My experience with EDPnet has been very…

My experience with EDPnet has been very disappointing.

The main problem started with the activation of my internet service. EDPnet says that my line was activated in July, but I did not receive the activation notification at the time and I also did not receive the first invoice by email. Most importantly, I never actually used their internet service.

I contacted EDPnet several times by phone and email to explain the situation and asked them to clarify the billing. Unfortunately, I felt that I had to explain the same situation again and again to different staff members, while the main issue was never resolved to my satisfaction.

I tried to find a reasonable solution with them, but they continued to insist that the invoices had to be paid. Eventually, because I was unhappy with the way the matter was handled, I clearly requested in writing that my subscription/order be cancelled.

What is particularly frustrating is that even after my cancellation request, on 31 August I still received another invoice from EDPnet relating to a future billing period in October.

I understand that companies have procedures and automated billing systems, but customers should not have to repeatedly explain the same dispute, request cancellation, and then continue receiving invoices for future periods.

Based on my personal experience, the communication and handling of my complaint and cancellation have been very disappointing. I hope EDPnet will review the case properly, cancel the service as requested, correct the billing where appropriate, and provide clear written confirmation that the matter is finally closed.

This must be the worst 'thank you mail' a company has ever sent.
I was a satisfied customer before, but this mail makes me consider switching to another provider.

Hello, unfortunately many costs have increased for us as a company, making it indeed necessary to increase the pricing. We do not do this every year like many providers, and we try to avoid it but sometimes there is no other choice.

I was a longstanding customer (3 years)
After they got bought by Proximus they are no longer competitive in price and almost have the same price.
This gives the impression that there is no monopoly regarding telco providers in Belgium while in fact there is since we pay the highest prices in Europe. Meanwhile compared to DIGI the prices are not even close to competetive. For 10x faster internet you pay 3x less money. (DIGI asks 20 euro for 10Gbps) meanwhile EDPnet asks 60 euro for 1Gbps... what a joke
UPDATE: Apparently they are no longer owned by proximus but that doesn’t excuse the fact that you can get a much better deal elsewhere and that it was better in the past with EDPnet aswel and as a consumer the choice is obvious now

Hello, Proximus has not owned epdnet anymore for several years ( this was really short -termed), we are part of the Citymesh Group just like Digi. Digi already uses their own network, so they do not need to pay Proximus like we do ( for renting their lines).

Great Customer Service Experience that will HELP you!

I have been a customer for almost 4,5 years in Belgium. One day, I had an issue with my internet due to moving address. Regardless with all the situation I was facing, I would say they have a great customer service and will try their best to help you. If you have the network, I'd recommend go with Edp net!

Hello, the order was placed on 13/04, by our partner Astel, and proximus informed us they activated on 06-05. We then planned our technician for the Worry Free install, and they discovered that there was indeed a problem in the database from Proximus. Because of this instead of your intropoint they activated the one from the neighbours. This was then fixed on 21/05. It is a shame you give us 1 star for this when it was no fault of our own, and we did all we could to fix it asap for you. We do hope all is well now, if not please feel free to contact us immediately!

All would be good but the problem is…

All would be good but the problem is with their spam filter. Looks like it is good for nothing. Or it doesn't work or Edpnet doesn't fulfill their commitment to filter spam emails, or simply doesn't care. Who knows, but spams are coming to my mail box non stop all the time though I tightened my mail box spam limit block and forward these spams to their abuse service with complains. All to no avail. The same spammers appear again though are supposed to be blocked after complains. Being Edpnet customer for more than 20 years I am thinking now of changing the provider.

16/08/2026 This is update to my review above.

Regarding Edpnet reply. They know who I am as they send a request for my identification. They could contact me by themself but not. Their reply is just senseless routine reply. I already contacted the help desk about this problem in the past and was told that not much they can do about this. Spams are passing through their Barracuda filters and they suggested to tighten my personal filter in my mailbox what I did. But now even more spams and phishing are coming in and some days up to 20-30 a day. I have another couple of on line email accounts and all is clean and good. They filter bad emails very efficiently. I think Edpnet can learn how to filter better and try to improve their work. This problem with bad emails bombardment is terrible.

Lower price but quality doesn't match

Prices are lower than the competitors, but the service is very unreliable. I cannot do work calls at home because the signal just comes and goes. I've used this service for more than 2 years.

Poor customer service from a technical support team. My internet went down on a Saturday, the support is only provided on workdays during 9am and 5pm. Even when I finally managed to reach EdpNet support team, they struggled to identify the problem. After 4 days of trying to solve this, they concluded that it is "probably" an issue with the cabling in the building and suggested that I need to look for a solution myself. They did not respond to my repeated requests to send a technician to inspect their hardware.

our technical team is still waiting on your reply in the ticket, as they informed you : Proximus is not responsible for the device you show in the photo .We can send a technician under conditions if you request it. So far you have not agreed to them
