Company is responsive to contributor support, their platform is smooth in operation and interview process is clear.

Nearly all of the project managers and support staff that work directly with Mercor (referring to the humans, though the AI bots are fine) have been great, better than most humans. They are understanding about human circumstances and about how the nature of their projects can sometimes conflict with more predictable,routine work. The pay is good, gets distributed like clockwork weekly, and is almost always hourly as opposed to other AI projects that pay only for approved tasks.
My only major criticism is that a large number of the projects are unreliable. There will be a major initial push like, "GO GO GO clear your schedules for 40 hours a week!" That is common in tech, but as a contractor, when they realize that the platforms or algorithm , or...whatever is not performing as anticipated, suddenly you will have days and weeks with nothing. So you've cleared your schedule anticipating work/income that doesnt come. Sometimes the projects resume, sometimes they don't. And, as is the nature of these types of projects, it is nearly impossible to accurately predict if, and when, the projects will resume. The clients will tell the Mercor project managers that everything will be functioning asap, but they do not actually know what the bugs are, and as they dig they find more and more layers that need to be fixed for us to be able to effectively create or test.
Even still, I think they are the best of the AI companies. You just have to hold it really loosely. As in, I would not count on it as a main source of income. But as a supplement, they are great.

I found the training useful in two ways. First it showed me that AI is already amazing. Second it inspired me to upgrade to a paid subscription to ChatGPT plus. I use it to cut my time and expenses in half for my retirement book selling. Mercor training paid me as an Energy/Utility Expert, but the project was cancelled. I received the $300 for training but was not able to work in the project. I am taking more assessments to keep learning more about AI training and to keep my 75-year old brain active.

I received an instant job offer from Mercor about two month ago as a Generalist Expert.  I accepted the offer because the offer met my requirements of being remote, having flexible hours, and offering good hourly rate.  

I work from my home in Los Angeles, any time of the day that I'm available. I can also work from anywhere in the US and in addition from majority of the countries in the world.

Since I joined Mercor, I received two more contracts. I have also applied recently for another contract. Melvin is their AI assistant and is very smart and helpful. I communicate with the rest of Mercor community on Slack. The community is very cooperative and answers questions for the newcomers. The payments are very prompt and accurate. I highly recommend Mercor, specially if you like to contribute to development of AI while making additional income.

The review and sources provided were well thought out and succinct. The questions provided an environment to cover a 'wide variety' of the industry's jobs/careers and past experiences. It was easy to explain a diverse amount of past employment experiences and to write freely. There was an ability to easily upoad screen shots from a variety of apps. It didn't take forever to complete either. I heartily recommend this format.

The application process is not so complicated and when I got my first offer from this platform I was so happy cause I had been applying for months before getting the offer, I have had great experience working with the team on the project I was on and they were lovely and to be honest i wished I was still working with the team cause I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the payment process too cause it was so seamless for someone here in this part of Africa. I thank the Mercor team for giving me the opportunity to work with them and I still look forward to getting more offers in the future. I am writing to express my growing frustration and disappointment regarding the status of my Mercor account. My account was flagged, and despite sending multiple emails requesting clarification, I have yet to receive any meaningful response or guidance. The lack of communication and transparency has left me completely in the dark, and I feel that I have been given no opportunity to understand or resolve whatever issue has arisen.

I have worked with Mercor successfully for the past several months and have always tried to comply with your policies and requirements. Because of that history, it is especially discouraging to suddenly find my account restricted without any explanation or path toward resolution.

From what I can gather, it appears that my account may have been flagged because of my location. However, I believe this is an unfair conclusion without considering the full context. I travel frequently for both personal and professional reasons, and my physical location changes regularly. My travel history should not automatically be interpreted as suspicious activity.

Furthermore, my financial and personal information demonstrates consistency. My bank accounts, financial assets, and phone numbers are not tied to any country that may be restricted by your platform. These details should provide additional context and help verify that I am a legitimate user who has simply traveled across different regions.

If there is another reason my account has been flagged, I would greatly appreciate knowing what it is. At the moment, I have no information about what policy I may have violated, what triggered the restriction, or what steps I need to take to resolve the issue. Without this information, I cannot correct any misunderstanding or provide any additional verification that may be required.

What concerns me the most is not only the restriction itself, but the complete absence of communication. As someone who has dedicated time to working through your platform and has built a history with Mercor, I expected a higher level of transparency and support. Being left without updates for an extended period is frustrating and makes it difficult to trust the process.

I respectfully ask that you:

Explain the specific reason my account was flagged.
Confirm whether the issue is related to my location or something else.
Inform me of any documentation or verification you require from me.
Provide a realistic timeline for when my case will be reviewed.
Restore my account if, after review, there has been no actual violation of your policies.
I am more than willing to cooperate fully and provide any additional information necessary to verify my identity or account activity. All I ask is for a fair review and clear communication regarding my situation.

I have enjoyed working with Mercor and would like to continue doing so, but it is difficult when I receive no responses and have no visibility into what is happening with my account.

I sincerely hope someone from your team can review my case promptly and provide a substantive response. I would appreciate hearing back as soon as possible.

I would never give a star if possible they are very biased and they and they don't hire indians at all this is nothing but a scam to train their AIm the rejection rate is 100%. If you are a indian and applying for jobs on this platform you should forget about it

Had a great experience with Mercor. I was recruited for an AI training project and everything went as expected, no surprises, nor hiccups.

The team managers do a great job communicating what's happening and keeping things in check. Glad our collaboration is continuing.

I have been working in very interesting projects at Mercor and will come back for new ones a soon as I have availabilities. Sometimes a bit rushy and chaotic as everythings is moving one quite fast, but in general a great professional experience.

AI intelligence is freelance 1099 work and has a unique daily schedule. I enjoy the flexibility and learning more about AI. There are many different projects available and they are loaded into a system at various times of the day and night by clients and I select a project to complete. The training is excellent and requires patience because the tech community culture is fast paced and demands constant vigilance to project updates. I enjoy the work and learning new skills.

The ability to work on my own schedule made it possible to provide quality work to Mercor. I wasn’t required to work 40 hours on top of my normal 40 hour day job. There is great transparency from EPMs, but in order to succeed, you need to able to follow instructions. Weekly payouts are nice as well.

Great little side hustle that got me some extra income.
