Be VERY careful to read and FULLY understand the terms and conditions when booking your next holiday through a travel agent. We booked flights and a cruise through TripDeal and paid an initial payment of A$4,349.We had an unavoidable reason to cancel this trip 267 days BEFORE the departure date. Even so, TripaDeal insisted we provided specialist medical reasons for cancelling the trip, which we did.
We received a refund of A$1679.54 only. So cancelling cost us A$2,669.46, or 61% of our initial payment.
To date, we have not received any information from TripaDeal why this amount is so high.
I have checked the websites of both carriers, and under the circumstances, we would have been able to claim 100% refunds from both of them

still maintaining that the led lights have been delivered. When I ask for proof (EVERY delivery these days is photographed) they say'because the item has been delivered they have no further contact with the delivery company. I did tell them that I hope that their mothers are proud of them!

Dan, our consultant was very helpful. Three stars only as we think both the deposit amount so far in advance and full payment also so far in advance is not necessary, and not in accordance with other travel agents which we have used.
