No attempt at home delivery, but directly to the parcel shop!
Order from Jysk (formerly Dänisches Bettenlager in Austria) => Shipping by UPS:
I'm 24/7 (Corona-related) in home office, ground floor, direct view to the front door including post box. A house bell is also available. Suddenly I got an e-mail "Package was successfully delivered". Mhmm, strange, I would have been surprised if the package arrived because I did not notice that someone had rung the bell or was even at the front door. I created an UPS online account to get more insight and after a few minutes I saw what happened: UPS didn't even drive to my town or house, but brought the package straight to the UPS parcel station to a neighboring village so that I can "kindly" pick it up myself. That's called service! Not even trying to deliver, but - conveniently for the UPS postman - brought directly to the parcel shop.
When I called the UPS service hotline, I was told, "Yes, that's the way it is, just pick it up".
So attention if you want to order from Jysk, who apparently always ships with UPS or DPD ... You have to pay 5€ for shipping, just to pick up the package by car anyway at the UPS parcel station.
I will not order again via the Jysk webshop. Because with such catastrophic methods, I am not surprised that everyone orders from Amazon. Even online giants like Amazon rely on the local post service, which reliably delivers to the door! If you willingly agree to send you parcels with a very bad-rated delivery service like UPS, at least make free shipping!
