Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 30 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers frequently face extremely frustrating waiting lists, difficult purchase restrictions, and unhelpful staff members who routinely display arrogant attitudes in physical retail stores. Reviewers also experience severe issues with product quality, noting that expensive luxury items frequently stop working, lose time, or suffer unexpected mechanical failures. Some people were satisfied with specific store locations, mentioning exceptionally helpful staff members and warm customer service during their pleasant visits. Other individuals also warmly praised the classic aesthetic appeal, elegance, and durable engineering of the timepieces despite encountering widespread customer service hurdles elsewhere.

I own 5 Rolex’s (that’s not a look at me comment) and love the watches but I have to say the arrogance when entering most stores is terrible. It’s all about how you look to how your treated just like most high brands. I buy online now because of this reason. Let me be clear the 1 star is based on face to face customer service not the product

To Rolex Management,

To Rolex Management,

We were sold by a Tudor AD in Germany a Black Bay with cracked straps, not sure what excuse they gave and provided a new strap replacement. Within a few weeks, the watch was stopping, had to be serviced for ocer a month. Then I was sold by the same AD a Royal in blue, without informing me that despite removing the max number of links, the strap would still not fit my wrist properly. It was adjusted with one side extemely longer than the other side, against Rolex instructions, that the watch hits my wristbone, and is painful and lopsided when worn. They also destroyed the removable screws in the process, and had to provided extra screws. A reputable watch seller would have not sold me the said watch, or would have known the issue before the watch was adjusted. The staff said since the watch was already adjusted, it cannot be changed. That’s mistepresentation at the time if sale. I lost €2.500 as that watch was unwearable. They promised to allocate me a no dare black sub since Feb 2024, which never marerialized to date. I am unable to wear the royal. I want a starbucks sub instead after seeing one today. I asked assistance from the CS, to no avail.

I recently visited the worst branch of Rolex I’ve ever been to. The store located at 7007 Friars Rd, San Diego, CA 92108 , As I approached the store, the door was locked for security reasons. When I entered, the attendant informed me that the door was kept closed for security, which was understandable. However, I inquired if there was a sign indicating that the security guard should be the one to open the door for customers. To my dismay, she confirmed that there was no such sign. After this incident, I decided not to purchase any watches. The poor customer service experience left a lasting impression, and I would never recommend this store to anyone.

Exceptional Service and a Truly Memorable Rolex Purchase

After waiting around six years for this watch, my wife and I were finally able to buy a Rolex Datejust with a blue dial as a graduation gift for our son, who has just qualified as a doctor. It was a very special and emotional purchase for our family, and the team at Rolex Heathrow Terminal 5 made the experience truly unforgettable.
A special thank you goes to Dominika Shah, who has been looking after us for the past four to five years. She knew the background to our story and understood how important this watch was to us. Her professionalism, patience, kindness, and genuine care were exceptional. She kept us informed throughout the process, and when the moment finally came, she made the entire experience feel incredibly special. Her customer service was simply outstanding—10/10. People like Dominika are rare, and we are so grateful for everything she did.
I’d also like to thank Otto Babos, the shift manager, who was equally professional and supportive. His attention and care added to what was already an excellent experience. Arman, the sales assistant, was also very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
The entire team at Rolex Heathrow Terminal 5 is exceptional. From start to finish, they made us feel valued and looked after. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience when purchasing such a meaningful gift for our son.
A heartfelt thank you to Dominika and the whole team. You helped create a memory that our family will treasure forever.

No appropiate service

I visited your store today during a short trip to Sweden. Unfortunately, the service experience was far below what I would expect from a Rolex retailer. I did not feel particularly welcomed or taken seriously, which was disappointing given the brand and the setting.

Worst customer service in history. They actually called me from Geneva to berate me and tell me I was not good enough to wear their over produced garbage. Went and bought an AP the same day. I'll be spreading the word far and wide!

"Pepsi version of Master II discontinued"

Rolex most secessful watch macher ww? I do feel bad as a Swiss guy if this is true. The marketing responisble of this companies needs to be fired. Urging customers to "queue for years and years for a Pepsi watch (without ever getting updates on what positions you are) and than sending a mail "we discontinued Pepsi production". How snooty and cheeky a company has to be to invite the waiting customer to "choose another model". I do not know whether or not the Swiss saying translates, but still here it is "Pride often comes before a fall"

Rolex ignores phishing warnings – millions at risk

⭐ (1/5) – ROLEX DOES NOT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE'S SECURITY

I discovered that Rolex's name is being used in a massive phishing attack on LinkedIn – thousands of people are receiving fraudulent emails sent under their brand. I personally almost lost my Gmail account.

What did Rolex do? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

I sent warnings to their official email addresses info-deutschland and datenschutz. First email went through, follow-up a week later blocked my message automatically. No way to reach them on Facebook.

This is a company that sells watches for tens of thousands of euros, yet cannot find a single person to respond to security incident warnings. Millions of people's data and email accounts are at risk, and Rolex responds with silence and spam blocks.

Shame on you. A luxury brand is expected to show responsibility – not indifference.

I purchased a new watch 3 months ago…

I purchased a new watch 3 months ago from the Rolex Old Bond Street London store and the bracelet watch clasp was faulty and the watch kept falling off. Also the watch was not keeping good time.
I called in to the store a week ago and a repair to the clasp was carried out and I was informed the timing was correct. The watch time was reset on Monday and 3 days later the watch time was slow.
I have called the store numerous times and have not been put in touch with anyone and no one has got back to me.
Unfortunately I have not enjoyed any of the experience buying my Rolex watch and did not expect a to be sold a sub standard watch from Rolex.

Terrible experience in the Rolex…

Terrible experience in the Rolex concession in Selfridges. I sent my watch to be serviced - which cost £800. Once returned I realised that something was wrong so took it to a local jeweller. They told me that they could hear something loose inside the watch and advised that I took it back to Selfridges. They sent the watch away again and I had a call sometime later to say that the watch workings were completely damaged and smashed and that they had photographs of the inside of my watch showing this and that it would be a further £500 to repair. I queried this as I couldn’t believe this was the case as the watch showed no damage at on the outside! I was told that returning it for repair and payment was my only option. I’d advise against buying a Rolex from this concession and certainly arranging servicing via Selfridges. Terrible customer service attitude and I feel this is a scam by Selfridges and that I have no recourse at all. Shocking treatment from a prestigious brands - both from Rolex and Selfridges!

Bad experience with the Rolex watches and the seller

We purchased two Rolex watches from Bachendorf’s Jewelers in the Galleria Mall less than five years ago, and both recently began running several seconds slow per day while still under warranty. When we brought them back to the store for service, the sales associate treated us as though the watches were fake or stolen, was very rude, and immediately blamed us by suggesting we were not winding them correctly, not wearing them enough, or had possibly dropped them. After about 45 minutes of paperwork, she finally accepted the watches and told us they should be ready around February or March, which is an acceptable turnaround time, but her attitude and the way she spoke to us left a very negative impression of both Rolex and Bachendorf’s.

A Rolex Watch That Literally Fell Off My Wrist

Rolex has questionable quality. My 2024 Rolex Daytona doesn't keep good time and last night it suffered a bracelet failure and literally fell off my wrist without any warning. A Rolex watch is marketed as a lifelong, reliable companion, yet the bracelet failed unexpectedly and without misuse.

For a brand built on engineering excellence and durability, this is unacceptable. The inconvenience, the real risk of losing the watch, and the lack of basic robustness and proper time keeping are not what I expected from Rolex.

Rolex A brand that lost me

Rolex: A Brand That Lost Me

After nearly four years of waiting with two different authorised dealers in West Yorkshire, I’ve finally given up on Rolex.

We’re often told that a Rolex is a watch that will last a lifetime. For me, it’s taken almost a lifetime just to be in a position to afford one — I’m nearly 50 — and yet I still couldn’t buy one. Not because I wasn’t serious, not because I couldn’t pay, but because the opportunity simply never came.

What makes this harder to accept is seeing others acquire multiple Rolex watches, only to sell them on quickly for profit. Meanwhile, genuine customers who want to buy one watch to own, wear, and enjoy are left waiting indefinitely. It’s difficult not to feel that Rolex prefers dealing with established collectors — people who already have several Rolexes sitting in a drawer — rather than first-time buyers or those without a purchasing history.

That approach has completely drained my enthusiasm for the brand. I no longer see Rolex as the benchmark or “go-to” watchmaker it’s often portrayed to be. The experience has been a huge disappointment.

In contrast, my Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 45.5 has served me flawlessly for many years. It’s a watch I was able to buy, enjoy, and rely on without games or empty promises. I can’t fault it in any way and would highly recommend Omega to anyone who values great engineering and being treated like a customer rather than an inconvenience.

Rolex didn’t just lose a sale — they lost my interest.
