Anything for Hire Reviews 

Ordered a limo for prom & it was cancelled last minute with no like for like alternative & they refused to refund the deposit. Would not like this to happen to others so book with another company.

I booked and paid a £220 deposit for a limousine in September 2025 for a prom in July 2026. The day before the event, I was informed by email that the limousine had been cancelled due to an accident.

Although you offered a Mercedes as an alternative, this was not a like-for-like replacement. The limousine was booked specifically so that all of the girls could travel together. The Mercedes would have required two separate trips, meaning the service you offered did not meet the agreement we had made.

As you were unable to provide the service that was contracted, I do not believe it is reasonable to retain my £220 deposit. I therefore request a full refund of the deposit within 14 days.

If the refund is not received, I will have no option but to pursue the matter further, including making a claim through the County Court (small claims track), if necessary. I wonder how many times they book the limo out, then say its unable and keep peoples deposits

Although I booked at short notice with Kevin Phillips, was given an amazingly fast and efficient service.

Then from start of journey to its finish, everything ran smoothly with our lovely driver, who was prompt, helpful and very patient with our group throughout.

Been with many other coach companies, but this is the best by far! Will definitely be using again and would strongly recommend to others.

Don’t recommend. Used them for the first time for my wedding, referred a hummer company to me to use for my big day. Only for that hummer company to be so unprofessional, turned up late on my wedding day, wasn’t even prepared with the bows for the vehicle. Took my cash quick enough on the day & took my bridesmaids & page boys to the wrong location. Oh the story can go on. Only to then complain to anything for hire & have to wait for a resolution which i had to keep chasing up for weeks & weeks after my wedding. 2 months later still chasing them up & they kept fobbing me off saying there looking into it. Then when i said i was gonna take it further for them to say s a good will they’ll offer to pay £100, only for it to be a lie & me chase it up yet again. First time i used them & i’ll never do it again & i’ll make sure to let family & friends know too. Completely ruined my wedding giving me an unprofessional hummer company. Anything for hire’s communication is appalling.

Unless you want to get absolutely harassed and hounded, DO NOT give any details to these guys for a quote. I’ve revived a harrowing 20+ calls in the space of 3 days. All from different numbers associated with this company. I managed to take a screen shot of just a few.

Driver was so polite and patient definitely would book again

Glen was a wonderful person who made me laugh in a time of crisis lol. Was easy to speak with and helped me find a limo /party bus as I massively made a mistake and booked the wrong date loosing my original plans elsewhere where but speaking with glen he helped me and was a wonderful experience. Thankyou glen il defo going to be using use next year for my daughters prom and recommending this to other parents to ✌🏻 10/10 and that was down to u Glen Thankyou x

Absolute scammers. Booked a vehicle 6 months ago ready for a trip we have planned next week. Paid a deposit, received confirmation and were told to get in contact later to arrange final payment and finalise driver details, with the confirmation email saying the final balance was payable as late as the day of hire. When we got in contact a few days ago to ask about final payment, we were told there was no booking, as we were apparently supposed to pay the final balance within 24 hours of. No reminders, no attempts to chase the final payment or even tell us our booking was cancelled, just a lost deposit and no transport less than 2 weeks before our planned trip. After being sent on a wild goose chase to speak to multiple companies trying to fix the issue, we finally got through to someone in customer service, who ‘opened an investigation’ and in less than a day told us they couldn’t return our £300 deposit as ‘their records show the payment rules were communicated’. After further argument and a request for what evidence they had to show this, they claimed they had conveniently ‘changed systems’ so couldn’t access the recording of our booking phone call, and did not acknowledge that the multiple WhatsApp messages and emails they sent had conflicting information to what they claimed they’d communicated clearly. Would not recommend booking with this company if you want a reliable booking or good customer service.

I would strongly advise against booking through Anything For Hire.

I booked a minibus in January, paid a £300 deposit, and received a booking confirmation stating that the remaining balance could be paid on the day of hire (or 10 days before if paying by card). At no point after booking was I contacted to tell me this was incorrect, to request payment, to warn me my booking was at risk, or to advise it had been cancelled.

Months later, when I proactively contacted Anything For Hire to arrange payment, Kev from the Sales Team told me to contact Nationwide to settle the balance. This led me to believe my booking was still active. Nationwide then informed me they had no usable booking and could no longer honour the original price.

I was then passed backwards and forwards between Anything For Hire and Nationwide, with each company pointing me at the other instead of taking ownership of the problem.

When I raised a formal complaint, Krish in Customer Services rejected it entirely. Rather than addressing the contradiction in their own booking confirmation, he relied solely on an internal sales note claiming I had been told payment was due immediately. Despite asking, I was not provided with any call recording or written evidence to support this claim.

I supplied the full text message history, which contains no mention whatsoever of immediate payment, no payment reminder, no cancellation notice and no communication that my £300 deposit was at risk. None of this appeared to be properly considered.

The outcome? No vehicle, no refund of my £300 deposit, and no accountability.

The most frustrating part is that if payment really was due immediately, why did nobody:

* send a payment reminder?
* email to say the booking would be cancelled?
* notify me the booking had lapsed?
* tell me my deposit would be forfeited?
* mention any of this when I first contacted them, instead of telling me to pay Nationwide?

Instead, I spent days acting as the messenger between two companies before eventually being told I’d lost both my booking and my deposit.

This has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve had. I am now pursuing the matter through American Express and will consider further action if necessary.

I would not recommend booking through Anything For Hire based on my experience.

DO NOT USE. If I could give a minus out of 5 then I would. Party bus booked for prom. White transit turned up, dented and dirty. Not what is advertised on their website. Driver turned up to drop kids to prom in an England shirt, looked like he had just walked off a building site.
Driver was asked to drive kids about before dropping them to prom to ensure they could enjoy the experience. After all, it’s a lot of money, right! Driver did not do this, despite being asked by numerous adults and the children in the bus. In fact, he turned up half an hour before the beginning of prom had started and kicked them out at the side of the road. Kids missed prom arrival picture and it ruined their experience. Driver was rude and obviously had somewhere else to be. Bluetooth speakers in so called party bus didn’t work either. Complete waste of £950, for less than an hours hire. I’ve contacted them via email and on the phone but no one replies and if they answer the phone then they aren’t interested. I am now taking to financial ombudsman. Absolute disgrace of a company.

A dreadful experience with this company. Party bus booked months in advance did not turn up.
Initially we were told there was a 30 minute delay due to an accident on the motorway and were sent photographs of standing traffic. Then we we were advised the bus was 15 minutes away..
Two hours after its scheduled arrival we were forced to book taxis and missed large portions of booked activities.

The bus did not arrive at the pick up point and did not arrive for the return journey either. There was no accident on the motorway.

Avoid this company at all costs. Scammers and liars.

Absolutely appalling service. We booked this bus back in March for my friends hen party and paid a deposit to secure the booking. On the day, the bus never turned up. We waited for over two hours with no reliable updates and were eventually forced to arrange alternative transport ourselves. The company then stopped trying to contact me to give me updates and I haven’t heard from them since.
There were 13 of us, and because of this we arrived late to our planned activities, which put a dampener on what should have been a special day.
We were also meant to have a return on the bus but again it never showed and they never tried to contact me for the evening pick up.
This caused unnecessary stress, inconvenience and additional expense. When you book transport months in advance, you expect the company to be reliable, especially for an important occasion like a hen party.
I would not recommend this company based on our experience.

Disgusted!!! I used this platform to find a specific car for my daughter and best friends prom - after three telephone conversations to confirm everything was good, they assured me the company who were assigned were good and reputable! When a hideous dirty WRONG car, with an idiotic driver turned up on the day ‘anything for hire’ accepted no responsibility for this huge day wrecking error! No refunds I was told would come from them - even though they were the platform to seek out the specific car!! I don’t believe the company even own the car I booked……. It raises concerns that anything for hire use companies who they do not have full check of the product they are flogging!! £226 down the drain by placing my trust in this company!!! STAY AWAY!!!!
