (75 years old) from Aug/01/2025 to Aug/08/2025. Topas organized everything for us: activities, accommodations, and transportation. It was fabulous!! I close my eyes and still see the icebergs! It's impossible to describe the beauty! One needs to see it to understand! Everything was fantastic! The boat trip to the Ilulissat icefjord, the boat trip to Eqi glaciar, and the night spent at the Eqi Lodge are absolute must-see experiences.

Trusted agency and very well prepared and guided tour. Only weekend help during flight cancelations was the main issue. We got stuck in Nuuk for three days that included Saturday and Sunday. I wish agency could have provided emergency whatspp contact to explain this situation. From Monday onwards, we got excellent support from Peter. We are grateful to him for his invaluable guidance and support.

All Hotels, Shoppingcenter and other arrangements were organized well. No problems at all. And the trip gave a beautiful impression of this wonderful country, landscape and people.

We had a wonderful trip to Greenland from South to North in late August/early September. Topas Travel put together a 16-day itinerary for us starting at the lovely little settlement of Igaliku in South Greenland. We then travelled by boat to stay in the small towns of Qaqortoq and Narsaq and then visited the original Norse settlement at Qassiarsuk. We finished the southern leg of our spectacular tour with a great boat journey into the Qooroq ice fjord, complete with Martini on the (local ice!) rocks. We had lovely sunny weather throughout our first week in South Greenland which made for a truly memorable week. We then flew north to spend 2 days in the capital Nuuk. Although we had our first rain of the trip in Nuuk, there was plenty to see and do including a visit to the excellent National Museum. From Nuuk we flew further north to Ilulissat where we spent 5 nights at the excellent Icefiord Hotel with a room overlooking Disko Bay. We had a very full itinerary with a city walking tour, a hike to the edge of the amazing ice fjord, a whale safari and then a fantastic boat trip into the fjord, up close to the enormous icebergs. We then had an overnight trip to the wonderful Eqi Glacier Lodge, which was yet another spectacular highlight of our Greenlandic expedition. Our wonderful trip ended up with a walk on the ice-cap near Kangerlussuaq before our return flight to Copenhagen. Having travelled extensively all over the world, we can truly say that our visit to Greenland was outstanding and that it is a wonderful destination for travellers seeking a unique adventure.
