I can see that you emailed us on Monday, 13 July. As this was a bank holiday in Northern Ireland, our offices were closed, and we had an information banner displayed on our website advising customers of this. Our Customer Service Team responded to your email the following morning when we reopened.
With regard to your delivery, I can see that your order was placed on 08/07/26 at 16:57, which was after our 12:00 noon cut-off time for same-day dispatch. As a result, your order was dispatched on 09/07/26.
As deliveries are made on working days only, your order was scheduled for delivery on 13/07/26. I can confirm that your order was delivered as scheduled on that date.

Issue dealt with promptly
After an issue with the wrong parts being delivered, I sent them back and got the right part sent out. These things happen, but it was put right as quickly as possible.

ONCE PAID, DON’T EXPECT ANYTHING FROM THEM
A very similar story to one of the other customer reviews. Bought a bbq last year, stored it correctly inside, using the official supplier cover and found it has developed significant signs of rusting all over!
The item is clearly unfit for purpose and of unsatisfactory quality!
I proceeded to contact Hamilton customer services who asked me to fill in a manufacturers warranty on their behalf. Ok, so I did this however made it clear with them that under the consumer rights act the responsibility/liability still lies with the retailer Hamilton. The manufacturer refused citing it’s caused by sea air?! Apparently a common deflection response. Nowhere does it state it cannot be used in certain locations relative to the sea..
I then revisited Hamilton customer services and Tamara bluntly refused and liability or option to:- inspect the manufacturers claim
Replace the model
Repair the model
Refund
The lack of empathy for a customers situation and Hamilton absolving all responsibility is frankly disgusting. They have not even considered the claim in detail just blankly refused it.
I must reiterate to anyone that reads this -the liability lies with the retailer as per consumer rights act.
I will be taking this further until I find a resolution!
FOLLOWING REPLY BELOW:-
Firstly tgere was no apology, empathy nor understanding. Under the consumer rights act 2005, the transaction and liability falls with the retailer not the manufacturer, irrespective of their perception of the photos. Thirdly, there is no disclaimer saying that customers living by the coast should not but this product due to potential rusting issues in such a short period of time. Hamilton have not even offered to rectify this in any way. I will be taking this further with citizens advice bureau and through the small claims court to obtain a full refund, as the product is clearly not fit for purpose.

This response explained that the manufacturers were responsible for assessing warranty claims and determining whether any defect fell within the terms of their guarantee. Following the manufacturer's review of the photographs you provided and taking into account the close proximity of your address to the sea, they concluded that the corrosion observed was consistent with environmental (salt air) exposure and therefore not covered under the warranty. Due to this, a refund, repair, or replacement could not be offered, unfortunately.
FOLLOWING EDITED RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER:- Please see the opening sentences of the reply you were sent where Tamara apologised for the dissatisfaction that you were experiencing with your BBQ
"Thank you for your letter regarding the Outback BBQ purchased in June 2025. I am sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with the condition of the BBQ and appreciate the time you have taken to set out your concerns."
As the manufacturer has deemed the issues reported as not covered under warranty, we are unable to repair, replace or refund the product.

BEWARE: Don't buy from this Company
Bought a gas barbacue for approx 550. After 1 Summer (3months) of use it was rusty in parts. I questioned this with the Company who found every excuse under thd sun not to replace or refund it. I would have been happy with a replacement. They blamed the Irish weather, living too close to the coast (Something I wasn't asked my location when taking my money) having it covered etc etc etc. They said there drops of water on it when I sent the photos, I explained as it was Sept I washed it down prior to putting it in storage for the Winter hence water drops on the barbacue and ground dry. Refused to accept my explanation.Bottom line ...we live in Ireland, it does rain! It is under a balcony when in use and I cover it when not in use (They said because it was new (how they can say that I dont know)and wasn't one of their covers they couldn't say that it worked efficiently as a cover!) I took all steps to ensure the barbacue was cared appropriately for but no respect from this Company. Just complete refusal to stand over their warranty, so not worth the paper its written on. Don't buy from them!!!! I will voice my disappointment and dissatisfaction at every opportunity.

We can see that you raised a complaint about your BBQ in September 2025 and sent us some photographs, which we forwarded to the manufacturer. The manufacturer pointed out that from the photographs provided, there was moisture/water drops on the BBQ but no sign of rain on the ground behind it. The manufacturer stated that the rust occurred due to exposure to the sea air, as your address location is a few Km away from the sea. You mentioned and provided photographs of the storage location of the BBQ. The photographs showed that there are 3 sides wide open to the elements and the roof covering is not adequate to provide shelter from the sea air, as it is a raised wooden decking area above the ground. The BBQ cover shown looked brand new, and as it was not a branded BBQ Cover that we sell, we could not comment on the durability of the material.
Ended up with a game of email tennis…

You had mentioned that it did not come with a nozzle attachment. Our advisor informed you that the website did not state that a nozzle was provided and the product photograph did not show a nozzle attached to the regulator. You requested that we send a nozzle free of charge and also cover the cost of the postage.

Ordered a gas valve solenoid... arrived the next day.. wasn't expecting such a rapid delivery..
Meant I got paid for the weekend....lol....

Had to do a repair on very old gas burner and was pleased to see they had everything I needed. The price was also reasonable, much cheaper than changing the whole burner. I am happy to have found this company online. I also had to call them and found their salesperson to be helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend and use again. I would also say it's better to buy direct from their own Website, avoid the Amazon option, as tempting as it might be.
