Review of FedEx

Delivered, Signed, Left in Mailbox? FedEx Can't Explain the Difference and lost my son's birthday present!

My experience with FedEx has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.

A package containing a birthday present for my son was marked as delivered, but I never received it.

The proof of delivery provided by FedEx states that the package was "signed for by M.MAILBOX." The signature shown is not mine, and I have never received the shipment.

When I contacted FedEx on 4 June 2026, I was called by a warehouse manager who identified himself as "R". He informed me that he had spoken directly with the driver, who reportedly stated that the package had been delivered to my mailbox.

I immediately pointed out the contradiction:

If the package was left in a mailbox, who signed for it?
Why does the proof of delivery contain a signature?
Why does it not identify me as the recipient?

I was told that the matter would be investigated and that I would receive a call back. That call never came.

I subsequently filed a formal complaint and requested clarification regarding the delivery, including questions about the signature, delivery method, driver's notes, and investigation findings.

The response I received from FedEx was simply that they could not compensate my claim because their records show the package as delivered.

That response completely ignored the questions I raised and failed to address the inconsistencies in the delivery record.

At this point, the issue is not the €50 value of the package. It is a matter of accountability and customer service. When a customer reports a missing package and provides evidence that the proof of delivery does not identify them as the recipient, the least they should expect is a proper investigation and clear answers.

I am currently awaiting substantive responses to my formal complaint from both FedEx and Farfetch.

If either company conducts a proper investigation and resolves the matter fairly, I will gladly update this review. Until then, I can only share my experience and advise others to carefully review delivery records and dispute any discrepancies immediately.
