Awful experience with these guys! Disgrace!!!
Awful experience with these guys! Tried to upsell us on insurance we’d already paid for , made it clear they didn’t want to know when I tried to show my booking forms. The car was horrendous! Battered and filthy inside ! An absolute disgrace.
Was very nervous on my return but all signed off and good! Then half hour we were asked to get off the shuttle as they had found a problem with 1 one of the tyres.
Turns out I had taken a photo of it on our pick up and was existing .
Got home and surprise surprise they have charged me for it anyway! Currently fighting this now ! If you’re thinking of renting with them! DONT!!!
An absolute disgrace in my eyes!
We rented a car in Seville
We rented a car in Seville, but the model we chose wasn't the one available, and even though it was the same range, it was smaller. The person in charge at the car handover refused to come with me to inspect the car, telling me that all the damage was already recorded in the file. I therefore advise doing a very thorough walkthrough of the car at the handover (with photos and video)... which I unfortunately didn't do well enough. At the final handover at Seville airport, the person in charge noted a dent on the side mirror and a tiny mark (2mm radius max) on the door. I don't know if I'm responsible or not, and since my photos don't show it because they're not clear enough, I can't contest anything. Nevertheless, the person was very unpleasant, there was no possibility of discussion, and they turned their back when I tried to look for photos to show them... The result: €50 for the side mirror and €600 for the door. I've had minor damage during rentals before and I paid for it, which is normal, but I've never been charged such amounts for such insignificant damage. I advise you to avoid this rental company; it's the worst we've ever dealt with and one of the most dishonest.
1/5 — Extremely disappointing experience with ClickRent
I rented a car from ClickRent for 4 days, picking it up at Barcelona Airport and returning it to Valencia Airport. I paid an additional €300 to return the car in Valencia, which I accepted without any problem.
I was supposed to return the car at 8:00 AM but returned it at 1:00 PM. I accept the €140 late-return penalty. However, my deposit was not returned, and when I asked about extending the rental, I was not given any helpful solution.
The worst part was my experience with the agent who was working on the left side of the ClickRent office at Valencia Airport on September 4, 2026, at approximately 14:00 (2:00 PM).
His attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. I felt that I was being treated differently because of my background, and I found the way he spoke to me completely unacceptable.
He repeatedly had to call another colleague for assistance, and he did not properly help me with my situation. He also did not allow me to properly collect my belongings from the car before dealing with the return.
Afterwards, I went back because I wanted to rent another car. I could see cars available on the ClickRent website, and the office was not busy. He told me to take another ticket, so I followed his instructions. When I came back with the ticket, he did not properly check the situation and simply told me that there were no cars available and that I should go to another rental company.
I understand that ClickRent has policies regarding late returns, deposits and vehicle availability. What I cannot accept is the way I was treated as a customer.
Very poor customer service and extremely disappointing treatment. I will never rent from ClickRent again, and based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to other customers.

Expedia booking, fake address
Booked through Expedia, TOTAL SCAM!!!
Was given only a fake address and a phone number that they didn't answer:

Our vehicles are delivered at our office next to the train station, located at Calle Cenicero 13, 28012 Madrid, floor -3 inside the HOMELY ATOCHA Parking.
ClickRent Phone Number: +34971730696
When we got to the address, it was an abandoned booth. Took pictures and sent them to Expedia, but was refused the refund.
Unfortunately my deposit was not…
Unfortunately my deposit was not returned to my card. When I received cancelation recite, that was not my card number in there. Deposit payment was done from my card and I see this transaction, but in system card number was changed and return was done on the other card. I think clickrent does not care about cybersecurity, so I would prefer not to use this company any more.
I would not use this company, would go back to Menorca as it’s beautiful!

Scammed by this Company in Menorca, many other reviews with similar outcome, I feel sorry for the insurance company who now have to cover the cost of a tiny mark on the alloy how this would ever cost €410 to repair, also to note which maybe the insurance company would be interested in are any of the marks/dents ever repaired or does click rent just keep the extra income? When this was questioned and when I asked to speak to a manager they were not available, the response being from the person that dealt with me being “Its all about the money” I did not cause this damage and it was found very quickly, I feel any one of the other dozens of scratches and dents would have been used if I hadn’t taken Photographs and Video’d, when the car was initially picked up .
I feel completely let down by an awful company. Please don’t use them. The person that picked me up from the airport at the start of my holiday was lovely, maybe he should work for someone else.
I will go through the Spanish Consumer complaints department if credit card holds for the petrol are not returned after the company confirmed the car had been returned with a full tank. *Edit this now appears to have been returned* minus their small print “tax claim”
I luckily took out insurance with a separate company for the other issue of the damage i was supposed to have caused.
Would not give 1 star if I could.

Really disappointing experience with ClickRent Alicante. We were charged €300 for a tiny mark on the edge of the door frame that we believe was already there when we collected the car. When we returned the car, the inspector went straight to that exact area, which was very concerning. We had a photo showing the area beforehand, although it wasn’t very clear. The staff were extremely rude and dismissive, and we also had to wait around 45 minutes just to be seen when we arrived. Overall, a very frustrating experience and extremely poor customer service. Take clear photos and videos of the entire car before leaving.
They are complete scammers
They are complete scammers. I took out insurance through the agency website that directed me here. As soon as we returned the car they immediately went to one tiny scratch which was very difficult to see on the pre rental photos due to the sunlight. They charged me €300!!! It is disgusting! When I said it had been in an underground car park for the whole holiday. He said they all say that!! He then said he did not know if they had GPS on their cars!!!!! Dishonest, scammers and very rude and aggressive when challenged. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

I was worried to rent a car in Mallorca airport, but I really appreciate the service of this company. Good price, frequent shuttle service, almost immediate refund of the deposit, very fast pick up and return the car. I definitely recommend it.

Avoid this company and use a more…
Avoid this company and use a more reputable provider. The prices advertised online appear cheaper, but additional insurance costs are introduced on arrival. This leaves you with the choice of paying considerably more than expected or handing over a £1,000 deposit.
After reading numerous reports from customers who struggled to get their full deposit back—or had money deducted—I was understandably reluctant to take that risk. The car itself had bumps and scrapes on virtually every panel, and the customer service was horrendous, with no genuine care or assistance shown.
The low advertised price is misleading once the additional costs and risks are taken into account. I would strongly recommend booking elsewhere.
€1,981.25 charged after return – no joint inspection and I strongly dispute the alleged damage
I strongly advise anyone considering ClickRent to document absolutely everything with photos and video.
My experience has resulted in a dispute over a €1,981.25 charge for alleged damage/cleaning which I strongly contest.
What concerns me most is the way this happened.
There was no proper joint return inspection with me establishing that I had caused the alleged damage. After returning the vehicle, it was outside my possession and control. ClickRent subsequently relied on its own damage documentation and photographs.
This creates an obvious evidential problem: photographs taken after a customer has left may show the condition of a vehicle at that later moment, but they do not by themselves establish when the alleged damage occurred or who caused it.
I have my own original photographs and video evidence, including timestamps/metadata concerning the vehicle’s condition.
ClickRent even requested my original video. I provided it through file-transfer links multiple times. Those links were apparently not accessed in time and expired, after which I was asked to provide the evidence again.
The transaction timeline also raises serious questions for me. My €1,200 security deposit was released/reversed at approximately 06:18, while the disputed €1,981.25 charge was subsequently processed at approximately 07:44. This occurred before the location’s stated opening time of 08:00.
There is also a fuel dispute. I have a timestamped dashboard photograph taken at 06:43 showing the fuel gauge full, yet part of the fuel-related amount was retained and “missing fuel” has subsequently been alleged.
I have challenged all of this and supplied extensive supporting evidence.
I am currently pursuing the matter formally through my card issuer and other available complaint/legal channels. I have also contacted Visa directly.
I am deliberately not accusing anyone of deliberately creating damage after I returned the vehicle because I cannot establish what happened to the vehicle once it was outside my possession. That is precisely the problem: without a proper joint inspection, I cannot verify what happened after I left, while ClickRent subsequently relied on its own documentation to attribute substantial costs to me.
Based on my experience, I find this completely unacceptable.
My dispute remains ongoing and I am seeking recovery of the €1,981.25. I will update this review transparently if ClickRent resolves the matter and refunds the disputed amount.
Until then, my advice to other customers is simple: photograph and video the entire vehicle at collection and return, preserve the original files and metadata, photograph the dashboard, mileage and fuel gauge, and keep every document and transaction record.
A very poor experience from beginning…
A very poor experience from beginning to end.
We waited approximately 45 minutes for the shuttle to the rental office. We might have been collected sooner, but the staff prioritised a group of men who had pushed in ahead of us. As we were travelling with two young children, I found this particularly disappointing.
We were then issued a vehicle with a screw embedded in one of the tyres. By the time we reached our accommodation, the car was barely driveable, and within about ten minutes the tyre was completely flat.
I spent nearly three hours trying to reach an English-speaking telephone operator. Roadside assistance was eventually dispatched, and the mechanic arrived within an hour and repaired the tyre efficiently. Unfortunately, when we returned the car, we were charged €280 for the roadside assistance—even though the tyre had already been damaged when the vehicle was given to us.
The staff member we dealt with, Clara, was extremely unpleasant. She insisted that we sign a form that had not been translated or explained to us, making it clear that otherwise we would not be able to leave in time for our flight. Being placed under that pressure while travelling with two young children was disgraceful. When I attempted to complain at the main office, I was met by another staff member who was patronising and dismissive.
For clarity, at no point did I raise my voice or behave rudely. I work in tourism myself and understand how to remain professional and respectful when handling difficult situations.
We had a lovely holiday in Spain, but ClickRent provided a terrible first and last impression. The entire experience left me feeling that we had been deliberately exploited. I strongly recommend avoiding this company. Judging by what I witnessed at the office, we were certainly not the only customers receiving this kind of treatment.
I fully intend to challenge the charge and recover my money
⭐ Disappointing experience
⭐ Disappointing experience – ClickRent Mallorca Airport
My experience concerns ClickRent Mallorca Airport.
I booked a Fiat 500 Cabrio 2-door or similar specifically because I wanted a convertible during my holiday. Instead, I received a Peugeot 108 TOP 5-door with an opening fabric roof.
I understand that the exact model is not guaranteed and that ClickRent considers the Peugeot 108 TOP to be in the same category. However, it was clearly not the convertible experience I expected when choosing this specific category.
What disappointed me even more was the customer service. I contacted ClickRent politely to explain the situation and ask whether they could offer another vehicle. Their response was simply that the Peugeot 108 TOP falls into the Fiat 500 Cabrio category and that “it is not possible to change the vehicle if there is no real issue with it.”
There was no attempt to find an alternative, offer a compromise or make any commercial gesture. I was on holiday and did not want to spend my time arguing with a rental company, so I was basically left with no choice but to keep the vehicle. This unnecessarily affected my holiday and wasted my time.
Another point customers should know about is the fuel policy. I paid approximately €125 at collection. I returned the car with a full tank, but only around €90 was refunded. The remaining €35 is a non-refundable refuelling/service charge. In my opinion, this additional mandatory cost should be much more visible when comparing the initial rental price.
Also, if you book through DoYouSpain and purchase their Platinum coverage, be aware that ClickRent can still require a €2,000 deposit on your credit card. I was informed that this external insurance does not replace ClickRent’s own coverage and that, if ClickRent charged me for damage, I would have to claim the money back separately through the external insurance. This is important to understand before arriving at the desk, especially if you expect the Platinum coverage to avoid a €2,000 deposit.
I have rented cars several times in Mallorca with other companies and have normally received either the category booked or an upgrade. This is the first time I have been so disappointed by the combination of the vehicle provided, additional costs and the unwillingness of customer service to find a solution.
To be fair, there was one positive point: the drop-off was quick, easy and well organised.
Unfortunately, based on my overall experience with ClickRent Mallorca Airport, I would not choose them again.
Avoid this company
Avoid this company. I booked through Booking.com with fully comprehensive insurance already paid for. On arrival at the Mahón depot, staff immediately told me my cover was worthless, that I would not be covered if the car broke down or was damaged, and that I would be liable for all damage. I was pressured into paying 126euros for their own insurance (more than the car hire) or face a 2000euro deposit, despite my booking.com agreement stating I only needed to pay 1000 euros
When I tried to pay, my card was declined repeatedly. My bank, Lloyds told me the issue was on their end: ClickRent is flagged as a very high risk merchant and they would not authorise payment to them.
While I waited, I watched at least half a dozen other Booking.com customers get the identical speech. The staff member was extremely assertive and dismissive. The depot is well away from the airport and you are bussed in, so once you are there you have no real alternative.
Very disappointing and misleading…
Very disappointing and misleading experience with ClickRent Barcelona.
My rental was booked for 13:30, but after a cancelled flight I arrived a few hours earlier. At the desk I was told I could not take the car earlier because I would be “uninsured”, unless I paid an additional €135 for Click Relax coverage.
I paid the €135 and received the car only about two hours earlier than originally booked. Their own rental agreement later showed that the standard rental already included compulsory insurance and that Click Relax was additional coverage.
Even more frustrating: their documents show the collection time was changed in their system despite me being told this was impossible.
I complained several times and requested a refund, but ClickRent has now stopped responding.
€135 extra on a €208 rental, based on information I believe was seriously misleading. Very poor customer service. I would not rent from ClickRent again.
They never refunded my money after cancellation
They are a scam! I cancelled my booking and as per contract I should get back 50% of the money that I paid. 15 days later not only I haven't received my money back but I've also not got a response from them even if I keep sending them emails asking about it. AVOID BOOKING WITH THEM
