I subscribed on July 25, 2026, and I tried to cancel my subscription to this dating app by August 25. This proves impossible because it redirects you to a nonexistent link, and even if I email them to request a cancellation form, they won't send it. They charged me for the subscription renewal, and I can't cancel it or get my money back.
- Only after a certified email (PEC) with legal value sent to the C-DATE website on August 31, 2026, claiming the inability to cancel the subscription within the requested timeframe and requesting a reversal of the extorted charge, I received a response from the site on September 2, 2026, confirming the cancellation of the subscription, effective September 29, 2026, thus improperly withholding the sum of €79.99 for an unsolicited service imposed by the site. I urge anyone considering subscribing to this unfortunate C-DATE website to avoid a completely unnecessary expense, both due to the fraudulent subscription chargeback system and the fact that at least 80% of the female profiles presented are essentially non-existent.

Tried to cancel sub. Couldn't do that so stopped my payment through bank. They then tried to take multiple payments from my bank which then closed my account due to fraudulent activity. Then sent my details to two separate scam companies trying to extort monies from me. Sent emails and even went as far to find my address to send letters from a po box.
Read below reply from them. They are asking for my bank details now via email. Absolutely shocking stay well away

Cancellation is impossible and not transparent. Otherwise you will have to send email to the cdate support team, however they intentionally ignore your emails until the time runs out and tells you that you owe them something. Then they begin to threaten you with debt collectors messages. It's pure harassment. Stay away Stay away Stay away from these scams

Many people would have saved themselves a lot of money and headaches if they would have only read other reviews before committing to a membership. This also applies to other dating sites (apps).
What can I say, its only that individual's fault.
Anyway, there should be agencies, financial police or governmental departments that handle such cases where fraudulent (criminal) activities are constantly happening.
Many business owners or operators "register" these businesses offshore, which makes it difficult to hold anyone accountable.
Also read their terms and conditions to see if there are some legal holes. There is still too little control in this area.

This site is trouble.
The ONLY thing they are interested in is your subscription. Things to note: a) don’t communicate with them without keeping a copy, 2) Introductory T’s & C’s are different once you’ve enrolled, c) withdrawal process is masked and NOT straight forward, d) total lack of transparency, e) validity of subjects is highly questionable. Otherwise, it’s a great site.
Of course ‘customer services’ don’t keep records of your communications to them or help resolve issues, which is why I am here. Take a look at other reviews on this company and make up your own mind. 😀

The only reason I have gave 1 star is because there isn't an option for 0 stars. I have the same problem as the hundreds of other negative reviews on here. I have tried to cancel my subscription and the site has made it impossible for me to unsubscibe. Constant loop. AVOID AT ALL COSTS PEOPLE. VERY DODGY!!!

Cancelled my profile through the app (or so I thought) and then 2 months later, I get a threatening email from a German debt collection agency saying I owe them £81! Awful company and a complete scam. Imthere was no one real on the app therefore I cancelled legitimately. Now being conned and threatened into paying them money. Luckily my brother is a lawyer so will be legally taking this matter further.

LACK OF PARAMETERS ON DISTANCE/PHOTOS
Noel-The main problem with this web site is not very functional (if at all!) -ie There is no parameters of choice of clients max distance to correspond & possibly meet,ie live on South Coast-recipient lives in birmingham!), & therefor in most cases a total waste of time.-Also many many users do not display photos which first important contact/impressions(assume they have nothing to hide!)
If my account is not cancelled (as encountering similar problems seen on this site),the Ombudsman & Legal procedure will be actioned without any trepidation, as fortunately just come into a large inheritance!

Terrible experience, first the basics the search/distance function doesn't work, secondly none of the 'women' reply to messages and to cap it off, if you dare to cancel your premium membership, you receive an email threatening the use of outside agencies not merely to recover money they have no right as you are no longer using their incredibly poor service, but with a none too subtle warning that these agencies and thus process will cost you far more than simply paying £50.00
Scare mongering is the polite way of putting it, I can think of far stronger more fitting descriptions, of you are reading thus before you try C date then DON'T, if you are reading this after you have joined, then you have my commiserations!

C-date will not let me cancel my subscription
I joined C-date on the 9-mar-26 and tried to cancel on the 10-mar-26 and the again on the 11-mar-26. I paid the initial payment £100 plus payment which I wasn’t aware was going to be that much. After joining the site I realised it was not for. Why after requesting to cancel my subscription numerous times is it still not been cancelled. Can you please let me know how I can cancel my subscription.

This website has charged me for a premium subscription after I requested the subscription cancelled and my account deleted multiple times. They have now threatened me with legal action after I did not pay this subscription, due to my belief that it had been cancelled and my account removed
