The actual service was fine. What was frustrating was the constant update on when he arrived. Started by telling us he would be here around noon. Then moved to 1:30, then 2:30, then 3:30, and finally... See more

Unfortunately, problem not resolved, and a terrible experience

Although Eddie B. was a nice young man, Sears Home Repair completely failed us. We started with a visit to our home June 17, 2026. Eight visits later -- each time a different story --- the problem is still not fixed. Further, we had our appointments abruptly cancelled and rescheduled more than a dozen times by Sears, each time having to lose time from our employment. After paying the diagnostic fee twice and having to pay for labor costs, we continue with the problem. Truly a terrible experience. We hope that Sears is able to make it up to us.

There is no possible way Sears Home…

There is no possible way Sears Home Services rates a four out of five stars. They fail to meet their scheduled repair dates often advising they will not arrive after the requester waits more than half the day. This is multiple rescheduling. The problem starts with Cinch’s inability to keep tract of repair requests, ignoring complaints, failing to ensure the service provider actually provides a Service.

Other than being terrible, they're great!

One star is being generous. 1) Communication is only with an AI bot - can't get hold of a human. Their website portal doesn't even provide any contact email or phone number for customer support as this is a concept they do not believe in. 2) They regularly cancel scheduled appointments on the day of the appointment...completely unconcerned about wasting your time.

My most recent 2 experiences with Sears: 1) My garbage disposal stopped working. I called to make an appointment and was told to call back in 2 weeks as they had no open appointment slots and couldn't make an appointment more than 2 weeks out. I paid out of pocket for my plumber to install a new one. 2) My microwave stopped working. It's now been over 3 weeks with 6 scheduled appointments (5 cancelled) and waiting again today for a technician. Just received a text saying they will be here between 7pm-8pm after saying they would be here at 3pm. The amount of time wasted waiting and rescheduling appointments is ridiculous. I will be looking for a new appliance warranty program, but will tell everyone I meet to stay far away from Sears Home Protect.

Sears use to be great

Sears use to be great. This is concerning my Samsung front loader. My service call was in late July 2026,my service call after at least 4 canceled rescheduled on the day of or the evening after waiting all day. At least 8 different tech visits, either said parts were wrongly ordered or a rescheduled had to be set up due customer being closed, for the tech to order parts. When you call customer service for help, you get SAMANTHA- AI There's no valid corporate email address, your email is returned not found
This is not even the half of it. This service has been shameful.

The technician just threw up his hand and left.

The technician showed up we explained what the problems were. He pulled the dryer away from the wall there was some mouse dropping behind it, he basically threw up his hands and said I'm done. He did not remove one screw he did not look at anything on the dryer just basically left.

My Service Technician James was great…but SEARS rips people off.

My Service Technician James was great but I do not appreciate Sears policy with moving forward with work. I initially requested services through my home warranty and they denied repairing my claim because it was still under warranty. I wanted to move forward with self pay and I had to start all over with a new request delaying the repair time unnecessarily and I had to pay a new fee for diagnostic when the problem was already diagnosed from the initial visit. I was told that new $139 diagnostic fee would be charged to the repair and it was not. If this not resolved I will be reporting Sears to the Better Business Bureau for false advertisement and charging additional fees outside of the quote given. I tried to get in touch with someone one the phone and I consistently get an AI customer service. No real person.
