The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Our 5 month old €500 vacumn cleaner stopped working so eventually it was collected by the service team, that was six weeks ago and we have been unable to get an update since, we have no idea where it is or what is happening. The customer service team are completely inadequately trained and incapable of communicating any service update, or any information that makes any sense, the whole process has been beyond frustrating and I would never buy a Miele product again.
I bought a robot vacuum that has had very little use over the previous 2 and a half years. The robot stopped charging and after engaging with the "customer service" team I am truly sorry I bothered to waste my time. No flexibility was shown over the cost of the repair or the terms of the warranty. Do not be fooled into buying Miele, you will be promised a premium service but will be offered third rate support. Avoid this company at all costs
On 20 August 2026 I tried to buy three items from the Irish Miele website. I put them in the basket and attempted to check out. I was required to register an account. I inputted my email address and a password.
Then I had to include a phone number and address. InPut in the number and the site would not accept my Irish post code or address.
Patiently, I called the local customer services number and was put through to a call centre. The polite woman I spoke to appeared to have difficulty understanding my accent. She told me she is in The Philippines. We persevered and I explained the position. She apparently inputted my postcode address and telephone number into their system but had to pass me to a colleague about the purchase. I’d identified the selected products with her. Her colleague requested the same information. I gave it to him. He gave me a price which was higher than the one he specified. I explained that Miele would be obliged to sell these products at the price on the Irish website.
He put me on hold, and some time later agreed with me having discussed this with a colleague.
He explained about the delivery and that one item had to be ordered and would arrive later than the other 2. He said he was emailing me a purchase order and would separately send me a link whereby I could pay.
The order arrived. But no link.
The above took about an hour.
I waited a couple of hours but no link arrived.
Gamely, I forwarded the purchase order to the email customer services number address last night and requested a payment link.
So far silence.
I checked my account with Miele today 21 August 2026 , hoping that I could complete the sale via the Irish website. No details have been added including the post code, in spite of my 2 conversations.
How can a company which makes such great products be so completely incompetent in its online sales process?
A complete and utter disaster dealing with their call line which is located in the Philippines and they refuse to give you the number for their Liffey Valley shop in ireland. I certainly will not buy a Miele brand again.
I had your engineer carry out repairs on our Miele Dish Washer last month .
Your Engineer carried out these repairs in a
most professional manner and is a credit to your company . An absolute gentleman .

Miele are a disgrace of a company. I spent a fortune on a hoover with extra hoover bags. The suction is appalling as in I'd be better off scooping dust with a spoon. It's brand new and I even changed the hoover bag thinking maybe that was faulty. DID Electrical Finglas were of absolutely zero help and refused a refund or credit note so now I'm left with a hoover fit for the bin. I emailed Miele 5 times and eventually was informed it's not their problem and to take it up with DID Electrical. DID told me the hoover was suitable "NOT FOR CARPET" but for wooden floors which is rubbish and I was not told this at time of purchase. AVOID MIELE AT ALL COSTS.

My Miele washing machine was purchased in 2020. It has broken down with very loud banging noise when spinning. I contacted my own engineer as I know that the machine is out of warranty. Upon his inspection it transpires that the problem is a bearing problem - not fixable by my engineer. I contacted Miele as this really is unacceptable in a Miele machine of this age. They gave me a complaints reference number and their response was quite quick... that's where their obliging, helpful service ended. I was told their engineer could call this week, either he would fix or right it off, depending on his findings. All of this, I hasten to add at my expense - apart from the 'goodwill gesture' of giving me a 40% discount on the purchase of my new Miele machine from them! I asked the lady on the phone if I could please speak to someone higher up than her and apparently she is as 'high as you can go' ... so no joy there. I can perfectly accept that the machine is out of warranty, but to profess to make machines that outlast their competitors by a mile and then to have it inoperable after 6 years, is frankly a joke. I have in the past owned Miele machines - washer, hoover & dishwasher, all which did last over 20 years. We spoke to the shop we purchased the washing machine from and they told us that Miele are a nightmare to deal with and have a don’t give a dam about customers they have had so many complaints themselves from customers I don’t expect to get a reply from them on this site I will never buy Miele again bit I don’t think they care that much

My experience with ordering directly from the Miele website has been nothing short of appalling.
I placed an order for a spare part on 9 July 2026. By 20 July, it still hadn't arrived, so I contacted Miele customer service. I was told to contact DPD myself to investigate the missing parcel. I explained that my contract is with Miele, not DPD, and that it was Miele's responsibility to resolve the issue. DPD confirmed they did not have the parcel.
Miele then reordered the part, with a dispatch date of 22 July. After hearing nothing, I contacted them again on 29 July, only to be told that the part was now out of stock and would not be available until 5 August.
At this stage, I requested a full refund. I was then informed that the refund would only be processed after I received the item and returned it. This made absolutely no sense, as I had never received either of the two replacement orders. How can I return an item that I have never received?
After challenging this numerous times on the phone, I was told that the refund was being processed but only applied to my bank after the item is sent back, the whole experience was frustrating, confusing, and completely unacceptable.
I deliberately chose to buy directly from Miele because I trusted the brand. I could have ordered the same part from Amazon, but I believed ordering from the manufacturer would provide better service. Instead, I experienced poor communication, delays, contradictory information, and a complete lack of ownership of the problem.
This has been one of the worst online purchasing experiences I have had. I will never order directly from Miele again and would strongly recommend that others think twice before doing so.
5/8/26: Received a phone call from Miele about the bad service I received. They are refunding me and apologised. I appreciated the phone call from Miele , and it does help that they have followed up with me directly

We travelled from Cork to meet with Ian in the Miele Liffey Valley store to gain understanding of appliances for a new kitchen refurbishment. Ian gave us his time and his expert advice to enable us to be very clear about our appliance needs for the kitchen project. It was a really worthwhile trip from Cork.

Bought an overpriced vacuum cleaner thinking that because of the price tag, the quality and customer service (if needed) was going to be good. A nozzle broke after fourth use due to a very poor design with only 1 tie in point in an angled nozzle bend, and within 1 year from purchase, and despite the vacuum being correctly registered on the website, Miele customer service refused to replace the part for free because apparently it's in their T&Cs that only motorised parts are covered under warranty (like WHAT), which is against EU law where you always have the right to a minimum 2-year guarantee from the moment you received the goods, for all parts!
UPDATE: Let me clarify that I was in contact with Miele CS through several emails and phone calls were they refused to replace the part for free, even being so high and mighty that they offered me a discount on the part!! Now only after making a public review they "escalate this to management" and decide to comply with the law and offer me the part for free... I will not take it, I will not use their products anymore and want to warn everyone not to buy them either as they are overpriced, poor quality and their Customer Service will not help you if you ever need it.

Purchased an expensive induction hub from Miele, and while still under warranty, the glass at the edge of the hub chipped in 2 places.
As it was under warranty, I contacted Miele and was told that glass damage is not covered under warranty.
This was really disappointing especially as nothing heavy was dropped on the hop, it chipped in 2 separate places during day to day use. So now I expect more chips to happen.
For such an expensive piece of equipment, from such a reputable brand I expected better design, build and post sale experience. I would not recommend this product or Miele.

It took awhile for the appointment to be sorted out however the technician came with all the parts that were required and could solve the problem very quickly.

I still haven't received my purchase after waiting more than two months. You do not respond to my emails nor the contact form I completed. You don't follow anything through. I am without a washing machine until you sort this out. It's ridiculous.

I mistakenly ordered the wrong sized bags for my vacuum cleaner in mid January. When they arrived in mid January I realized my mistake. Many emails later and garbled phone messages later I think I may have a resolution. It's now the 5th of May! I still do not have a refund but I'm assured it's on the way. Appalling service. Unbelievable, given the high reputation and prices this company is known for.
Update 13th May. Yes I was contacted on the 5th, but still waiting for my refund. No doubt it's the bank's fault that I'm now waiting three months for my refund. It's a joke but I'm not laughing.
