# issue #17 fix: operate on a flattened composite duplicate so the
# bitmap reflects ALL visible layers (previously only the top layer
# was copied/exported). merge_visible keeps alpha, unlike flatten().

🩺 Stability & Availability | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win

Move composite cleanup to the method-level finally block.

get_image_bitmap requests reach _get_current_image_bitmap, where a partial region such as {"origin_x": 0} returns before the export finally block. A merge_visible_layers() exception also occurs before composite_to_delete receives the duplicate. Both paths can retain the duplicate image. Initialize composite_to_delete before duplication, assign the duplicate before merging, and delete it from an outer finally that covers the full method. Keep the existing inner finally for temporary export images and files.

In `@gimp-mcp-plugin.py` at line 528, Update _get_current_image_bitmap so
composite_to_delete is initialized before duplicating the image, receives the
duplicate before merge_visible_layers(), and is deleted in an outer method-level
finally covering all return and exception paths, including partial-region
validation and merge failures. Preserve the existing inner finally for temporary
export images and files.
