Their travel service is okay when i used it earlier this year, they are very responsive

It is my first exoerience with Riksja Travel. Now we work on my trip. I can say more when we will finish.

Everything was organised to the top quality, flights, transfers and accommodation. As this was our first trip to Brazil, the arrangements and the reliability of the travel agents was exceptional. This made for a stress free holiday and a once in a lifetime experience. I would recommend the services of the company and in particular Rik for any one looking for a holiday with a difference.

De gehele Egypte-reis heb ik me 100% veilig en beschermd gevoeld bij onze topgids Mostafa Mahdy. Hij is groot, sterk en van alles op de hoogte. Naast het feit dat hij alle plekken en betrokkenen persoonlijk kent, is hij inhoudelijk zeer bekwaam. Overal waar we kwamen gaf hij diepgaand uitleg op een toegankelijke manier. Zijn Engels is goed en makkelijk te verstaan. Als Egyptoloog die de ontwikkeling van het Grand Egyptian Museum van dichtbij gevolgd heeft en als betrokkene bij de werken rond de schepen van Kufu, geeft hij er uitstekende rondleidingen, enthousiast en zeer deskundig.
Mocht ik nog eens met jullie naar Egypte gaan, zou ik het enorm waarderen als er opnieuw voor Mustafa gekozen wordt als gids. De zorg waarmee hij ieder groepslid van de nodige aandacht en zorg voorziet is hartverwarmend. Hij zorgt dat iedereen zich veilig en geborgen voelt en waakt persoonlijk over ieders welbevinden. Ook heeft hij een open houding en leert hij ook graag bij over onze cultuur.
Ik raad iedereen die Egypte wil bezoeken aan om gebruik te maken van Mostafa Mahdy's diensten.

Throughout the entire trip to Egypt, I felt 100% safe and protected with our outstanding guide, Mostafa Mahdy. He is tall, strong, and extremely knowledgeable. In addition to personally knowing all the sites and the people involved, he is highly competent in terms of content. Everywhere we went, he provided in-depth explanations in an accessible way. His English is good and easy to understand.

As an Egyptologist who closely followed the development of the Grand Egyptian Museum and who was involved in the works surrounding the ships of Khufu, he gives exceptional tours there—enthusiastic and highly knowledgeable.

If I were to travel to Egypt with you again, I would greatly appreciate it if Mostafa were chosen again as our guide. The care with which he gives each member of the group personal attention and support is truly heartwarming. He ensures that everyone feels safe and secure and personally looks after each person’s wellbeing. He is also open-minded and genuinely interested in learning more about our culture.

I highly recommend anyone wishing to visit Egypt to make use of Mostafa Mahdy’s services.

Honestly the best guide we’ve ever had! If you want to have an amazing time in Egypte, it’s a must to choose Mostafa as your guide. He’s a fun and social guide with a lot of humor (to the point you’re left with tears of laughter) and he knows a lot of about Egypt. He knows a lot of history facts, all the great places, fun activities and amazing locals :)))

They have interesting concepts for a journey in Norway, which is why we initially got excited.

We took the time to carefully fill out their form, which contained several ambiguous questions. We answered thoughtfully and clearly stated that our schedule and preferences were very flexible.

Unfortunately, it became clear that our form was not read at all. The response we received ignored the information we had provided entirely.

Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend spending time on this travel agency.

A very effective approach to a reliable booking and confirmation.

The trip of 11 days was organized by the company. Looking at the plan, I asked to reduce the number of "sea days" and have more days with activities planned. I was offered an alternative, discussed it a bit with the representative of Riksja, who assured me that it was ok / as good as what I thought could be done instead. I followed their suggestion. At the beginning of the trip, we asked the guide for recommendations for what to do during the "non-sea" days. The guide said she does not know the place, which was already a red flag. We ended up staying for 4 days at a very nice hotel, but at a location where there was nothing to do. We had a half day trip where a few hours at the back of a pickup truck when we managed to watch two elephants from a distance of 800 meters. Another 3/4 day was better - went to a cave with a temple inside (Phraya Nakhon Cave). The hotel (which was indeed nice) was located at a beach, which was nothing different from a beach one finds in Europe. There were other hotels along the beach and hardly any other tourists, as there was nothing to do there. We therefore travelled to a nearby city - Hua Hin. This turned out to be a place where there is nothing to do as well. Delapidated mall with American men escorted by Thai women. We tried to get out of there early on the last of the 4 days, so we have some time in Bangkok on the last day - 8 in the morning instead of 11. Emailed Riksja Travel 2 days before the transfer and got an answer 2 days after we were already back home, saying that they just got the email. We managed to arrange the early transfer with the local agent that was very efficient and friendly. Overall, IF you use their services, make sure to be completely on top of things, since their advice and responsiveness are not the best.

Smooth communication, rapid responses, flexibility

Our trip is very well organized. Guides and drivers are allways on time and very helpfull. Our 5 day trekking to Poon Hill was really wonderful

We recently had an incredible experience on our trip to Egypt, and I can't recommend it enough! Our tour guide, Mostafa Mahdy, was outstanding. He provided us with insightful information about Egypt's rich history and made sure that we fully enjoyed our time without any issues. Mostafa also took the extra step to protect us from potential scams by other sellers, which gave us peace of mind during our travels. Overall, it was a fantastic adventure, and I’m grateful for Mostafa's knowledge and support throughout the trip! Highly recommend!

The communication from the very start to the end ( with the exception of Karim & Max who stepped in last minute) is very poor - attitude of personnel and lack of clarity and information on time was very very unprofessional - Not a company to recommend if you want to have a well planned and carefree vacation planning!!

Again, the great cooperation and hopefully fantastic trip.

We were mistakenly dropped off at the wrong terminal by the local agent, causing us to miss our flight. Although Riksja arranged the rebooking of our flight, they refused to cover the additional costs we incurred for the taxi back to town, as well as the hotel and meal expenses. They insisted it was our fault. Additionally, our hotels in Zanzibar were incorrectly booked, and we were given a 2-star hotel instead of the promised 3-star. Riksja claimed that the reviews were comparable, arguing that the star rating was irrelevant. Overall, we experienced poor service, subpar hotel choices, and disappointing customer support.

Our family trip to Java and Bali was very well organised by Riksja travel. The variety of excursions was great and enough time in between to do our own things as well. Accommodations and transfers were all arranged and the local agent Happy trails was also during our trip in contact with us by app for assistance if needed.

Ravi was the best!

Ravi was our driver for 15 days and he was amazing! He was really funny, competent and his English was really great! What was special about Ravi was that he speaks and understands some basic Dutch! We always felt 100% safe with him and we would definitely contact him again if we were to come back to Sri Lanka.
Ravi had a great local knowledge; he also kindly recommended and organized some amazing local food and cultural experiences. Ravi was gentle unassuming and was taking his time showing the wonderful back lanes and everything that the magical Sri Lanka has to offer. We would highly recommend Ravi! He has been a wonderful travel companion and he really made our days in Sri Lanka!

Made a tour through Japan in July 2024. Booked through Riksja Travel. Very satisfied with the information and service. All domestic travel and accommodation arranged down to the last detail and very well. Riksja works together with agents on site, which makes it possible to deliver high quality. Our first experience with Riksja, but certainly worth repeating.
