I moved to Madeira two years ago and started a Portuguese Company focused on Real Estate development. I initially engaged an Accounting Firm recommended by an acquaintance, but that really did not work out well. The challenge on Madeira is finding an Accountant that actually knows business. At the end of 2023, I switched to Globalfisco Management and could not be happier. I am used to professional accounting firms, which are difficult find on Madeira. I have found Globalfisco to be very professional, responsive and eager to handle the challenges that tend to emerge in Portugal. There English is just about perfect and they are there to explain how the Portuguese system works, which for a foreigner can be quite challenging.
