How does Rakuten work?
Getting Cash Back rewards from Rakuten is easy. Simply sign up for a free account, and then start shopping on the Rakuten website, through the Rakuten app, or by downloading the Rakuten browser extension. Money gets added to your Cash Back balance when you shop at an affiliate store. You can then get paid via PayPal or check. If it seems too good to be true, here’s how it works: Companies in Rakuten’s affiliate network pay us commissions whenever one of our members shops with them, and we share those commissions with you as Cash Back.

Download the browser extension, Rakuten Cash Back Button, if you want to stay up to date on all the stores you can earn Cash Back with. It will highlight available offers in search results and alert you to store sites that are part of the affiliate network.
When will I get Cash Back?
Rakuten members get their earned Cash Back every three months. Stores will verify with us that the order was complete when you purchase with them, which can take a few hours to a few days, depending on the store. Once the purchase is verified, we’ll let you know Cash Back has been added to your account. Any order that’s still pending on payday will be added to the next payment cycle.

Money real, Pop-ups annoying
I've been using Rakuten for years. Pay outs are tiny, but real. My only complaint is the constant pop-ups they deliver. If I'm buying something on Amazon, they pop-up saying item is cheaper on some website I never heard of. Unfortunately they don't factor in the free shipping of Prime. Wish they would at least wait until I put something in my cart before popping up. With JCP they start running through and testing multiple Promo Codes. Unfortunately even the working ones are usually worse then the Promo code the store sent me. Worse pop-ups are ones notifying me store no longer participates. But I'll keep using Rakuten because if I'm buying something anyway, I might as well get a few dimes back.

Free money Baby ! What else can I say? Free & easy to sign up for the RAK! No fees ever! If you are purchasing products online please sign up. I have gotten 1% - 15% back on purchases. Mostly it's 1% - 3%. Companies will have specials rates at times that run higher. I got 10% back on a JBL bluetooth speaker. You're getting 1%-3% back on your credit card? Now boost that with 1% - 3% (or higher) from Rakuten. Oh, if something is on sale no Cash back. You already saved : ( . I do not buy food online, so I don't know about that.

I was invited by a friend and made a purchase to qualify for the $50 promotion. Then I invited a friend. My friend made a purchase and invited another coworker.
When we had all qualified, they shut down all of our accounts so they wouldn’t have to pay out.
The person who invited me was a member for over 6 years.
They claimed that inviting other people is a terms of service violation.
Kind of a crazy policy if you’re offering financial incentive for it.
If anyone else has had this happen, let me know. We’re looking to get 40 people together to file a class action lawsuit.

While all the clothing fit - there was very little that I liked. I was expecting clothes that I could wear into my office. I only received 1 pair of shorts, no pants. Don't feel like they got my styling directions correct
