Review of Triodos Bank
Im a bit disgusted that this bank has decided to pull out of Germany. Having played with my money for 10 years, I would have expected at least an apology, but no, nothing, customer service which is truly appalling. Its always deeply unsettling when a "trustworthy" institute like a bank pulls out, I would not recommend them to any of my international friends based on precisely this.

I wish I could access my account (Its been a while now and no luck). But to speak with a customer services agent who refused to pass me on to their manager and who hung up on me was EXCEPTIONALLY poor. Seriously third world service! I am so disappointed and am now looking for an alternative ethical bank in Germany- Why wasnt the original app updated? This makes me think there were security concerns and you are not being transparent with customers! Why make us download a new app and then have to wait for you to POST us a new code to access it? WHY????

Whatever you do, make sure to give them no credit card details as they will scam you- They took payment and then wrote to me threatening legal action and demanding payment (which is what alerted me to the fact that they had as I checked my account). This company is a scam, pure and simple. I struggle to believe that the employees are able to sleep at night knowing what they are part of. Sickening.

The terms of service for Albatross members are all clearly listed on the Membership Page. The fact that you have not downgraded your account is also mentioned at the top of the page.
Downgrading your account takes less than a few minutes and is an easy process which we list in multiple places, including our FAQ page!
However, you can also always write to our Community Support Team who will gladly assist you in doing it for you if anything is unclear or if you do not have the time to do it yourself.

I have my mortgage with this bank which is hugely unfortunate. Be aware they do not record their calls and will lie to you on the phone with no thought to the consequences. They have continually lied to us, and we are out of pocket to the tune of over 15k as a direct result of their incompetence and lies. They then sent us a letter thanking us for trusting them! There is no trust. They have begrudgingly given us the details of the ombudsman after 3 months of trying to complain. Avoid at all costs- you would do better pretty much anywhere else- I have had a better banking experience in many third world countries!

I have used this to book rental cars, hotel accommmodation buy things on ebay- All things that I would have needed to do anyway, but I now get the benefit of some extra cash back- Easy to use and a bit of a no-brainer really!
