Be VERY careful of this company

Be VERY careful of this company! Was accused of breaking something when we genuinely didn’t.
Took van home to load up for trip day later, thought would work out how the beds go etc and found broken slats on the lounge area bed. Immediately contacted them and sent this picture. Was told to “pop” to B&Q to get some ply to put over it! Hence we had extremely uncomfortable sleep with it -although we got some wooden slats to use - it was also a complete pain getting out and putting away along with making the bed area smaller due to how and where the slat broke.
When we returned the van we advised again of the issue, was told to email in etc which we did a day later. Got reply saying will take up to 7 days. Received phone call 8 days later and apparently they are 50/50 with it as they believe the cleaner who supposedly checked the bed before it was sent out! As a business owner myself and in the service industry you would just suck it up and at least offer a gesture, not actually accuse a customer of breaking something and argue black and blue over it. Avoid at all costs!

Landcruise in Oving have gone downhill.

Landcruise have gone downhill.
The handover was rushed- no proper checks - with someone who did'nt seems to know much about the motorhome.
Almost all motorway driving and on arrival the water tank pipe was dragging on the ground- the bracket was broken. As we discovered next day, this meant the water tank holds no water - so no water for showers, washing up etc. Luckily we found a campsite with full facilities so the holiday was saved.
On return we expected compensation and an apology - everything has to be on email as there's no-one in the office to speak to. Instead we were told that we" would not have to pay for the damage" as we had taken out insurance with them - and no apology.
As I mentioned in my last email to them, that sums up their attitude to customer service.

DO NOT USE.

DO NOT USE.

In 25 years, I have never experienced customer service like I received here. Especially from Lorraine.

We had 2 quite significant faults with the vehicle on our trip. The first was with the handbrake where the sensor would not switch off but the handbrake had been released. It sometimes took 45 minutes to rectify and we lost a significant amount of time on our trip because of this.

We also had a faulty fridge and it would not work when driving. Considering we spent 75% of the day driving, we had to throw away our initial food shop (£75 worth) and then had to eat out for lunch and dinner for 10 nights, adding a considerable cost to our trip.

We highlighted the issues whilst we were away but found the advice from the workshop useless as they couldn't help.

Upon returning the vehicle, the fridge was inspected where it was confirmed it was broken (the workshop guy literally implied that they thought we had been lying) and they also inspected the brake discs to ensure ethe faulty handbrake had not impacted them which they confirmed all was good. They refused to test the issue there and then nut said they would do it later.

I submitted a complaint as per there procedures and the response I received back after 7 days is the most disgustingly written response (by the co-owner) I have read.

This sentence below suggesting that we were at fault with how we were using the Motorhome literally blew my mind!!

"An inspection of the fridge showed that a fuse connecting it to the vehicle battery had blown. This is highly unusual and raises the question what pressure was the vehicle battery under to cause a fuse to blow"

All I was looking for was an acknowledgement of the issues we had encountered and a small gesture for the food we had to throw away but they have refused to continue and told us to go to the Ombudsman instead.

I work in Sales and Service and understand that customers expectations are not always met but there ways of communicating and offering a professional response when you don't agree with the complaint but this still shocks me.

I suggest you use any other business for your Motorhome holidays.

Unfortunately our trip away was ruined

Unfortunately our trip away was ruined, by not having a working shower that would heat up, one of the amenities you need when camping, in fact it was the main reason we chose to hire a camper van, so we could have HOT showers. After calling the office 4 times, no solutions was given, we asked for a generator to be bought to us so we could then use it. Nope; this wasn’t offered, not even a call back. After calling back again, we are then told they will look into it and find out what the issue is. To then just have a call and a VM left ‘try the fuses’ sorry what fuses. We aren’t about to go fiddle around with parts on the van and jeopardise our security deposit. The engineer team, wasn’t helpful at all. We’ve gone a whole trip with no hot water/ no heating. Very disappointing that none of this is checked before you hire and not a care or any form of customer service what so ever. In fact my husband was spoken to rather rudely when he had trialled everything over the phone and it still wasn’t working, being spoken to like it was our fault.

Edit - after returning the campervan and heading to the office to discuss the problems we had, we was scoffed at by a Lorraine- asked ‘well, what do you want from me’ ‘come on then, what is it you want’ ‘well did you have a bed and a toilet’ the absolute shocking and lack of professionalism, being spoken to in such a rude manor, is disgraceful. Yes we may of had these thing, but I have a bed in my awning on our van and a portable toilet, we hired a motorhome for the convenience of having hot water & a shower. When you are travelling with children and it rains and they want to have a hot shower to warm up & putting the heating on from being damp and wet, should be available for the price you pay. Having absolutely no customer service or resolution on the numerous calls made, even calling the office twice to no answer- on the 3rd day of calling. Absolutely shocking!!

Ps. I have every conversation recorded, so please try and lie your way out of this one, I already read the reviews before contacting the office, everything has been noted. If you’d like me to provide this, before you make up some fabrications. Other wise I’ll post these to my following on TikTok that is just over 7k 😜

Edit -
On putting in a formal complaint as Lorraine advised us she couldn’t deal with refunds. We’ve had a reply from Lorraine saying she refuses our request. Lorraine also lied and said she never said the things she did. Well guess what, I have it all recorded. See you in small claims court 👍🏻🤣

Our LandCruise Experience was fantastic

We recently had a few nights away in one their brand new motorhomes and I must say that the whole experience was really good.

It was a very smooth operation from collection to return. The staff were really nice and very accommodating.

As a family of 5 we went away in a Ford Auto Roller 707, the vehicles come with everything you need and I think we used pretty much all of the items supplied.
As we are new to this type of mini break there were lots of things we didn't know about motorhoming, especially how things work. LandCruise have come up with a handy QR code system for all items both inside and out, again, we used this and it worked seamlessly (note that you it's all on YouTube so you need mobile data or wifi).

All in all we had a good time even it we were let down by the UK weather.

Would I recommend? Yes I would !

Happy motorhoming.

What a bunch of shysters

What a bunch of shysters. Booked a motorhome in 2019, covid got in the way. Accepted a credit note for £500 but wife became ill and unable to use through acute mobility issues. Asked for refund, told to *** off and claim on insurance. Only reason for a one star review is that zero or negative numbers are not available.
Please consider using a different company, as far as my experience goes, they're a bunch of crooks

An awful company that is best avoided.

An awful company that is best avoided.
Remind me of the wild west days of car hire.
I reserved a motor home for a weekend away, then was harrassed by the company to pay up for the full amount, which we reluctantly did 3 weeks ahead of the booking date.
2 weeks ahead of the event a personal crisis meant that we needed to cancel. Landruise would not even refund a penny... even the extra money that they had charged us for using their gas bottle in the vehicle. They hid behind their terms and conditions and felt no compunction to refund us any of the hundreds of pounds we'd paid out well in advance for a service/rental that we cancelled well in advance and had no direct impact on their overheads. I could understand losing your deposit, but the full amount?!?
I would book with any company in future over these cowboys
