It was my first time ordering with this company and definitely wont be last :) I am super happy with the bare roots I received (ornamental grasses, hosta and Astilbe). They were in really good cond... See more

Well recommended for Quality all around.
I put in a small order to ‘try them out’ after a bad experience with another supplier. What a difference! Farmer Gracy’s give good communication, high quality products and even instructions on how to plant your purchase (In my case, tulip bulbs), which I found very easy to follow and was glad of the advice as I am a novice.
So far, they are the best company I have used.
Well recommended.
Very disappointing experience
I put an order in 7th August and keep getting emails stating my order is on its way. I cancelled all further orders after reading the reviews. I am very disappointed! I would like my money back.
Not what I orderd!
My plants have just started flowering so I can see that some are not what I ordered. It’s appears at least 6 are incorrect. Many tubers I had to send back (in spring) as they had gall and they were generally of much poorer quality than what I have bought elsewhere and what I had from FG last year. I won’t be ordering from them for next season. Their customer care was good but receiving a number of incorrect tubers and poor quality tubers is not good enough.
First time order- very impressed
First time using this company but it wont be the last.I ordered a variety of bulbs some time ago(i knew they would be dispatched later in the year). The delivery was seamless,When the bulbs were due I received clear concise updates More importantly the bulbs in my opinion are of an excellent quality , ever single one was a good size and they all looked very healthy. The bulbs were very well packaged with planting instructions written on each package.
Don't waste your money
I've already left a review, I've also sent countless emails but I've had no reply from them.
If you want plants, bulbs or tubers dont buy from Farmer Gracy. I ordered a number of plants, tubers and bulbs, over half didn't grow. I'm just so annoyed with myself that I used Farmer Gracy, really wish I hadn't.
Disappointing quality and a policy that forces you to pay for their duds
I purchased three Tecophilaea cyanocrocus bulbs from Farmer Gracy and planted them carefully in a dedicated pot, strictly following the depth and drainage instructions. Despite these controlled conditions, the bulbs had a 0% germination rate. Upon inspection, the bulbs had completely rotted beneath the surface.
When I contacted customer service, they attributed the total failure to my growing conditions and cited a policy requiring customers to report dormant bulb viability within 14 days of delivery - a standard that makes no sense for items that must be planted to test viability.
While they offered a £13.27 credit voucher, this is completely insufficient to actually replace the three bulbs I bought once current pricing and delivery fees are factored in. Their resolution effectively forces buyers to spend more money out of pocket just to replace failed stock.
I will not be buying from Farmer Gracy again. I strongly advise other buyers to beware of their policy: once the 14-day window passes, the financial risk of non-viable stock falls entirely on the customer - and this ridiculous policy applies to dormant bulbs (and plants)!
Disappointing experience
Disappointing experience - my tubers and bare roots got damaged on delivery and therefore were sent back to Farmer Gracy by the delivery company. Very confusing communication from Farmer Gracy and DPD concerning this as both telling me different things.
Many of the items I then ordered were out of stock and Farmer Gracy’s customer service team said there was nothing further they could do. I’d specifically ordered the items for when I had time off to plant them and they arrived over a month later when I was incredibly busy at work so it really wasn’t ideal. I genuinely thought there would be some goodwill gesture seen as, as the customer, I has massively missed out, but they said a rather half hearted apology and that was it.
One of the bare root hydrangeas I received was considerably smaller than the others and months on is still struggling compared to the rest. I didn’t bother contacting FG regarding this as felt their response about my damaged order was pretty dismissive!
Despite FG extensive range, I now order elsewhere. Unfortunately they’ve lost someone who would have been a life long customer.
OMG..this company is amazing and well…
OMG..this company is amazing and well priced.
I've bought absolutely tons of plant from poppies, lupins, delphinium to geums, spent a small fortune but all bought as root stock all are thriving. This is a must especially for beginners who need everything to start and fill a garden. Reasonably priced, packed very well and healthy stock.
I've saved them to my home screen. They are great value especially if you have a tiny budget. They are so good spent another small fortune on winter bulbs in July, which are due shortly. I bought 100s of Alliums purple and white and tulips my early Christmas present 🎁 to myself.
Yes im hooked. They only deliver when you can plant which is amazing but it makes you spend more. That's my excuse...
Love, love, love ❤️ this company
super bulbs and order often
Always had super bulbs and order often
Highly recommend
What you order V what you get
When you spent time planning and organising all of your garden colours & only at the point of flowering do you realise the retailer is perhaps not all it’s cracked up to be… this is FG.
My pink and cream flower bed is currently filled with what can only be described as a flamenco orange Gladiolus. 30 of them🥴 Not the plan.

Beautifully packaged and arrived on…
Beautifully packaged and arrived on time but the plants themselves have been poor for the price. The geum has done ok, had a couple of flowers but am hoping next year it will have established, it has been a very hot year to be fair but the 2 dahlias, neither have thrived, 1 is just showing signs of life and 1 died. I am a gardener, and dahlias that I have been given as tubers from my clients have all done well. Had these plants been bought cheaply I would have expected this quality but I feel the company is quite expensive for the plants being received.

Caladiums
I ordered two caladium bulbs. They were delivered swiftly and I was happily surprised by the quality of the bulbs as they have grown much more than expected. Therefore I would really recommend Farmer Gracy. I also appreciate the consideration towards the environment.
Poor quality plants and even worse customer service
I have been buying from Farmer Gracey for several years and there has always been the odd plant that didn't succeed, however, this year I would say my failure rate was 50%. When I approached them for a refund or replacement they wanted proof of where they were planted alongside loads of other information. Like most other people, my garden isn't currently very green but earlier in the season it was beautiful. I was asked what I did when I received my plants and how long it was before they were planted out. I got the feeling that what ever response I gave them they would have told me I should have done if differently.
In the end I was given a credit (not a refund) for £35, which is a fraction of the cost of the plants that failed. Lesson learned, from now on my custom will be placed with Sarah Raven, whose customer service is far quicker and fairer. Farmer Gracey you have lost a very good customer!

Incredibly disappointing
I was really disappointed with my experience. I spent over £80 on a selection of bare-root perennials and dahlia tubers chosen specifically because they suited my growing conditions.
I garden successfully and have had good results with many other plants this season. Although I grow in containers, I use appropriate compost amended to each plants' requirements and feed accordingly.
Unfortunately, the majority of this order either failed to establish put on almost no growth. Of the plants I ordered:
One dahlia tuber was rotten and failed.
Two of the three geums I ordered failed to grow. The third is still tiny (I'm talking 2" high and about 6 leaves).
Both echinaceas failed to establish.
Two irises failed to grow.
The phlox, despite costing £16.79 for five bare roots, has made very little progress. Two bare roots failed, the remaining three are plants of 6" tall and so disappointing I'll probably bin them as it seems unlikely I'll see any flowers and I'm not willing to waste what small space I have on plants doing nothing.
The achillea flowered, but the blooms were entirely white rather than the advertised colours.
The only real successes have been one flowering dahlia and healthy rose. Two other dahlias have lots of leaves, I suspect one will flower later in the year but I wouldn't be surprised if the third doesn't flower this year.
I appreciate that not every bare-root perennial will put on a spectacular display in its first year, but I expected a much higher success rate than this. For over £80, I didn't receive good-quality stock or value for money, and I won't be ordering from Farmer Gracy again. £80 for one flowering dahlia, a rose and an achillea that isn't the colour advertised is actually offensive. I might as well have bought my plants from Asda. I'll go to my local nursery next time. Farmer Gracy appears to be style over substance.

Farmer gracey is really hit and miss…
Farmer gracey is really hit and miss with their products, I would say only 60% of everything I bought actually grew, a lot has completely failed and did absolutely nothing. Unfortunately I won't be purchasing anymore from them as those odds are just not good enough for me. I've used several other gardening companies before, and I've never experienced such poor growth rates with any of them.
Finally the plants arrived a few weeks…
Finally the plants arrived a few weeks ago but only half of them have survived their growing I am most disappointed one twig like specious never had a chance of life to be fair. I would advise not to purchase from them if you want to take a chance that’s up to you but wasteful.
Hanging Double Begonias are nothing…
Hanging Double Begonias are nothing like what I ordered, mine look week and not a double flower to be seen , I have questioned Farmer Gracy several times about this problem and all they say is give them time but with only 2 months of summer left they are not showing signs of improvement , where as all my other double begonias from other suppliers are perfect
This is my first and last order Farmer Gracy will get from me
Great delivery service
Great delivery service. Items were packaged well and I was given leaflets for each plant with planing and care advice.
Pleasantly surprised
I've bought twice now from Farmer Gracy and I've been pleasantly surprised by them. Bare roots arrived well packaged and labeled, in pretty good condition, and on sale were a good price. I especially liked the hardy geranium breeders mix, really good value and I got one of each type: woodland/meadow, spreading/border and alpine. They have some more unusual species too like Gaura and Baptisia. Everything grew well except the 3x balkan blue grass, which looked pretty ropey when they turned up. I contacted FG and it took a while before they responded but they did refund me. I haven't tried their bulbs yet. I wish they didn't email me quite so much. Otherwise good.
Rotten bare roots
Ordered a large selection of bare roots. Several were dead/rotten on arrival. The ones that weren't are now blooming and look great but would not buy bare roots from here again as had about a 60% success rate.
