Very disappointing experience

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this company.

I purchased lighting costing around £130, and when received it, it was of a very poor quality light weight plastic material !!!

I raised my concerns with the company formally and explained the situation clearly, hoping that they would take responsibility and provide a fair and appropriate resolution. Unfortunately, I did get any reply and my concerns were not genuinely addressed.

When a customer spends £130, I would expect good communication, proper support and, most importantly, accountability and credibility when selling products of that price tag.

Instead, the whole experience has been unnecessarily frustrating and disappointing.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. I would strongly advise potential customers to avoid it at all costs.

Our first light fitting arrived with a dent made during delivery but Lamp24 without any fuss sent another fitting straight away. It is a beautiful metal bright orange dome, the colour is exactly as advertised and looks amazing a real centre statement piece.

Do not order from this company.

The lamps I received were not as described. They were advertised with E14 bulb fittings but arrived with a completely different fitting, making them unsuitable for their intended use.

There were immediate red flags. The lamps arrived with no installation instructions or safety information, and the customer service experience was unlike anything I have encountered with a reputable UK retailer.

Instead of resolving the issue, Lamp24 spent weeks trying to negotiate with discounts, store credit and replacement parts rather than accepting responsibility. I eventually had to raise a PayPal dispute just to obtain the full refund I was entitled to.

Even after PayPal refunded me, Lamp24 demanded that I either pay them £30 to keep the lamps or destroy them and send photographic evidence. I have never experienced anything so unreasonable.

China based company- not a UK retailer.

After reading other Trustpilot reviews, it became clear that my experience was not unique. DO NOT USE THEM!

Sent a faulty broken €117 wall lamp. It also arrived without any safety certification or installation instructions (red flag). Not a UK company despite presenting itself that way (red flag). It's also worth reading their own returns policy before buying:

"""Products received with broken glass, or dented shades or frames are not considered as defective item and cannot be returned."""

(....SERIOUS RED FLAG!)

I had to open a PayPal dispute just to obtain a return address as i wanted a full refund. FYI the return address is China, and I was expected to pay a significant amount out of my own pocket to return the faulty piece of junk.

Don't waste your hard-earned money here, as I did. My advice is to shop elsewhere with a retailer that stands behind the quality of its electrical products. It's a matter of safety afterall.

The product I ordered had a significant delay for the delivery but the communication by customer service was exceptional and I was also offered a discount .

I was sent a fake lamp and then they would not refund. This company does false advertising and sends very poor quality products. Do not use them

The original lampshade arrived damaged, but the customer service was excellent. Leo arranged a replacement and kept me informed throughout the process. The replacement arrived safely and I’m very happy with the support. Thank you

You would find exact products in Aliexpress for 1/3 price and shipping taking time would be exactly the same as they are from China.
Quality is not worth the price they sell for, and too much hassle to wait and they would ask you to return to China if things happen

I ordered three times with that company and always perfect. The lamps are beautiful. Good quality and very fast delivery. When I struggled with a return the customer service (Lily) was very helpful and sorted everything. Very happy!! I definitely recommend.

Avoid this company, scam.

I ordered an Eloise light after seeing what appeared to be a premium-quality product on the website. What arrived was a completely different lamp.

The product I received bears little resemblance to the photographs or description used to advertise it. The advertised lamp features high-quality detailing and craftsmanship. The one delivered was a cheap imitation with poor finishing, visible manufacturing defects and significantly lower-quality materials. It genuinely looked like something from Temu or AliExpress rather than the premium product shown on the website.

The customer photos displayed on the product page also do not match what I received, leaving me with serious concerns about how these products are being marketed.

When I complained, I was repeatedly offered partial refunds instead of a proper resolution. After I opened a chargeback with American Express, the company demanded that I either:

* pay to return the lamp to their warehouse in China, then France
* pay them the equivalent of the return shipping cost while keeping it, or
* destroy the lamp by cutting the wires and send them photographic evidence.

I’ve never experienced anything like this with any legitimate retailer.

This website presents itself as a UK retailer, but my experience was nothing like buying from a genuine UK business. The product did not match its description, the after-sales process was exhausting, and resolving the issue took weeks of back-and-forth emails.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from this company to read the negative reviews carefully before placing an order.

Great pendant lamp and great service recieved from lamp.24. Delivered on time as promised.

I ordered an Eloise pendant light with ‘brass’ fittings. The description says the fittings had “leaf shaped carvings” and “finely crafted metal base”. This is not correct.

The fittings are made of pressed tin spray painted a bright orange/gold.

The shade is lovely but the fittings are unique to the shade and cannot be replaced, ruining the whole unit.

Finally, after days of being offered discounts, I was told I could return it…..to China!

The items look lovely online but that’s it.

If you like the shade chose black fittings or any colour other than the ‘brass’ fittings.

However I will say that their customer service was proactive and worked hard to rectify the issue.

Avoid avoid avoid.

The items i ordered is a Chinese imitation (and not even remotely the same however using the brands imagery online. I tried to get in contact to cancel, no answer and when its come they’re still not responding.

Ensure you read the returns policy, absolutely laughable. However I didn’t expect the item would be a terrible attempt at immitation.

No contact and over £200 down for a cheap (awful looking copy of something) terrible company.

I placed an order with Lamp24 for a lamp intended as a housewarming gift. Unfortunately, I never received the item.

Despite the delivery being marked as completed by the courier, I did not sign for or receive the parcel. The only evidence provided was a photograph showing the item left in a bin that is not associated with my property, which does not demonstrate delivery to me.

I contacted customer service to resolve the issue and requested a refund. Instead of investigating the issue directly with their chosen courier, I was repeatedly asked to obtain documentation from the delivery company myself, including proof of non-signature, which I was unable to provide as I am not the courier’s customer.

I was also offered a partial refund or a replacement, neither of which resolved the issue for me, as I simply did not receive the item.

The matter is still ongoing and unresolved at the time of writing, which has been frustrating and time-consuming. AVOID.

I purchased two lights from Lamp24 on 04.05.2026. There was no confirmation email for a few days. I checked out the reviews and became convinced I had been scammed. To my surprise, the lights turned up within 2 weeks! They have been hooked up and work perfectly, so I am really pleased. The site is relatively inexpensive for the overall product and quality. They honestly look great.

They actually emailed today to let me know that the items had been delivered — so I guess the downfall is communication, given that they arrived a month ago.

Given the price for the quality products, I would purchase from here again now I know they’re legit.

Dangerous! Chinese wiring standard doesn’t match UK, led bulbs that get red hot and bulbs can’t be swapped with UK compliant ones as different screw thread. Poor unclear instructions. They don’t accept any returns (at all) as no way to send back and do not respond at all to email (no phone number). Nearly £200 wasted.

The pendant lights arrived well packed. I needed to contact the company and my email was responded to quickly. The lights were a good price too.

AVOID. This is a total scam. Goods ordered, money taken straight away and no confirmation of order. Emailed them and no reply. Goods never received. Fortunately I got my money back via my bank. Avoid at all cost.

After a long delay, the wrong item was delivered. Hard to arrange a refund.
