First, I cancelled the item before dispatch. Nevertheless Dyson ignored this and it was delivered. Secondly, I request a return collection. The advice was the the courier (An Post) would contact me to arrange on the day listed. This was wrong as I had to book the collection with An Post myself. They re eejits!
One might suppose that Tesco offers good value. But when the rotten vegetables, fruit so bruised it must have been beaten to death and milk that goes off on or even before the date on the package despite fridge storage, their prices elevate way beyond what their second-rate offering is worth. They may Price-match but they seem to achieve that at the expense of quality. "Every little helps" their profits but not the Customer if you look beyond the prices.
We could not get into our account because we had changed supplier and ESB voided everything. Finally got to get them to accept the MPRN as before but then they could not send the verification code. Their repair teams on the ground are heroic but the office staff are absolutely useless and let the whole side down. If they were not employed by the State they would be sacked, but they just don't care
The website linked to the smart meters has always been poor but it has now descended into farce having lost my MPRN and being unable to accept a valid re-registration. If this were a private business there would be uproar but since it is nationalised it seems to be populated with incompetents who don't give a damn and are just serving their time until they can draw their pensions. Why do we pay taxes to suffer from these eejits?
Yet again smart meter website cannot provide readings. It always seems to run several days late then has to be "undergoing routine maintenance" and comes back even worse Heads should roll!
Was still trying to get some sense out of them and, having had my wife complete a successful i/d check for them with Mitek we still kept on getting dire messages to complete one. Rang customer services in despair and finally got Valentina. She not only spoke English but understood it and got me the required answer in 25 minutes, that we were to ignore the subsequent messages as the system was not properly set. If only there were more like her at Virgin.

Good Afternoon Charles, thanks for getting in touch.
Sorry that things didn't go to plan, hence the initial reason for reaching out.
We're glad to see that Valentina was able to restore your faith, and I'll pass your comments on.
Could not tolerate Tesco's generally tasteless and often short-dated vegetables in Clonmel any longer. First tried Dunnes home-baked bread and found it excellent, moved on to the vegetables and these are fresh and actually taste of something. Generally good quality.
Trying to get some sense out of these people who cannot even read a retailer's terms and conditions correctly and speculate about the financial arrangements between the primary and additional cardholder in a totally inaccurate way and reject what should be a legitimate chargeback claim. Then suddenly demand an identity check of that well-established cardholder giving rise to the suspicion that this is linked. If so this is tantamount to harassment. Don't anyone forget that the Financial Ombudsman is there to help sort out this kind of behaviour. We are on the verge of an approach to that office.
Interesting response below since this has already been dragging on since late August, but "Pigs might fly..."

Good Afternoon Charles, thanks for getting in touch to share your concerns.
We're sorry to learn you're unhappy with the outcome of our research, and have cause to raise a complaint as a result.
If the wheels aren't already in motion, on receipt of your official complaint, our Customer Relations team will conduct a full investigation behind the scenes, touching on all of the points you've raised within that. This process can take up to 8 weeks, and if you remain unhappy with our Final Response on the matter, you can at that point escalate the case to the Financial Ombudsman Service for an impartial view.
I can only apologise it's led to that. Further details can be found here: https://uk.virginmoney.com/service/complaints/
Appalling service. Call centre operator totally incapable of handling a simple request. Waited over 32 minutes for no result. The reply from Virgin was total rubbish as nothing can make up for too few and ill-trained call centre staff who can hardly speak English. Spent another 30 minutes getting through only to be cut off. Just another computer-generated response and totally inadequate. Might as well keep silent.

As usual Irish Ferries are being thoroughly evasive and will not confirm how long they will keep this rust bucket on the Rosslare-Pembroke-Rosslare route. I have it on good authority that it is 3 months which will probably take us to the end of March. Yet again, one cannot book accommodation after the 23rd February as of yesterday. They are stuck back in the 1970s thinking they can get away with this. SAIL WITH STENA. We shall from now on despite foregoing our shareholder discount.
This vessel, chartered from P&O and clearly designed for commercial traffic is presently sailing on the Rosslare-Pembroke-Rosslare route. It has limited capacity and suitability for car passengers and yet you will be charged full fare for a service that falls well short of that. STOP IRISH FERRIES THINKING THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS BEHAVIOUR AND TRAVEL WITH STENA FROM THE 19TH FEBRUARY(?)
Parcel, "misdirected", then the rubbish: "delivery attempted", "rang, no answer", "operational delay" "delivered, signature obtained"- no just put over the gate in the pouring rain. Why does anyone use them? They would be better employed compiling a dictionary of excuses.

Hi
Thank you for leaving you feedback
Apologies for issues with your parcel – I would like to investigate your issue, if you could send this review along with your tracking number to tpsupport@fastway.ie
They stole my money and won't respond. I have contacted them 4 times to resolve their "theft" of a customs charge erroneously sent to me with the goods then sent to the other side of the country and someone else altogether. Their telephone contact is useless just keeping the caller on hold and then switching to engaged and they don't answer emails. The reference of the parcel was RD863654726IN.
BBC stopped broadcasting yesterday, as they had said they would and my 2019 Majority Peterhouse stopped working. I had contacted Majority earlier this year as soon as the BBC started warning us that this would happen and I was assured that all would be fine. I will now buy one that works but not a Majority.

It now looks as though courier 781 is either totally unreliable or "economic with the facts". On 10th May we had an "attempted delivery" notice on tracking (see below). On the 11th (yesterday) we left our gates open all day and were present throughout. Again we received an "attempted delivery" notice for 1839hrs when it was impossible not be to be able to carry out a delivery. This would be funny if it were not serious. Failure to deliver is one thing, but giving out the wrong information is completely unprofessional. From reading the reviews this does not appear to be unique and this is intolerable.
12/05 NOW A MEANINGLESS PASTED IN STANDARD REPLY. THAT'S ALL YOU GET. AVOID THESE CARRIERS. 12/05 Parcel finally delivered to our postbox at 1437hrs today as it was a small book. That shows that the two previous "attempted delivery" claims were false. This time it suggested "signature obtained". NOT MINE and no one in my household. The gates were open and 781 could easily have come to the front door but he didn't. Another fallacy from Fastways. Mistakes are one thing but false claims coupled with lack of performance makes this courier unfit for purpose. Let's hope another franchisee takes over this depot soon as the service cannot get much worse. And please, Fastways don't reply with more auto-filled text.

Now they try to deliver a parcel at 2248hrs at night and claim a "delivery attempted" and failure. Yes they have failed yet again and what company can reasonably expect a courier, in this case number 781 to be working at that hour? They might well be cheaper than other couriers but this is why. AVOID
