Not What I Expected
I was disappointed with my recent experience. The product arrived, but the packaging was damaged, which made me worry about what was inside. While the item itself is functional, it didn't quite match the description I saw online. I really wanted a high-quality feel, but it just seems cheap, which is frustrating for the price I paid. Customer service was slow to respond, adding to my annoyance. I had hoped for better quality and service, but sadly, it fell short.
Best Airlines Ever
Best Airlines Ever. No joke.
Couldn't believe how good the food was. Friendly people. Very nice safe flight.
Paid $450 for Baggage That Never Arrived
Extremely disappointing service from Turkish Airlines. I paid $450 for additional baggage, yet none of my four bags made it onto the flight or reached my final destination.
Four days later, my luggage was still missing. Customer service refused to take responsibility and told me to deal with Washington Dulles Airport myself. I explained that the delay was seriously affecting both my personal life and an important upcoming business trip, but they showed no concern and simply told me to “submit feedback.”
I paid Turkish Airlines for a baggage service that I never received. At this point, it honestly feels like they took my money and abandoned me once there was a problem. No accountability, no empathy, and no real assistance.
If I can put them 0 stars I would have
Total DISASTER, Teams of Lazy/Incompetent Agents
Total DISASTER! Dealing with your agents was like a symphony of total incompetence and lazy people, One after another, numerous messages!
1. I told you the USB port in my seat didn't work to charge my phone, just VISIBLY wires hanging out and I send you picture! ( And your completely useless and incompetent people tell me that everything is fine? See picture)
2. Your lazy agent didn't do anything about it that means there were hundreds of customers before me that didn't get to use USB port and probably hundreds more after me and the only one who took action to get it fixed was "ME"(!) but you lazy incompetent people didn't care nor fix anything.
3. You even send somebody in the airplane and they didn't find/fix it - they didn't find any issue, well that's complete incompetence! WIRES HANGING OUT AND YOU TELL ME IT'S FINE- WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!? They don't know what USB port should work/look like? Or can't find my seat that you have on file? Or they went to the wrong airplane? How incompetent and remember you switched planes we waited for 3 hours and flew with the 2nd plane. You should have that in your records!! HOW INCOMPETENT YOU PEOPLE ARE?
4. Moreover I also told you exactly there was another SECOND seat(!) that the USB port didn't work so there was hundreds of more people before that and hundreds of people after that because you didn't fix anything because you are lazy or incompetent.
5. In my initial report I asked to get my seat charge refunded to my card since I couldn't use your USB port and charge my phone and your reply was that there was no maintenance report filed... That means the flight attendant I told about the issue didn't do the report either lazy or incompetent and that is your problem(!) and you have the insolence and are rude/arrogant to make your problem my problem!? Why you didn't refund my seat charge? I asked to get credit to my credit card because I will not fly Turkish again. You didn't even fix any of those 2 I told you and probably there are way more on the same plane, shame on you, leaving it broken for future passengers! You people are a complete DISASTER!

I bought two tickets for my parents and paid extra to reserve seats **4A** and **4B**. Without informing me or obtaining my consent, the airline changed our seats to **11E** and **11F**.
I requested a refund for the seat selection fee, but my request was refused. They keep telling me that the case is closed because the flight has already been completed. They have also stopped responding to my attempts to contact them.
This is not acceptable. I paid specifically for seats **4A** and **4B**, and they were changed without my approval. I am requesting a refund of the seat selection fees.
Not to be trusted
My experience with Turkish Airlines during a disruption was extremely disappointing, and this is despite being an Elite Plus member. My itinerary from Pakistan to the US and back included a JetBlue-operated codeshare flight that was cancelled (RNO to JFK), causing me to miss the Turkish Airlines long-haul flight. Despite the entire journey being booked on a single ticket, Turkish Airlines repeatedly claimed they could not provide a workable rebooking. Different agents gave contradictory information, promised callbacks that never came, and in some cases could not even see the updated reservation correctly.
In the end, we had to purchase a completely new ticket on another airline at significant expense because Turkish Airlines could not provide a reasonable solution.
The biggest lesson for other travelers is this: if your itinerary with Turkish includes codeshare flights, don't assume they will be able to handle disruptions smoothly. I will avoid travel with Turkish from now on.
I reached out to them prior to booking
I reached out to them prior to booking, as I needed to fly out soon. I called to ask if my pet could fly with me from Paris to NYC. I did this intentionally, prior to booking because every airline differs on their rules. I sent all the paper work and I was waiting. I reached out multiple times and was told it would be done by my flight. Prior to my flight I got an email , that they needed to collect payment . So I arrive 6 hours prior to departing. Finally check in . The counter points us in the direction to make payments. After back and forth, I was told my dog and I couldn’t board. They refused to help, then he proceeded to say , he needed to rebook me . But it needed to be 10
Days out to allow a new request to process. Then tells me it’s my responsibility and fault to pay the difference. I called , the lady kept reading a script. I requested a supervisor and nothing. So they lied , they stole , and blamed me for their lies and issues
Sat next to vomit for 10 hours
The onboard incident was unfortunate enough, but the follow-up customer service was even more disappointing. After a passenger vomited on me, I spent almost 10 hours sitting in and beside a poorly cleaned area. Despite repeatedly asking the cabin crew to properly clean the biohazard, I eventually gave up and covered it with blankets myself. I was given a customer service card and told someone would contact me afterwards. They never did. Instead, I exchanged five emails with Turkish Airlines, repeatedly receiving responses claiming I had been relocated, compensated, or provided services that I simply never received. Rather than acknowledging what happened, I was met with inaccurate and dismissive responses that left me feeling ignored and gaslit. Based on both the onboard experience and the way my complaint was handled, I would never choose to fly Turkish Airlines again.
Dont recommend
I missed my outbound flight due to circumstances out of my control, but they cancelled my return flight as well. ~900 USD gone.
It is also impossible to reach their customer service.
I used to use this airline for transit, not going to buy any ticket from them anymore. Their staff are always rude as well, they look at you like they hate you, in all the flights I have been with Turkish Airlines, and they barely speak English.
Overall, untrustworthy, not reliable, inhumane company. Avoid if you can.
Shame on Turkish Airlines.
Shame on Turkish Airlines.
An airline that advertises itself as world-class should be embarrassed by the way it treats its passengers—especially the elderly and disabled.
We contacted Turkish Airlines before the flight to ask how to add a checked bag. We were clearly told by their own customer service that it could be paid for using Miles&Smiles miles at the airport check-in counter. We relied on that information.
When we arrived at the airport, we were told the exact opposite. Suddenly, paying with miles was “impossible,” and we were forced to pay even more than we had originally been quoted. The airline’s own misinformation cost us money.
What was even more upsetting was the complete lack of compassion from the staff. Instead of trying to correct the airline’s mistake, the check-in agent and supervisor repeatedly said they “just work here” and refused to help in any way. Watching an elderly, disabled passenger stand there confused and stressed while your employees showed absolutely no empathy was heartbreaking.
Making mistakes happens. Refusing to take responsibility for those mistakes is a choice.
Turkish Airlines didn’t just overcharge us—they failed a vulnerable passenger. They misled us, refused to honor the information their own representatives provided, and left us with no solution except paying more.
If this is how Turkish Airlines treats loyal customers, elderly travelers, and people with disabilities, then the company should be ashamed. We expected professionalism, honesty, and compassion. We received none of those.
I will be sharing this experience wherever I can so that other travelers know what to expect before they choose Turkish Airlines.

They pack you in like sardines on their Istanbul- Capetown service and they serve white / red wine in paper cups and beer, no Gin, no tonic, no slice, no ice. There’s better ways to get to Capetown.

I got refused by lastminute.com to refund the airport taxes for a flight not taken, the travel agency argues Turkish airlines refused the refund. I asked Turkish airlines to prove it but they refused to answer my question. Hence I lose trust on Turkish airlines and will boycott this company forever.
TURKISH AIRWAYS - UNETHICAL AND RIP PEOPLE OFF
Actually I wouldnt even given them 1 star but thats the lowest I can give.
I tried to cancel my flights and couldn't, so I had to use the chat to speak to someone. Lo and behold, my fare, which I thought was refundable, turns out that it's not. I paid $1800 for my fare, and I was told I would only get back $130. Mind you, when you book online and want to choose a seat, it comes at a price (I lost that money too). How can they get away with this? Absolutely disgraceful.
With Turkish Airlines I’m not happy my last flight
My experience with Turkish Airlines was very disappointing. The customer service was slow and unhelpful, and it was difficult to get clear information when I needed assistance. The overall process was stressful, and I expected much better from such a well-known airline. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider flying with Turkish Airlines in the future.
Let’s say you should trust the reviews
Let’s say you should trust the reviews. It’s a stupid airline that has no way to manage delayed flights efficiently. Also has a few flights and cannot rebook you efficiently. You need to wait many hours to talk to a customer representative. I have used them in the past and was waiting for a high quality service as before. Now it’s a complete joke.
Bad experience
I recently traveled with Turkish Airlines in Business Class. While the overall flight experience was satisfactory, I would like to bring to your attention an issue that negatively affected my first impression of the service.
Shortly after boarding, I was offered a glass of water. Unfortunately, the glass had a very unpleasant odor, which made it uncomfortable to use. As a Business Class passenger, I expected a higher standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.
I am sharing this feedback in the hope that the matter will be reviewed and that appropriate measures will be taken to ensure that serving items are properly cleaned and inspected before use.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Our paid seats were changed without a solution
I booked our tickets four months before departure. In addition to buying the tickets, I also paid extra to reserve seats together because I was traveling alone with my three children. I specifically paid for seat selection to make sure we would sit together on our 10-hour flight from Bangkok to Istanbul.
One day before departure, I received an email informing me that our seats had been changed. When we arrived at check-in, we found out that the four of us had been assigned seats in three different rows.
I explained that I was traveling with my three children and that we had paid extra to sit together. The staff told me the flight was full and there was nothing they could do. We were basically told that it was our problem, even though Turkish Airlines had changed the seats we had paid for.
I don’t understand why passengers are charged for seat selection if the airline can simply change those seats at the last minute without providing an alternative or even a refund.
This experience was very disappointing. We paid for a service that was not provided, received no help at the airport, and ended up separated for a 10-hour flight.
I expected much better customer service from Turkish Airlines.
Absolutely the worse !
Absolutely the worse !! Would never use this airline EVER !! worse customer care !
Terrible ervice
Hi,

Extremely Disappointing Experience from Start to Finished with my…
I am extremely disappointed with my experience flying with Turkish Airlines. I purchased a round-trip ticket expecting the level of service associated with an international airline, but unfortunately, my experience was the opposite.
The biggest issue was customer service. I needed to extend my return flight by just a few days and was willing to pay the applicable fare difference and fees. What should have been a straightforward request took nearly a week to resolve. During that time, I made numerous international calls, spending a significant amount of money, only to experience long wait times, repeated transfers, and multiple calls that were disconnected before my issue was resolved. I felt that my request was not handled with the attention or professionalism it deserved.
My experience at Istanbul Airport was equally disappointing. When I approached airport personnel for assistance, I found their behavior to be dismissive and intimidating rather than helpful. Instead of receiving clear guidance, I felt as though my questions were treated with hostility, leaving me feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable.
The onboard experience was also far below my expectations. Several flight attendants came across as rude and confrontational in their interactions with passengers. Rather than creating a welcoming atmosphere, the cabin environment felt tense, and I witnessed disagreements between crew members and passengers that could have been handled much more professionally.
Every airline can encounter operational challenges, but professionalism, courtesy, and respect for passengers should never be compromised. Unfortunately, my experience with Turkish Airlines consistently fell short in these areas—from customer support, to airport assistance, to the onboard service.
Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Turkish Airlines, and I sincerely hope the airline invests in improving its customer service, staff training, and overall treatment of passengers.
