I clicked an Misleading ad - thought it was a marketing tool, it's only courses + 2 charges in seconds ad that…
I clicked an Instagram ad that advertised Coursiv as a marketing tool / all-in-one toolkit to help my business with marketing.
After paying R400+ for the first subscription, one more click charged another R900+ from my account within seconds (total ~R1350). Only then I saw it's not a tool that does marketing for you - it's video courses about AI tools, with certificates.
I realized immediately it was not what I needed. Within minutes I cancelled and requested a refund. They refused.
I am a small business owner in South Africa (CNC workshop), I wanted something to help me make a few photos/flyers and send to clients. I don't need courses or certificates.
Be careful:
1. The ad says "toolkit" but you get courses 2. Second charge comes with one click, no clear warning it's a second payment 3. No refund even if you ask within the hour
I have screenshots of both charges and cancellation.
If you want to learn AI, maybe it's okay. If you want a tool that does marketing for your business - this is not it. Check before you pay.
