Geek Studio was unable to clear my computer problems in an efficient and timely manner.
1. Their "contract" was weak and unclear. It is a letter style page not distinctly showing what is covered and what is not. It does NOT provide cyber security, but provides very limited protection giving the impression of broader coverage.
2. When problems do arise the tech support is atrocious. They do not take hours to solve a problem but instead DAYS! Follow-up phone calls are rarely made by them even after giving a promised date for the call.
3. Despite my many calls to tech support, it appears there are only three technicians to take these calls. This creates tremendous wait time. Almost all difficult problems default to one person, "George".
4. The final answer I received was that I had purchased only a firewall plus "customer support" for five years. The price was $500. This would not protect me thoroughly enough. What George said I needed was a cyber security system for $1,150/year and I must purchase it immediately!! because all my information was exposed and at high risk.
5. Everything I was told was either BS or incomplete.
6. I attempted to close my contract and receive a refund. I may have been fooled about what I bought, but, for sure, I did not receive the customer support expected. I was told there would be no refund.
7. As a follow up, I contacted a local computer protection company who not only srtipped my computer of all Geek Studio software, provided me with complete protection at a lower price and offers me IMMEDIATE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I called them yesterday, they answered the phone, took control of my computer instantly, and deleted the malware all in less than five minutes!
8. I have sent a second request to Geek Studios for a refund but have had no response.
