Extremely professional and caring agents
I purchased my first ever trailer from Blue Compass RVs and the whole crew was very helpful and a blessing to work with. My agent, Dale Rickard, went above and beyond to work with me from start to finish of purchase. I couldn't be more happy with my Highlander & was blessed to have such caring agents to deal with.
Very disrespectful to potential…
Very disrespectful to potential customers. Would I recommend them? Definitely not. After applying for a loan and multiple calls to get an update, I was NEVER given the respect on an answer. My credit scores are average and credit worthy as I found out by a real RV dealer that cares about their customers. The sales, mgmt and finance department are a joke as I was warned prior about!
Fraudulent dealership
Fraudulent dealership. Lied about year of unit. Taking them to court
Be very careful with this RV dealer in…
Be very careful with this RV dealer in Gainesville, FL. They absolutely took advantage of an elderly couple a few weeks ago. Sold them a trailer that they can't tow with their vehicle and then continued to lie about it. Sure.....the truck would TECHNICALLY tow it, but the pin weight dry was already overweight for the truck without any equipment, occupants, or fuel and water. This renders the vehicle absolutely overweight for the truck. This means if there is any sort of accident(Whether they hit, or are hit), they will automatically be liable and the insurance will not pay the claim. Once the concern was brought up, they said sorry about your luck. They also scammed them on the price and will not provide any signed paperwork. So....if you do business with salesmen like Ray that take advantage of elderly people, shame on you. A lawyer is going to have a field day with this one.
We chose BlueCompass for professional set up for our new Motor Home Towing needs (Flat Tow)
John, our Service Technician did an excellent job installing Flat tow system needs for our new Trailblazer. I wanted a reliable system for our safety and others on the highway, feel met every need and appreciate his work. Then Suzy also helped with us with the dollar savings by telling us about the Bluecompass RV Complete membership.

I paid 7.000$ for a solar system for a conversion van. I understand that is small change compared to what they normally charge for rvs. However, they agreed to install system. After that they said here you go. I tried to ask questions about it, since im new to the operation. Unceremoniously i was told install app, go to you tube. This does this and that does that. Have fun good luck. It was a custom install with no wiring diagram. When i started having problems with it they told me 100$ to diagnose. After tech got around to looking at it, he tightened a loose wire. 10 minutes and they charged me 125$ what a break they gave me. Smile to my face while there hand is on my wallet.

I have been trying to get my travel trailers.Water to the sink working, and it does not work. And they keep trying to give me excuses.I have to take it to the dealership again.Hopefully this time to get worked on. When I call the service department, they give me the runaround.Send me to 10 different people. All i'm guessing what's going on.
Pressure from Finance Manager during purchase and outright lies.
I purchased a used Airstream from Airstream of San Diego (Blue Compass) and had a disappointing experience overall. During closing, I felt strong pressure from the finance manager to purchase an extended service contract, despite declining it after researching Blue Compass’s reputation for service delays and poor communication.
After purchase, I was given incorrect information about my manufacturer warranty and told I had none because I declined their extended coverage. That was not true, and I had to go directly to Airstream and another dealership to resolve the issue and obtain my proper warranty as a second owner.
The only positive part of the experience was the service technician who did the trailer walkthrough—he was knowledgeable, professional, and extremely helpful.
Unfortunately, I would never purchase anything from Blue Compass!
Their employees have filthy attitudes
Their employees have filthy attitudes. Sam Sitko is a “lovely” person. Enjoy spending your money somewhere else where they don’t call you a bunch of names. Will add pictures.
From “Sam Sitko” their lovely employee.
Hello , is this Richard!? Im Sam. The gentleman selling the washer and dryer set . Yes we would be willing to take $400 , cash only !! If that works for you and let me know when you would like to pick them up .
Thats not my problem! Pictures were posted on fb market place , where you seen them to begin with , which also includes a description of the set ! Not only that you've wasted my time for 2 days now . When I replied back to your msg . Its not my fault your to stupid , to use your own logic to see you already had all the info , so there was no need for me to try and sell them they will do that on their own ! Also I have a washer and dryer and you dnt lol so yes I will definitely keep my second set & sell them to someone who's not a complete dumbass!
I will NOT spend my money here
Blue Compass RV Longs SC
I will NOT spend my money here. They will NOT get my service again. I would give no stars if I could. We had our RV for over 5 years and this store sold it to us. We had problems with the sales person Bill, from day 1. He moved to a new job and company, before our sale to then hand us over as we were passed around. Understood, things happen. We needed the outdoor fridge replaced from purchase date, to be sent a fridge to large, a small freezer and a y fridge that was also to big and door would not open in the hole. Bill then returned as our service co-ordinator. We took our camper in last month for warranty work .. for possible upgrade...an awning coming off and a broken AC). We had to call over and over leaving messages with NO return calls, two weeks I. Still not made it in the shop. Three weeks in messages with no return calls, to finally reaching him to be told our keys were lost and the repair person was no longer working on our camper. This phone calling with no response continues... Six weeks later received a text it was ready for pick up, called left message, finally spoke to Bill asked if AC had been changed ... we were told it was cleaned and working... we asked him to check it before we drove there... he called us back and stated "oh, your right, it's still blowing hot air. Will order a new one". We were working on possibly coming in to purchase a new one... but as this continued with the service department... our mind was made up... we will drive elsewhere. So we did, sitting in another town working on a trade in on Wednesday we called to see its status, Bill off for the day (we also called him Monday, to check on its status, no response,) spoke with service manager Chris who stated our "Your RV is ready for pick up. When are you coming to get it"?. We had the other company pull up the work completed ... no where on it stated AC had been changed. Thursday we drove down unloaded our RV to have Jermey the salesman we were going to work with approach us and ask "so you would prefer to go elsewhere and spend more money then buy from us?" why Jeremy, what I spent less or more is none of your business and it's not always about money. So AVOID THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT. This is what you will be dealing with If your working with BILL. As for SALES AVOID JEREMY, not concerned about approach or customers but rather making the sale.
If you can go somewhere else do so
If you can go somewhere else do so. After your purchase an RV from them, they do not care about you as a customer. Their service department is incompetent, lazy, lack communication skills and cannot seem to fix your issues on your RV. Even when they have it for months. I had my brand-new RV in for service for a few issues, one being a leak. They had it for 5 months and did not fix the leak. I then had other issues and brought it back to get those items fixed along with the leak. They had my RV for another 2 months, said they fixed the leak and a week later when it rained it leaked in the same area, they said they fixed.
During this time, I had to personally email with the manufacturer to get the warranty issues completed because their service techs are incompetent and lazy. After my 3rd email with the manufacturer, they approved my repairs. The manufacturer also communicated that Blue Compass had not been in contact with them about my issues. So, I guess that makes them liars as well.
I spoke to the sales and service manager, and they could have cared less. On top of that they head service tech called our RV "that F'N thing while we were standing in the service area. He later apologized and explained that he was frustrated with all the issues our RV had.
While they had my RV for 5 months the temperatures dropped into the 20's. They made me pay to winterize the RV when they had possession of it for 5 months. I am guessing they are in need of the $140 because they are not making money at this location. I explained to them if my RV was at my home, I could have plugged it in and turned the heat and tank heater. They did not care. I live over an hour away from their facility, so it is not easy for me to go pick it up and take it back.
Lastly, I was called several times by the service tech stating that my RV was ready. After asking about each issue to make sure they were complete they would state they have not completed all of the items.
Fraud, Incompetence, Poor VP Response
After 7 purchases in 10 years, this deal ended my relationship with Blue Compass RV. BE WARNED!! MUST READ.
We were repeatedly called back to sign “new paperwork” due to errors by finance manager Michael, who submitted incorrect finance info. They added a $2K roadside plan without our knowledge, buried in the “new paperwork”. I wouldn’t have bought it as I already have coverage. Their errors made the maintenance warranty a separate loan, doubling our payment. Seriously, 2 loans for 1 RV?
Michael told us we couldn’t cancel the warranty and only provided the cover sheet, not the entire contract. We later obtained the full contract and it was clearly eligible to be canceled. Was it incompetence or deception? Caution, finance is having conversations that contradicts what’s written on a legal contract.
Leadership’s response was dismissive. Vice President of Sales Brody Thompson contacted us, questioned our integrity instead of addressing the facts, stating, “This is the reason so many dealerships act as if they don’t care about the customer, because it’s clear so many customers care not to keep their word.” Then he closes his letter; “Two sides to a story”. This response speaks for itself. He’s not interested in customer service or learning the facts of this transaction; he’s only focused on making a sale.
Bottom Line: unauthorized add-ons, incomplete/missing documents, conflicting loans, delayed refund. Proceed with caution. Consider other reputable dealerships. I encourage others to check out similar complaints on the Better Business Bureau website (BBB).
Unhelpful service team
My husband and I bought a used 16’ Airstream Caravel from Blue Compass in Albany, NY. We noticed a large dent in it when we picked it up but thought maybe we just hadn’t noticed it before. We took a photo in the parking lot before we drove away. We tried to ignore it for several months but it kept eating at us. Finally, we reviewed the video that our salesman had sent us a week before we picked it up. No dent. When I called to inquire about what could be done, I got the runaround. No return phone calls, no communication. Finally, after 4 tries, I got in touch with our sales rep, Melissa. Honestly, she was much nicer the day we bought it! Of course, on that day everyone was trying to sell us warranties and roadside service. Conversely, she was very short and uncooperative with me when I had an issue. Told me that they could do nothing for us. They would fix it, at our expense, even though we have documentation that it wasn’t there when it was shown to us. Very unhelpful. Obviously, she is a representative for the service team, not the customer. I will find somewhere else to do business.
I know this is a long review but I want…
I know this is a long review but I want to save you some time and money. Don’t take your RV for maintenance or repair work to Blue Compass on Friendship Rd, Buford. The only good thing I can say about the service department is that they are friendly. Unfortunately they are also incompetent. We bought a Dynamax DX3 in Oct 2024. Not from Blue Compass, from a dealer in Texas. In September of 2025 we talked to the service department about getting warranty work done in Oct before the warranty was up. We gave them a list of 7 things that needed fixing and told them we would be out of the country for 2 weeks in Oct and we would bring the RV in to get the work done then. We talked to them several times before dropping off the RV and then went over the list again. Also, a trucker had backed into us in a gas station and dented one of the back side panels ( not warranty work) and we wanted that fixed. So, 2 weeks later we go to pick up the RV and none of the warranty work is done but the back panel is fixed. It took Dynamax 5 months to approve the warranty work! 5 months!! So after the warranty work is all approved and Blue Compass gets the parts we take the RV back in to get it all replaced. They said 3 or 4 hours to get the work done. We had added 2 new problems that came up (after the warranty had expired of course), a leak in one of the slideouts and a leak in the plumbing under the sink. It took 2 days (not 3 or 4 hours) and when we go to pick up the RV (after several conversations with the service department over the past couple of months I had realized that they were pretty incompetent) I started to go over the list of things that were supposed to be fixed and find out 1 of the items was denied by Dynamax and they did not bother to tell us that. (My husband took care of that problem by talking directly to the manufacture of the tire monitor). And another item to be fixed (broken ice maker) was not even addressed. They told us that they would get an ice maker in the next couple of days and contact us. It’s been over a month and we have not heard from them. As for the 2 items we asked them to fix not under warranty, $500 later, the slide still leaked and they left a purple circle on the floor in front of the sink that will not clean up.
Great customer service at the Lexington…
Great customer service at the Lexington location. Would highly recommend. Leaving for a trip and found our air conditioner was not blowing cold air. Called this location, got me in same day and new air conditioning installed. Left next day for trip! Highly recommended!
Run away from this company now!
We were dealing on a unit that they were having “paperwork issues” on. We were told different stories by different people. We were pressured to put a deposit on it and wait.
We walked away, we were then contacted by Brynn in sales about 3 weeks later to tell us that they had it worked out their problems and had dropped the price. We negotiated again and came to an agreed price.
We filled out their credit app and said we would put a deposit on it by credit card. This was a Saturday afternoon. We hadn’t heard anything by Monday afternoon so texted to ask status, heard nothing. Contacted again next day, got a one line text, “unfortunately unit sold on my day off”
Very very unprofessional company to deal with!
STAY AWAY! Especially the dealership in Winston Salem!
Fantastic Service at Gassville, AR center
OMG!!!! The service at Blue Compass in Gassville AR is amazing. I travel all around the country and I have to say when you are on the road and something goes wrong with your rig, it is often traumatizing; where to go, how to find a place that is reliable, getting service quickly so as not to ruin your whole trip!
Tom Hart service advisor was fantastic from the first minute I talked to him. I told him I was traveling across country and developed a leak in my brand new rig, and more horrible rains were on there way. Tom made it possible to get in there right away. He was like, yeah we need to hurry up and get you fixed and by golly they got it done.
Brandon the service tech was equally impressive. I had 3 issues that need looking at, and he went over every one of them with me, walked me through what he found, how he fixed each issue. Super sweet guy who even talked me through some misconceptions I had about how my new rig worked. He was amazing and I am sooooo much wiser now as to the workings of my new rig.
They lie with their eyes wide open they…
They lie with their eyes wide open they lied about the trailer. They lied about the finance. They lied about paying yours off and cut me too much to give them to pay my camper off. I made two payments on two campers and one I didn’t even have Kelly’s the financial officer I don’t know what store she works in somewhere in Texas. Do not listen to her. She’s a liar. We’re not return. Your calls threatened to go to the attorney general before I can get anything done. they’re a bunch of fraudsters do not buy nothing from blue compass.
Thieves and Scam Artists
Our law firm attempted to purchase an RV. Nathan Ogletree (478-714-0533), Roland Boughton (678-327-2296) and Josh Alexander (770-945-2435) all lied to us and stole $150k from our company. We agreed to purchase what we were told was a brand-new RV and only after they demanded that we go ahead and wire $150k to them were we called back and told of several issues with the RV that needed repair. We told them we no longer want the RV, since it's in disrepair, and they continue to hold our money of $150k that they stole from us. They also tried to sell us a warranty for $8k and refused to send the coverage details after we requested this numerous times. When they finally sent us the warranty coverage details, it covered absolutely nothing, which Nathan Ogletree did not deny. They were just trying to scam us out of an additional $8k.
Not trustworthy
We purchased a used 30 foot 2018 Rockwood travel trailer from the Blue Compass Lubbock dealer. We were told that they would inspect the unit thoroughly. And, that there were certain things they were "required" to inspect. On day two we started having trouble with the propane furnace. There was a gentleman who happened to be in our RV park working on another another unit that said he would take a look at it. He turned out to be a certified, licensed inspector/repairman.
The furnace had obviously not been tested properly.
The propane regulator was faulty and the unit was blowing soot out of the exhaust vent. Also the propane lines were full of oil and debris. I'm no expert but this looked and sounded like a safety issue to me. I was also told they would drain the fresh water tank for me. As it turns out the tank remained full and the drain handle was broken. "AS IS" does not mean you can take advantage of people.
After going around and around with the Mgr. he said "bring it back in" and we will "take a look at it".
I informed him It was delivered to the RV park, and I'm 70 years old and he should send someone to fix it or come pick it up. He declined !
It cost us over $900 to bring the unit up to regulatory/safety standards. I just don't understand how they can make promises to good hard working people and not honor them.
