Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 160 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently found the pricing for entry, parking, and on-site food and beverages to be excessively high, offering poor value. Many encountered extremely long queues for rides, often exceeding an hour for brief attractions, which severely limited their enjoyment. Reviewers also noted numerous closed food outlets and major attractions, contributing to a perception of a tired and poorly maintained park. Furthermore, many consumers reported negative interactions with staff, describing them as rude, unhelpful, and unenthusiastic. However, some people were satisfied with the helpfulness and friendliness of certain staff members, particularly in specific areas. Additionally, a few reviewers found certain attractions, like Miniland or Splashtowers, to be enjoyable, and some children reportedly loved their day.

ROAD SIGNS FOR DROP OFF

ROAD SIGNS FOR DROP OFF

Absolute joke of a place , no clear indications for dropping off , you need to veer left when the sign looks like straight ahead , miss it and its 2 miles back to the roundabout and try again.
The students directing know the square root of nothing and are a waste of time.
Would of expected much more of Legoland and I wasn't even going in.
As for the brown tourist signs through Windsor they are at complete odds to what GPS instructs you to do.

Park really good, hotel not great

Park really good, hotel not so great, Difficult to book and not clear what to book, wont help you rectify mistakes after booking, if you email questions before you stay wont bother replying, park was really good for younger children, I went out of term time and bought fast track passes but still queued long enough. Left feeling incredibly ripped off!!!!

Well well well.....I just saw a review…

Well well well.....I just saw a review on here that proves to me that people are paid to write them without visiting the park.

No entertainment after or before park opens. Playroom open if you are lucky, meet and greet if you are lucky. Tv works if you are lucky!

Food cost more than London prices and not really good quality. Water fountain available outside Duplo valley toilets but as I watched adults use these to wash hands no Thanks.
Duplo valley has a cafe only gold and platinum Merlin holders can use! So while "daddy" watches children " mummy" can't get drinks coz the average family doesn't want gold or platinum Merlin passes.....no drinks for you.

Water towers in Duplo valley was crowded by wheelchairs with elderly grandparents in watching children play ??? While the poor man tried to get all wheelchairs and buggies into the viewing area! No luck there.

Submarine ride entrance was and is very very dirty. Most rides had no bins in queue area so lots of bits of rubbish around.

No benches to sit on!

Rides not running. As they are broken down
Shop in hotel very poorly stocked
Bottle water sold in vending machines at an elevated price.

Fast track ride system very difficult to work unless prebooked.

I took two children and stayed in the castle hotel in the morning they tried to play with the duplo in the reception area but because they removed the blocks from inside the seating area they were told to put them back inside the seating area or they couldn't play with them!!!! So we headed to the playroom no!! Closed

Nothing in the evenings for the children either except throwing lego bricks in the sky bar/ bricks restaurant/ walk through area.....

Really shocked at lack of customer service by the staff who looked like they were working in a funeral directors ....SMILE you might get lego extra money!!!

We came for a good day out and it was great !
Good parking
Yes food can be a little expensive but you can also bring your own ! Great for a picnic
Something for children of all ages and adults
And the splash pad area was perfect with the hot weather
Would definitely recommend even if you don't like Lego it's an amazing place to see 🙂

The staff at the Woodland Village and in the resort were so friendly and accommodating, they could not have done more for us, my son injured himself in the play park the last night we were there and they even drove us down to our Barrel and then picked us back up the next day for breakfast! they really were amazing. We didn't have to queue too long for any of the rides, and that was without buying any fast pass or anything like that, we choose the very popular rides in the early time we had for staying in the resort and honestly had the absolute best holiday ever, made by the staff there!

Kids had a great time but we as parents…

Kids had a great time but we as parents felt didn't feel we received good value. The hotel staff were good but the hotel itself needs improvement. Our shower drain was blocked so after a hot day only one of us was able to shower. After a long day we didn't want the bother of moving rooms or having a handyman in so we just go on with it. The room smelt very damp likely due to the blocked drain in the shower and the room didn't appear to have been hoovered. Queue times in the park were good, we didn't wait longer than 30 mins for a ride which was great. The staff really let down the experience in the park itself. Many staff seemed disinterested and didn't make the experience feel magical at all. We have recently visited Thorpe Park & Paulton's Park and the difference was very noticeable. The food is awful in the hotel restaurant which we already knew but breakfast was included so we ate there and can confirm it is still terrible. Also dissapointed with the early access to the park after staying overnight. The first ride we went on was not open until 10am with the rest of the park, the staff on the ride didnt explain to us only a select few rides are open early. As we walked away we caught another member of staff and asked which rides were open, she advised none of them open until 10am you can just start queueing early. We walked away disapointed but then spotted a ride with people on it. We got in the queue and a lovely lady who was visiting the park explained which ride were open. Overall, we would not return to Legoland in the future.

Poor value and needs improvement

Disappointed in the food offerings and overall the park needs better signage. No one around to ask directions and the workers in food stands we did ask for directions (since there wasn't anyone else) gave incorrect and outdated information. On a hot day this was very disappointing. Also the splash area for smaller children was out of order and being worked on. Really???? On one of the hottest days of the year in July. Not good enough. Very poor. In general not worth the money for those she'd 3 to 5 and wouldn't return. There are better places to visit with little ones.

Kids loved it, adults definitely did not.

I will start by saying the kids had a great time and loved it all. However, the adults not so much. Hotel is very tired and not clean. Our sheets were dirty on arrival.Housekeeping was poor enough as when they remade the bed they just pulled the top sheet and duvet over and left crumpled sheet and objects underneath. The food was not great. I am suffering from very bad stomach bug all the way home, there is no way of telling if it is a bug or food poisoning. The various shampoo and hand wash bottles around the hotel were either wrong or empty. The worst thing really was the staff, nobody knew anything and the customer service was poor especially from alot of the young staff - this was the same for the park although in the park older staff were friendly. Highlights included the kids entertainment and the park itself was great for my 6 and 4 year old as we chose a Tuesday in English term time so que times were manageable. Overall kids would give it 5 , parents 1 hence the score of 3. We travelled from Ireland and all in all it was too expensive for the standard of hotel. We stayed 2 nights ina pirate room.

I disagree with most of the negative…

I disagree with most of the negative reviews here. Many complaints seem to come from unrealistic expectations. Queue times and on-site prices were fairly typical for a large theme park, the park itself was well maintained, and there were plenty of places to sit and eat a packed lunch. Staff were friendly and genuinely tried to help, although they often seemed undertrained and lacked the tools and resources they needed.

The rides were great for families, with plenty suitable for younger children. During our visit only one ride was closed, and overall we had a very enjoyable day.

So why only 3 stars? Poor communication between departments, EVERY department. Individually, staff members went above and beyond to help us, but the different areas simply didn't communicate with each other.

This started at the hotel, where staff couldn't tell us whether the bottled drinks in our room were complimentary because no one seemed to know who was responsible for putting them there. I have to say, the bewilderment of everyone we spoke to was almost entertaining. No one had heard of drinks being placed on the counters before, but both of our two rooms had six sealed bottles each lined up in neat rows. The manager wanted to pick them up to be safe as it wasn't his department, but decided we could keep them as they would only be binned upon collection anyway.

The following morning, collecting our pre-booked refill cups involved being repeatedly sent between Guest Services, the main shop, and the sweet shop, only to then discover the barcode date stamps were different to those on our confirmation emails. This back and forth swallowed the early park access incentive of booking the hotel, as well as a good chunk of our mobility scooter's battery going up and down the hills. Afterwards we found that one member of our party (with *pre-declared* allergies) couldn't use the drinks package anyway because every single option contained artificial sweeteners , and nobody could agree who was responsible for processing a refund. To help make up for lost time, guest services issued us each with a single-use fast track pass.

Later, after successfully using disabled access on several rides, we were suddenly told we needed a separate accessibility pass—something Guest Services had never mentioned despite seeing our disability IDs multiple times. Rather than sending us back across the park again, the Sensory Services team stepped in, made a few calls, and issued us 24 hour Fast Track passes as an alternative means to grant us accessible ride access.

Overall, each individual team member really did do their best for us. Matilda was a particular stand-out, as well as an older gentleman working the ticket office I didn't get the name of.

The park itself is enjoyable and I would return, I found most of the negative reviews to be subjectively unfounded. But the lack of communication and coordination between departments caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and drained our mobility scooter battery before we'd even properly started the day. The hybrid solution/compensation in the form of 24 hour fast track passes did put a satisfying cap on the entire negative experience, allowing us accessible entry to rides as well as the opportunity to recoup lost time.

Fix the internal organisation, give your employees the tools and administrative power they need, and this would easily be a much higher-rated experience.

Thankyou to all who helped us in our various situations.

Daughter birthday

We visited LEGOLAND Windsor Resort for our daughter’s 4th birthday, and we had a lovely day out. It’s the perfect place for a 4-year-old, with plenty of fun rides and attractions designed for younger children. Even as adults, we really enjoyed ourselves and had a great day together.

There is a lot of walking around the park, but we didn’t mind because we were having such a good time.

The only downside was the food. We ate at City Walk Pizza & Pasta inside the park, and it was incredibly expensive for what was offered. The buffet only included pizza, pasta and salad, with very limited choice. What disappointed us most was that children under 5 are charged £13.25 for the buffet. How much can a 4-year-old really eat? It didn’t seem like good value at all.

Despite the food prices, we had a wonderful day overall and made some fantastic memories celebrating our daughter’s birthday. We’d definitely recommend LEGOLAND Windsor Resort for families with young children.

I went to Legoland yesterday with my son, who has special needs. Everything was fine until midday, when, by accident, we joined the queue for the Hydro Challenge attraction, instead of the normal queue. We waited 35 minutes, without being served at all, and once we realized it was the Fast Track lane, we waited another 30 minutes for two managers to arrive, who were completely out of touch. They mocked us, with blatant disregard, and what I would say was a huge difference in treatment based on nationality. In fact, George, one of the staff members, was especially unfriendly. After all this time, my child and our whole family were never the same. Those two managers and the staff could not understand us. I believe they are incapable of being in those managerial roles and of grasping the realities of parents with special needs children. They need far more training so they can understand these situations. At the end of the day, we must be treated as human beings, not with such blatant disdain. I am extremely disappointed, and this ruined our entire day.

Didn’t live up to expectations, customer service poor

Sadly didn’t live up to expectations. Our kids had a wonderful day, and enjoyed the rides, but from an adult’s perspective there’s a lot of room for improvement.

Signage is terrible, we were constantly checking which way we needed to go or asking people. We paid for the £30 unlimited photo pass, but only used it three times as it wasn’t working on one ride and wasn’t staffed on another. Some areas of the park are looking tired. There’s lots of walking to get to areas, then when you get there there’s sometimes only one or two rides, like the Ninjago area. There’s limited seating or places to eat your own food, and green areas are sometimes fenced off. Generally looking tired and unloved in places. Staff could be a bit causal, not especially warm.

We had a fast pass due to a disability, and thankfully we didn’t have to wait long for rides. It was also quite quiet on a weekday.

What left a sour taste in my mouth was the customer service from the guest services area. We bought the unlimited refill drink option for the day, for £16, because we wanted to have “full fat” coke, which was an option on the signage next to the Flight of the Lion drink station (a great ride, by the way). When we bought the drink, it wasn’t an option on the machine, and after trying several more refills stations we realised it’s not available. In short, they no longer offer it, but haven’t updated their signage. Guest services refused to offer a refund, saying they would take our feedback onboard. Essentially we paid £16 for a cup, we were totally miss-sold. After speaking to three people in guest services, I gave up. They refused to let me speak to the manager who was making the final decision - they were available as were relaying messages - and kept referring back to the law which apparently prevented them from selling it (but not from advertising it as available, seemingly). After reading the reviews on here, I’ll claim a refund via my bank instead of complaining again, as I can’t imagine they’ll even bother to respond.

Go to Paulton’s Park instead - it’s everything that Legoland isn’t.

DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I’m trying to change the date of my overnight stay because my son has fractured his tibia and is now in a full leg cast. As a result, he won’t be able to go on any of the rides, yet your team has refused to offer any assistance or flexibility with our booking.

Taking £375 for a one-night stay was quick enough, but when a genuine family emergency arises, there seems to be no willingness to help. For an attraction that prides itself on being family-friendly, this is extremely disappointing. It’s time to practice what you preach.

The complete lack of compassion and customer service in these circumstances is unacceptable!

A huge warning to any parents thinking…

A huge warning to any parents thinking of booking a birthday trip to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Short Breaks. Their complete lack of accountability, broken systems, and non-existent customer service completely ruined my daughter’s 5th birthday.
We booked a special stay for her birthday, only to find out from a friend—the night before our trip—that you have to pre-book basic amenities like breakfast and the swimming pool 30 days in advance.
LEGOLAND completely failed to send us any of the automated pre-arrival emails or booking links. If my friend hadn't told us, were we supposed to just guess? Would my children have gone without breakfast because LEGOLAND’s systems failed to communicate?
When I called to sort it out, the agent outright promised me on a recorded line that a manager would review the case and call me back that same day. That call never happened. We were left completely in the dark on my daughter’s birthday.
Now, their customer service team has emailed to basically say, "Sorry, our systems are limited, you might have opted out of emails (I didn't), and we won't offer any gesture of goodwill because of health and safety."
Using "health and safety" to hide behind your own systemic communication failures and broken customer service promises is pathetic. A gesture of goodwill isn't asking to bypass pool capacity; it’s standard business practice to acknowledge when your company messes up a family's special trip.
Zero empathy. Zero ownership. Thanks for ruining a 5th birthday, LEGOLAND.

Not comfortable! Terrible food! Activities for kids open late

The resort hotel rooms are nicely decorated, and the attractions are good albeit old. However, hotel cleanliness is not great; quality of the water in the pool is not great; resort opening times (10am) is silly noting that this is a kids theme park (should be open since 8am); playroom in hotel only opens at 3pm (crazy!); the “cherry” on top of the cake: the food and beverage are expensive and AWFUL quality; and the double beds mattresses may have not been changed ever, as I could feel the springs in my back. In summary: an “ok” theme park for kids. Don’t recommend!

Day visit & hotel stay review June 2026

Day visit & hotel stay review June 2026

First visit !

Arrived and parked at hotel and desk staff ultra slow but friendly and helpful. Left luggage In car and explored hotel.

Was able to enter park at 9.30am half an hour before main guests. Room would be ready to check in by 4pm.

It was raining which quite frankly was an absolute blessing !!! Pick a wet day to visit every time.

We rode every ride in the park except a couple we didn’t want to and one closed for renovation! There were literally no queues on any ride longer than five minutes . Almost all we walked straight onto.

We brought rain ponchos with us so the rain didn’t matter. Pick long ones so wet seats won’t wet clothes.

Staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful without exception.

We ate lunch In the park, far too expensive (burgers/fries) but served hot and tasted good. We didn’t buy the £16 refill cups because 1/ the cups are so ugly 2/ £16. 3/ it was so wet and 4/ we don’t like fizzy stuff much.

We did get some of the pop badges for the youngest child although they are all the same two styles. Staff didn’t seem to offer any and nobody we saw was swapping or bothering with them.

The toilets were all clean, plenty soap paper etc

The park does look run down In places and definitely needs attractions more suitable to older kids and family members. It’s seems got become a primary school age park in the main now as far as rides are concerned.

The hill train not running wasn’t great for disabled visitors and I saw one lady very upset she didn’t think she could physically manage to climb back up the steep hill again .

The gift shops were well stocked and yes prices are high but they are about what you pay at any gift shop these days.

The hotel room was a standard room clean and comfortable. Very spacious. Towels provided and some pump dispenser toiletries although they are pretty much odourless and cheap. Some nice little branded LEGO toiletries would be a nicer touch!

The little Lego gifts In the room safe accessed by completed a mini in room hunt are a little treat for the children . Basic Lego bricks to play with I assume they avoid fancy figures and pieces to avoid loss by theft which is a shame. Lego tv can be on round the clock.

The main bed was soft and comfy, the bunks too. Room temp can be controlled to suit self . I do think they could improve the theme decor a little all round, nice as it is there could be so much more for the extremely high prices charged.

Birthday card and badge left in room for our little one who was having a birthday the next day which was nice. We brought our own cake and decorations and some Lego gifts to keep costs down.

The hotel pool is small and warm but not quite warm enough we didn’t feel. For children running about the splash zone and slides it’s fine but parents wandering keeping an eye on them found the water and ambient temp of the room would be better a few degrees warmer! Free digital lockers for clothes and valuables and free use of towels at the pool is great.

The playroom is super, loads for children to play with although again the basics bricks to build with would frustrate older kids. Parents can order things like nachos and a glass of wine and sit watching.

No issues with noise at night whatsoever. Never heard anybody else at all.

Only saw one character which was disappointing and this could and should be built on for hotel guests and park guests. Maybe on dry days it is.

We had a great visit but I can see that was in fact due to rain all day and being a term time week day.

Picking a rainy day but coming weather ready seems to me to be the absolute best idea ! The park felt empty and with no queues at all we whizzed ride to ride and had time to sit and have lunch and coffee stops (Costa / usual prices but not made anywhere near as nicely).

The hotel was a one off novelty , worked well for us as we booked using a heavy discount we had. We really enjoyed it, room for improvements in as much as they could add more Lego models /
Themed items at each pay bracket but overall we were happy.

Let’s be honest for a park meant for children it’s never going to satisfy us weary parents entirely , we pay too much money and try to make it perfect but if you ask my kids who spent the day in the rain in oversized plastic ponchos they would say it was perfect !

As is often the case, I paid far too much money to make my kids happy !

But did it work?

It most certainly did.

And that makes me as happy as them :-)

And yes, one of my children is disabled with special needs, we didn’t use the RAP because no queues. Staff could see their disability and were welcoming and supportive. Many are young and I also noted many staff appeared to neurodiverse or have challenges themselves which was lovely to see!

We may be back, in the future. But for now it’s done and we take away fun memories.

Disability ignorance

Astounded with what happened today. I was told (even though I had all of the paperwork to evidence and had pre booked and spoken to members of staff prior to coming) that I couldn’t possibly be a carer for my disabled son and have disabilities myself. The attitude of Maria at the ticket office (who is apparently a manager so you’d hope had better disability and equality training…) was awful. My son is severely autistic and the whole point of pre booking and being organised enough to check everything before embarking on a 7 hour round trip journey was to avoid exactly what happened. I somehow found myself debating with someone who was very clearly ignorant around disability that you can (of course) care for a child with complex and high needs and have your own disabilities. My son started to become distressed and so I had no choice but to pay the full price just to be allowed into the park. She tried to stop me going in claiming I hadn’t paid (my PA was sorting out the extra payment and we had a ticket+ one carer for my disabled son?) even though I physically had the ticket on my phone. Appalling experience and unfortunately caused stress and ruined the start of the experience. Made worse by childish sniggers and patronising comments and then attempting to blame her colleagues for “misinforming me” regardless of the fact I explained the law around disability discrimination.

The staff are grumpy and rude, most the cafes were closed and it is entirely reliant on you using a smart phone and the app (not accessible for all needs).

In general for a week day the access experience was easy as it was so quiet. But the staff don’t smile, don’t offer to help and don’t really engage in the experience at all. The other thing to be aware of is although they have access across the park when it comes to the shop they don’t. The queue at the end of the day was huge and it was chaotic in there. I had wanted to get my son a little gift to remember the day but after waiting 20 mins and the line barely moving we had to leave as he couldn’t cope. We did ask staff if they could help and they just said no- no active awareness of autism or access needs even though there is in the rest of the park? Those access needs don’t change in a shop as they still apply everywhere?

However, we had a lovely experience (and the only reason they had two stars) with the young girl in the haunted mansion and a member of staff who was cleaning the bins. The lady in the haunted mansion: She was amazing with my son and the situation and totally got it and helped us without making us feel bad for chanting our minds realising it could have caused a health condition to flare up. Very kind and empathetic and helpful. She should be in management and front of house as that is exactly the sort of customer care needed for many families already going through a tough time.

The chap cleaning the bins: very helpful and kind and had no problem stopping to help and direct even though he was clearly very busy.

Thank you to them both.

Could be improved so easily

Only running half the amount of cars on rides artificially in increasing queue times. Half the amount of staff needed so lots of time wasted in setting up rides. Experience could be improved massively with more staff.
Awful for the price.
