Grateful for White Collar Advice
Justin and the entire team at White Collar Advice has been so supportive and informative from my very first phone call to them several months ago. The communication, services and support come from a space of true concern and most importantly years and years of living experience. I am truly grateful to have Justin and White Collar Advisors in my corner, giving me good solid direction in this the most difficult time in my life and my family's life.
A Godsend for Families Navigating the Federal System
I cannot recommend White Collar Advice and CEO Justin Paperny enough. Discovering this team has been an absolute Godsend for my family.
My husband is currently going through the federal system, and before we found Justin, we were lost, confused and overwhelmed. Since implementing his advice, everything has changed. We now have a clear strategy, a sense of confidence, and a better understanding of how the system works. For the first time, we feel like we have a fighting chance.
We found Justin through his partner, Michael Santos, and they have truly built a company that moves mountains. They are not just consultants; they are advocates—and if you ask me, they're angels. They are attentive, wise, considerate, and treat you like family. The most important lesson we learned from them is the concept of the "Purple Cow"—being extraordinary, advocating for yourself, and never giving up!
My family will be forever grateful to Justin and the entire White Collar Advice team. I recommend them to anyone else I meet who is navigating this difficult journey. If you are looking for guidance, look no further.
white collar advice was a life raft while drowning
Going to the federal system, I would liken it a lot too like treading water. Each next step adds a weight and stress and the process is anything but slow. White Collar Advice was a life raft during this. It didn’t remove me from my problems, but Justin and Michael gave me a sturdy platform away from reactive panic to be able to digest where I currently was, where I needed to go, and how to get there. I was connected to Justin by a mutual friend and quickly understood that he was both knowledgeable and trustworthy. That was huge because up to this point my trust in the system had been dissolved. If you’re thinking about an advocate or like me, you’ve had several advocates self reach out on various platforms due to having a public case. No one is going to care more about your case more than you and White Collar advice sets you up to be the best self advocate. White Collar Advice is the best option and I vetted many other advocate processes.
I’m beyond thankful for the continued advice and support of both Justin at WCA and Michael.
Great sentencing outcome!
I can not begin to convey how transformative my experience was working with the team at White Collar Advice. It was a great investment that yielded an amazing outcome. My guidelines were above 51 months, the prosecutor pushed for the guidelines.
However, I didn’t sit back and expect my lawyer to do everything. I began to build a new record, document my journey, accepted responsibility, continued to work, and volunteered. The judge highlighted this during my sentencing.
The judge imposed a sentence of a year and a day. This was a significant downward departure from 54 months.
The principles work, but not without you. You have to do the work
Facing 70 months. Sentenced to probation. Here is what the work looked like.
On July 28, 2026, a federal judge in the Eastern District of Louisiana sentenced me on one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud. My exposure was 70-87 months in federal prison. I received five years of probation, twelve months of home detention, and 350 hours of community service. No prison.
I hired Justin Paperny and White Collar Advice early, and that timing mattered more than anything else I did. When I came to them I was doing what most defendants do. Waiting, talking to my lawyers, assuming my history would speak for itself. Justin's team told me plainly that a judge can only weigh what you put in front of him. Then they gave me the work.
They built a plan for my personal narrative and pushed me through draft after draft until it was honest instead of defensive. They would not let me hide behind the qualifiers I had leaned on for two years.
They directed the gathering of character reference letters, over thirty of them, coaching me on what those letters needed to contain to be worth a judge's time. Most importantly, they taught me to build a documented record over time rather than assemble claims the month before sentencing.
Justin went beyond the engagement more than once. He brought me into a speaking event he was giving at Whitworth University, where I spent time with senior accounting students on the ethical pressures they will meet in business. Using my own failure to warn people early in their careers was one of the more useful things I have done in this process.
He also introduced me to Michael Santos and Prison Professors Charitable Corporation. I ended up assisting in the development of a software platform for the nonprofit that thousands now use to build their own records. Michael wrote to my judge describing that work in detail.
The judge noticed. In his judgment he ordered that priority consideration for my 350 hours of community service be given to Prison Professors Charitable Corporation, by name. He wanted the work to continue.
Justin and his team never promised me a shorter sentence. They told me the truth, gave me a framework, and held me to it for two years while I did the work. The judge responded to a record, and that record exists because his team refused to let me coast.
If you are awaiting sentencing and telling yourself there is time, there is not. The work takes years, not weeks, and it compounds every month you start earlier.
I am serving my sentence at home with my family, still running my business, and continuing the service work my judge asked me to continue. I would not be here without Justin and his team.
I Never Became a Client, Yet Justin Helped Me Change the Outcome of My Federal Case
I have never written a review like this before, but I feel obligated to share my experience because there are people reading this right now who are where I was two years ago: scared, overwhelmed, facing federal charges, and trying to figure out what to do next.
Although I was never able to formally hire Justin Paperny and White Collar Advice, I spent nearly two years attending webinars, watching videos, reading articles, and consuming every free resource they made available.
What I learned changed the way I approached my case.
Justin teaches that hope is not a strategy. Excuses are not a strategy. Waiting for your lawyer to save you is not a strategy. You must become an active participant in your own defense, take ownership of your decisions, document your growth, and show the court who you are beyond the offense conduct.
I decided to do exactly that.
While raising three children as a single father, maintaining full-time employment, complying with federal pretrial supervision for years, attending treatment, gathering records, building mitigation materials, and preparing for sentencing, I applied the lessons Justin teaches every day.
One concept that stayed with me was his “Purple Cow” philosophy.
Most defendants blend into the background. They show up hoping for mercy. Justin teaches people how to stand out through authenticity, accountability, preparation, and action.
I made it my mission to become that Purple Cow.
My case involved serious federal firearm charges. The government advocated for a guideline range of 84 to 105 months imprisonment.
I ultimately received a sentence of 45 months.
No cooperation agreement.
No Rule 35 motion.
No §5K1.1 motion.
No cooperation whatsoever.
Just years of hard work, preparation, accountability, and applying the principles Justin teaches.
What makes this even more remarkable is that I never became a client.
Everything I learned came from Justin’s webinars, videos, articles, podcasts, and free educational content. I simply listened, took notes, trusted the process, and applied what was being taught.
The most important thing I can tell anyone reading this is that the information works—but only if you do the work.
The webinars work.
The courses work.
The mitigation strategies work.
The mindset works.
But you must be willing to apply it consistently and honestly.
Justin often says that outcomes are engineered, not hoped for. I can personally attest to the truth of that statement.
I did not stand before the court asking for sympathy. I stood before the court prepared, accountable, and able to demonstrate who I had become during the years between my arrest and sentencing.
If I had the opportunity to go back and do one thing differently, I would hire Justin and his team on day one.
After seeing the impact their free content had on my case and my life, I can only imagine the value of having direct access to their guidance throughout the entire process.
For anyone considering whether to hire Justin Paperny and White Collar Advice, my advice is simple:
Do it.
Your freedom is too important.
Your family is too important.
Your future is too important.
You can spend months or years wondering what you should be doing, or you can learn from people who have dedicated their lives to helping federal defendants prepare for the most important chapter of their lives.
I am living proof that the principles Justin teaches work when they are applied.
For that, I will always be grateful.

I reached out to Justin for help with…
I reached out to Justin for help with my sentencing letter of support- and from the very start he communicated with me and my attorney's to get a complete understanding about my situation- no prejudment complete open mind and honest feedback for what he felt needed to be done. Once he received the information from us, he helped me correct my story of partial acceptance of responsibility and guided me to full acceptance and understanding for what work can be done moving forward. Justin and his resources helped me achieve the best outcome for my situation. To stand in a federal court room awaiting judgment was a very difficult experience- but with the support from people who have been in that situation helped me tremendously.

Very helpful and informative
I have only good things to say about White Collar Advice and the support they have provided during what is one of the most stressful and overwhelming period of time for my family.
From the beginning, Justin and one of his associates were incredibly responsive, compassionate, and knowledgeable. They both took the time to personally speak with my son and me about what he is facing when he surrenders to federal prison. They never made us feel rushed and answered every question we had with patience, honesty, and understanding.
What stood out most was how willing they were to walk us through what lies ahead and help us understand the realities of the federal prison system. Facing the unknown is terrifying, but having clear information and realistic expectations made a huge difference for us.
Their guidance helped us feel more prepared and gave us a better understanding of what to expect moving forward. Being armed with knowledge during such a difficult time brought a sense of clarity and reassurance when we needed it most.
I truly appreciate their professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care. If you or a loved one is facing a a prison sentence and needs guidance from people who truly understand this process and what you are going through, I would recommend reaching out to White Collar Advice.

Engaged and Knowledgeable Team with Real Results
I routinely work with Justin and his team, and they are incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and engaged. I have seen over and over again how they help defendants and their families navigate the justice process, emotionally come to terms with what is going on, and always see light at the end of the tunnel.

I have been a client since December…
I have been a client since December 2021, White Collar Advice helped me since my target letter with advance preparation and attorney coordination. They helped speak with several attorneys and choose the best one. I decided with my lawyer to go to trial and was found Not Guilty. It is a testament to the wonderful work this group does. Highly recommended
Save your money!!!!!
Save your money!!!!!! The prision system has there own politics, these people do not care, while i was in there, they did not advice me, spent so much money for nothing. You learn as you go. There is no special access by hiring these people. Every prision is different, prision staff is lazy, uncompetent. Your better off learning from social media then these guys.
From Uncertainty to Strength
Working with the team at White Collar Advice was one of the most important decisions I made during the most difficult chapter of my life.
From day one, Justin, Forrest, and Tayana were there for me in a way that went far beyond what I expected. They didn’t just provide advice; they truly showed up. At every stage of the process, they guided me, supported me, and helped me understand what was ahead with honesty and clarity.
This journey is painful, confusing, and isolating. But having them in my corner made all the difference. In many ways, they provided more practical guidance and real-world preparation than my legal team. Because of their coaching, I was able to present myself better, make informed decisions, and ultimately receive a lower sentence.
What meant the most to me was that their support didn’t stop at sentencing. They prepared me for my time in federal camp, showing me how to navigate it with the right mindset and actions. That guidance helped me earn a faster recommendation to return to society and, more importantly, helped me come out stronger.
Today, I feel like a different man; more grounded, more aware, and fully committed to living as a law-abiding citizen and giving back to society. That transformation didn’t happen by accident. It happened because of the structure, accountability, and support they gave me.
I’m deeply grateful to Justin, Forrest, and Tayana. If you are facing this process, having the right guidance can change everything….and this team truly delivers!
The best decision I made during my case
Hiring Justin and his team was easily the best decision I made during the most challenging chapter of my life. When you are facing a federal investigation, it feels like you're in a dark place with no way out, but this team provides a path, but it is one where you will have to do the work. Paying anyone who says they can reduce your sentence simply by paying them is a very bad idea, no ethical person or company would ever make such a claim. Justin and his team do not make that claim, what they say is that none of it may matter, you may get the same sentence with them vs if you had never heard of them. What they offer is a blueprint to build a story around how you are more than your worst decisions. I spent 3.5 years on pre-trial, with this hanging over my head, having real, actionable work and goals helped with sentencing but maybe more importantly it gave me purpose and work during this uncertain time.
Justin is a true professional. He is accessible, direct, and has been in our shoes. From our first call, he helped me shift my mindset from "surviving" to "proactive mitigation." He and Michael don't just offer "happy talk,” they are not going to tell you what you want to hear, they are going to tell you the truth and it is tough, but much more valuable.
The results speak for themselves. While the guidelines were daunting, the work I did with the team led to a significantly better outcome than even my lawyer anticipated. The judge specifically commended the "meaningful impact" of the narrative, the community service work with Prison Professors Charitable Corporation, and the character letters we prepared. The government was asking for 36-48 months. My final sentence was 2 years probation and a large fine. Better outcome than I could have dreamed of. I had a sympathetic judge to the work I had done, neither I nor Justin would say that you will always get the outcome you hope for, but I know, that regardless of what happened that I had done everything I could to mitigate and prepare, and even if the outcome was not what I wanted, I knew I had done everything I could and was at peace with that.
Beyond the legal outcomes, Justin and Michael provide a sense of community and unwavering support that saves your sanity. They treat you like a human being, not just a case number, and their compassion is genuine. They will both tell you that you do not need them, that all the knowledge, planning and process they provide can be had for free on their non-profit's website, which is all true. The knowledge was not what I feel I paid for, it was the companionship and sense that I was being guided by people who had been there before and knew the way, even if the road was a rough one.
How many potential prisoners feel seen?
From the beginning Justin made me feel comfortable with the process that their company has refined over time. Knowing what I was walking into was scary but Justin made me feel at peace knowing that his company would guide me in a direction that would allow me opportunities in the future that I wouldn’t have doing it on my own. The staff has treated me as a person and not just a number, even contacting me on vacation with family. I would highly recommend anyone seek their guidance.
Justin and his team were…
Justin and his team were exceptional—professional, responsive, and transparent from the very beginning. I worked with them on both my sentencing narrative and pre-sentencing report, and their depth of knowledge far exceeded that of my attorney, who was billing $1,200 an hour.
The government was seeking 44 months, but I ultimately received a sentence of 12 months and one day. The judge specifically credited my narrative, which helped him understand who I am, where I come from, and the circumstances that led to my actions.
With Justin and his team’s guidance, I was able to get FSA and serve just seven months of my sentence. Throughout the entire process, Justin was always just a text away—accessible, supportive, and fully committed.
What started as me doomscrolling his TikTok’s for any bits of information on the federal process, to on the other side of prison rebuilding my life, I can’t recommend them highly enough.
My experience was great
My experience was great. I did not retain the team because I simply did not have funds. But I have watched all the videos and I can honestly say, these people know what they are talking about. You truly have to advocate for yourself and prove to the stake holders you are worthy of a shorter sentence. It cannot be done with happy talk, you have to WORK. When I found out I was under investigation I was immediately worried. My daughter was not even one years old yet and I’m already struggling as is and now I’m facing jail time. It felt like being in a dark place, and no one was coming to save you. It took me one week to gather myself together and after I started to search for answers. Thats when I found Justin and his team on YouTube. I’ve watch there interview with The Honorable judge Bennett. That interview gave me prospective and I immediately started to plan. This was in August 2021. I knew I had to work, I had to show the stake holders I was becoming a law biding citizen, not just a name on a piece of paper that hit their desk. I started to do community service where I logged 530 hours. I got promoted at my job. I got employee of the month. I was showing them I was moving further away from my conduct. I had a successful and honest psr and got great character reference letters. March 2026 was my sentence and it took almost 5 years. I’ve worked at everything for 5 years straight with no breaks. When going into sentencing I felt relief, because I knew I have done everything I possibly could without a doubt. I was at peace to whatever the outcome was. On the day of my sentencing the judge commended me for my hard work. I was facing 21-27 month of imprisonment. The judge sentenced me to 90 days home confinement and 2 years probation. I was so happy because the judge saw a human being who made a mistake and was extremely remorseful. I was trying to make victims whole again and most importantly, I started early on and not wait till the last minute. So thank you for your team on guiding me through this.

Just got out!
I just got out of federal prison. I utilized all your tools and resources before I got sentenced and it was the best thing I could do for myself. It not only helped me get a better sentencing outcome, but it also prepared me mentally for the road ahead. I was able to be productive and plan for a better future while I was incarcerated. I’m home now and never been better mentally. Thank you Justin for sharing your experience and your knowledge.
