Every piece of surplus gear that comes through our door is inspected using our 4-point inspection system. We check assault packs, rucksacks, backpacks, MOLLE pouches, FILBE components, field gear, sleep systems, tarps, and other military surplus equipment for wear, holes, tears, staining, damaged hardware, broken buckles, and zipper issues. As each item is inspected, it is sorted and graded by condition so customers know what they are buying before it ships. We do not believe in vague surplus listings or surprise condition problems at the door. Our goal is simple: describe the gear accurately, pack it right, and ship the item you paid for. Before an order leaves our shop, we inspect it again during packing. Smith's is my go to for hard to find surplus gear. More importantly, it's never a question of what condition it will be in when you get it. I'm picky as befitting an EOD Tech and these guys have never let me down.

Item as described
Quick and easy purchase. Item was as described. The item shipped quickly from seller. My only hiccup was while tracking the package it arrived at my local UPS location and sat for 3 days to be transferred to USPS for final delivery on the 4th day after arriving locally. Like anything I order online waiting is tough.

Awesome experience
Awesome experience. I found Smith's site online last year, logged on and put some great looking US Mil items into my cart around thanksgiving, just could not spare the extra to complete the purchase then. Glad I remembered them and went back online to add to my cart and complete the order. Very pleased with the items, their costs, the quality, and will definitely order from Smiths in future. We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with your order.
We do want to clarify one important point: these duffle bags were not listed or sold as new. They are listed as previously issued military surplus in good condition. The product description notes that they may show signs of use, including permanent marker, scuffs, stains, tape residue, repairs, and even painted markings.
After receiving your email, we responded the same day and asked for photos of the duffle bag you described as “falling apart” so we could review the issue and determine the appropriate resolution. When we did not hear back, we followed up again a few days later, but unfortunately never received a response.
While cosmetic wear is expected with previously issued military surplus, every bag we ship should still be functional and serviceable. If that was not the case here, we wanted the opportunity to review it and make it right.
Our offer still stands. Please send us a few photos of the bag, and we’ll gladly review the issue.
