Download rates below 5 mbit/s with homespot 200
I'm using the homespot 200 contract with the Alcatel HH40V LTE-Router which should provide up to 50 mbit/s download rates. In reality, I get less than 5 mbit/s when the router is placed in the kitchen with two sides of the room consisting mostly of glass and the laptop standing right next to it. When I open the door to the terrace it sometimes improves to almost 10 mbit/s. I understand that congstar does not guarantee a minimum download rate and they're well advised not to, however, this is of course deeply unsatisfying and does not allow basic streaming at a resolution that doesn't make me want to rip my eyes out.
Edit 27.09.2022:
I contacted customer service following the link as suggested. Weeks later, they haven't gotten back to me. The download rates are still horrible. It frustrates me that I am being told that the signal depends on building and location conditions. As I pointed out, two sides of the room are mostly glass and an LTE provider, in my opinion, should foresee the possibility that customers live in enclosed spaces. In fact, outside we get better reception, just that a router shouldn't stand outside. Anyway, this is simply not working anywhere close to how it should be.
