Think Twice Before You Deposit Your Money
I want to share my real experience with IC Markets because I do not want other traders to go through the same stress I did.
I was trading on MT5 account 8095208. At first, depositing money was very easy. I deposited, traded, and made more than $120 profit. But when I tried to withdraw my money, everything became very difficult.
I was told that my original deposit could only be withdrawn using the same crypto method I used to deposit. But my profit had to be withdrawn through a bank transfer. This was not what I expected when I started trading.
Then I was asked to complete Source of Funds and Source of Wealth forms and provide many documents. There were so many questions and documents that it became very hard for me to understand what they wanted.
I even went to my bank to get help with the bank information and forms. Even the bank staff were confused and asked what kind of form it was and how they were supposed to fill it. This made the whole process even more stressful.
The hardest part was that making the deposit was so easy, but trying to get my money out felt completely different. When I wanted to withdraw, many rules, forms, and document requirements came up.
Because of all this stress, I lost the profit I had made. My withdrawal was also still showing Processing after 3 days, which made me even more worried.
I am not saying this to attack anyone. I am sharing what happened to me so other traders can be careful.
If you are thinking about opening an IC Markets account, especially if you are planning to deposit money, please think carefully and read all of their deposit and withdrawal rules first. Make sure you fully understand how you will withdraw both your deposit and your profits before putting your money in.
My experience was very stressful, and I honestly wish I had understood all these rules before I deposited.

Very disappointing experience with IC Markets

I have been trying to resolve an ongoing withdrawal and account issue for some time, but despite repeated contact with Client Relations and Support, the matter remains unresolved.

I have received multiple assurances and explanations, but little meaningful progress. I am also unable to access my Client Portal and have not received the documentation and clear written explanations I have repeatedly requested.

I formally submitted a complaint but have still not received a satisfactory response.

I have cooperated fully throughout the process, but the lack of communication, delays and transparency have been extremely frustrating.

I hope IC Markets will take this matter seriously and provide a proper resolution.

Been using IC Markets for a while now, and it's been solid. Spreads are competitive, the platform's been stable, and I haven't run into any issues with deposits or withdrawals. Nothing dramatic to report, which is honestly what you want from a broker.

I have been trading with IC Markets now for a few years. I tried other platforms but it was clear early on IC Markets is the only platform to operate on.

Being regulated by ASIC gives a lot of trust, but the trading platform is also better, lower spreads and better execution. The support team are fantastic too.

I see all these bad reviews but I’ve been able to access the support for the AUS servers. The support helped me to fix a “not enough rights” issue on my account which was just me not trading the correct pairs (needed to be like EUDUSD.a). I will admit I haven’t tried to withdraw money yet hence the 4 stars. But so far, really good spreads.

The initial experience of trying to create a demo account and connect to it from pc with mt5 was rubbish - could not seem to create a new demo account and/or connect them. However Alan's support was superb, he ended up creating the account for me and ensured I could log in. Patient and helpful - excellent!

Platform is alright but they dont have costumer service at all, on web chat the team in not AU based, when you call they have call center oversease and they cant help. whenver i have to made withdrawl it painful as accounts team cant be contacted over the phone. and they only available on email which is strange. Call center only gives you general info but not help regarding account issues. i dont feel safe to use IC markets anymore.

The platform executes transactions very slowly, and withdrawing funds is difficult. Additionally, the exchange rate is unreasonably high, my $11 USD profit dropped to just $4 USD after transferring to my AUD account because I couldn’t withdraw directly.
