The Career Shifter's Launchpad course, has completely changed my mindset about my career options.
I have gained confidence and optimism about what is possible and I'm enjoying the journey as much as I know I will achieving the end goal.
For me, it's been about far more than just my career, Launchpad has changed my approach to life's challenges, moving me away from over thinking and encouraging me to look outside the world I know. I'm discovering new interests and building a wider circle of friends.
They don't just leave you with a set of notes at the end of the course either, you retain access to the course content and there are options to remain part of the membership for ongoing support.
This course is one of a kind and I'm so fortunate to have taken part in it. I would thoroughly recommend other career searchers do to.

I have just completed Launch Pad 9 week course.
Launch Pad has been a genuinely valuable course, giving me a practical and grounded framework to approach career change—and wider life decisions—with more confidence, clarity, and purpose. I would highly recommend Launch Pad to anyone looking to take their next step with greater intention.

I really like the careershifters website and newsletter. It has helped me and continues to help me with my career transition. There are always good ideas, small steps to take, useful guidance and it helps me build confidence for whatever comes next. It also makes me feel less alone which is so important! While I haven't particpated in a course yet, the team seems super helpful and responsive. Grateful for all the work they are doing!

I attended the 2-hour online introductory workshop "How to identify exciting, viable options for your next career" and it was exactly the catalyst I needed. It provided a structured space to articulate the career struggles I had been quietly dealing with for a while, and it forced me to finally take concrete action.
One of the biggest bonuses was the community aspect; I met a wonderful group of like-minded people whom I kept in touch weeks after the 2h workshop. Even though I chose not to do the full Launch Pad program, this short session completely jump-started my transition. Thanks to the momentum I gained, I successfully shifted into a new role that I truly enjoy. I actually look forward to going to work now!

I attended a workshop to help me find ideas for a new career. It provided practical, do-able advice and clarity on reducing overwhelm over the steps to take.”

I attended a 2 hour course with Careershifters and was v impressed - worth the money. Richard was incredibly knowledgeable and adapted the session to the needs of the attendees, not just going through the motions.
Being in a group of other likeminded people - sharing hurdles, worries, life situations etc. was really validating and encouraging.

I attended a 2 hour workshop with Career Shifters as the first step of evaluating my current career and how to go about understanding how to investigate changing careers. Richard was an excellent facilitator, and talking to others in the group was incredibly helpful - lots of people in the same or very similar position as me, emotionally as well as in terms of employment! The resources shared for the workshop, as well as free resources available on the Career Shifters website are also very informative for people considering a change and set out specific next steps for changing career. I have signed up for the full Launch Pad course following the workshop, and the one-on-one follow up call offered afterwards.

I attended a CareerShifters Career Change Workshop after following this organisation for a while, having read many of their blogs and cohort's experience. The workshop itself did not dissappoint, it was realistic, well facilitated, keeping the small group attending engaged and willing to share their experience and thoughts which really added a lot to the session. The overall approach suggested was realistic, thought provoking and encouraging. They highlighted there were no shortcuts to the right career shift, but it certainly provided a path forward which was a well researched and reasoned approach if you desired that change. This resonated with me and many others on the workshop, and there were many resources and support offered by Career Shifters to encourage you to stay on the journey and reach whatever a shift meant for you. I would highly recommend attending this workshop to see if this approach is right for you. I had read many of their blogs and material but this was a step change in understanding the approach by hearing from their course leaders and other participants.

I would highly recommend Careershifters to anyone seeking clarity and direction in their next career search.
Before attending the workshop I felt completely stuck having spent countless hours scrolling through jobs sites and even asking AI for advice without any real sense of progress. While I had a general idea of the field I wanted to move into, I found myself held back by the fear of making the wrong decision or putting myself at financial risk.
The workshop was a real eye-opener. It has helped explain why those countless hours have led nowhere, and has provided clarity on how to explore and navigate a career change in practical and manageable steps.

Highly recommended! This was an excellent, interactive workshop where the facilitator outlined a clear career-change roadmap and success principles. The breakout sessions were also a great opportunity to share experiences with others in the same boat.
It really helped clarify how to unblock obstacles, be more realistic about timelines, and map out the next steps. If you want to change careers but are struggling with how to start, this is for you.

Richard was positive, friendly and knowledgable about how to support people who are making a career change. It was good to speak to other attendee's who were having a similar experience of trying to clarify what they should do next. It was helpful to see some real life examples of how people have pivoted into other careers and have some actionable steps I can now make to move forward and make progress with the next stage of planning a new career.

Months and months ago, while searching for general career guidance/advice online, I came across the CareerShifters website. They seemed interesting and so I signed up to receive emails and articles.
In my already crowded inbox, I found that their weekly emails kept getting my attention and interest. Their articles were NOT generic advice about optimizing a resume or how to game an interview. What I found is that they were alive with genuine and thought provoking points to consider, the topics seeming to ring true to my own experiences, and it all felt grounded in real actual human behavior. I often found myself realizing, “Oh wow. THAT that makes sense. Never though of it like that.” far too often.
I tend to be tight with my wallet, especially since so many online things can be a con or a scam. So it took me a while to warm up to spending a little money (not much) to do one of their webinars. But I took the plunge, and I, along with a number of other people across the UK and the States all came together to participate in the CareerShifters “How to identify exciting, viable options for your next career” online workshop on March 21, 2026. It was great.
I was blown away by our host’s (Richard) warmth, transparency, friendliness, and knowledge about the topics covered. This webinar discussed the first steps in uncovering what you might like to do next in your career journey. He has clearly tackled these topics with others before, and I found the guidance offered in that 90 minutes to be genuinely priceless. And like the articles before, his approach was very people based, not activity based. What I mean by that is that sometimes we don’t see the obvious that sits right in front of us until it is identified, and then we wonder how we didn’t see it before.
That is the type of value that I think CareerShifters offers, and I think what drives it is a real, genuine desire to help others.
I’m not a “jump into the deep end of the pool” type guy by nature, but I am slowly following the advice that Richard offered in that session. Is it helping? I think so. My next steps in life are becoming a little clearer. I have realized that my career shift is not just a simple math problem where you get an instant answer. It is more like a jigsaw puzzle, where I get a better picture of my own core values and interests the more I put it together. And that, coupled with talking to others to expand my worldview a bit, looking for opportunities in the world that I haven’t seen till now, will hopefully lead me to find something more fulfilling career-wise.
In any event, I will be keeping CareerShifters close by during my journey. They are on to something really helpful.

The Careershifters work shop is a great starting point for anyone looking to change career. I found the online workshop invaluable connecting with others in the same position as myself. I now feel I have a more positive and confident outlook about changing career, and have gained more knowledge how best to go about it. A better understanding how to find the career I want in a more structured and timely manner. The length and time of the workshop was suitable to do out of my normal working hours and was more enjoyable than expected.

Fresh off the Feb-Apr26 LaunchPad alongside Louise B, Louise, Anna, Kim & Suzy—hi folks!—I completely endorse everything they have written about the LaunchPad. What earlier participants have written also chimes with me, and I’m delighted to read that they have completed successful career shifts thanks to the Launch Pad. On top of that, I’d add:
- Launch Pad activities involve time, effort and commitment, it’s true, but they energise you, broaden your horizons, and boost your morale.
- Activities are exquisitely well balanced between outward-facing missions and reflective exercises
- The Launch Pad course runs at a measured, moderate pace, punctuated by weekly calls that are a welcome opportunity to catch up with fellow participants (some of whom you might have worked with in the preceding week) and coaches who are always motivating but never irritating (which is a neat trick to pull off).
- Being part of a mutually supportive community, and a diverse one at that, is genuinely wonderful and very conducive to making progress. (One of my coursemates told me she had come back to do the LaunchPad again, after doing it years beforehand and making a successful career shift shortly afterwards, rather than simply applying on her own what she had learned the first time, in large part because of the mutual learning and support that being in a LaunchPad cohort provides.)
- The LaunchPad teaches you how to go about exploring career possibilities without spending long periods of time or large sums of money. An unexpected benefit for me is that I now become queasy at the thought of, say, devoting weeks to studying for a professional certification that didn’t excite me simply because it might come in handy, or look good on my CV, whereas beforehand I might have seriously contemplated it. “Experiment inexpensively!”
- Careershifters are an organisation that looks out for you. Before admitting you to the LaunchPad, they’ll have a friendly call with you to check that you and they judge that the course is right for you and that it’s a suitable time for you to participate in it. (Another of my coursemates told me she had joined after having previously deferred because, on reflection, it wasn’t the right time then.)
Therefore, I heartily recommend attending Careershifters’ introductory online workshop. It will be a couple of hours and a few pounds very well invested in yourself, your future career, and your ongoing wellbeing.

It has given me a clear tried and tested framework to explore new careers that are more aligned to my core interests and strengths. The coaching is strong, material accessible and actionable, with the added bonus of having the connection with other cohort members which really aided accountability to get stuff done!
