Leaving aside the heavily biased history and propaganda operation (it doesn’t claim to be a factual resource but visitors should know this place is highly weighted towards entertainment as opposed to history), it does entertain. However so much is missing; Famous French ideals of liberté, égalité et fraternité are conspicuous by their absence in this “historic” park. Shockingly linear and narrow world views. The immersive experiences were good, everything else felt a little dated and tedious.
Worst part were the queues in the heat. Hundreds of people being forced to stand indefinitely in full sun during heatwaves is not only dangerous but highly negligent. People need to be allowed into shows faster and shows without shade should be closed. PDF are putting people’s welfare at risk. There is no shade in crucial places, I saw one drinking water fountain in the whole park and bottled drinking water cost a fortune. I saw a lot of people struggling today and the muted applause during the shows said a lot. Hard to take the bona fides of such a park seriously when their customers’ money matters more than their safety. We left early foregoing our outrageously prepaid dinner. Avoid.

The camping car site has vehicles piled in like sardines, with no grass spaces and impossible slopes to level the van. No space to open awnings etc. This is a living space not a car park. Long queues at small number of toilets(unisex) and insufficient shower and dishwashing facilities. PdF could do a lot better!

No measures for extreme heat. We visited during the brutal heatwave and there were NO measures for the heat other than a couple of misters(which are not affective in humid heat and can actually make things like heatrash worse) and ONE restaurant with air conditioning that requires reservations. We made a reservation there which was unexpectedly cancelled and when we called to find out why we were hung up on every time. Most of the shows are in the direct sunlight with no shade. There are no water refill stations and very few places to buy water bottles. There is a point in which the lack of care about the extreme heat becomes dangerous. A couple of my family members ended up with heat rash. We were staying on site, and you can guess that the accomodations had no AC, not even a fan provided. Dangerous. We ended up having to leave early for our own safety.
Also, there were NO translations available on the android app, and staff would not help us with this. I understand this is a French park, but don't advertise things that don't exist. We do not recommend going.

Our last visit was in 2018 so we were looking forward to seeing how it had grown, it did not disappoint. The shows are out of this world and the best thing is that every actor plays their part to the full even when it's only minor. There are plenty of interesting spaces to wander round when not in a show and our 4 yr old granddaughter loved their playgrounds. Most of the older shows were the same but we were disappointed that the big cats had disappeared from the Sign of Triomphe show. The Vikings is my personal favorite but the Denier Panache is outstanding. The ice creams were superb and not a bad price. I am disabled and all the staff were absolutely excellent. Couple of disappointments - it was a very hot day but the jumping water was not on, we only found one misting station on and that was only for a short time. The carousel was only running later in the day. I was hoping that by now they would provide similar translation machines and headphones like Futuroscope do which would have enhanced our visit.

Our brother surprised us with a visit to Puy du Fou—and what an absolute treat! The shows were nothing short of spectacular: incredibly immersive, breathtaking, and unlike anything you see these days. Not a dull moment in sight.

We also booked a restaurant that featured a live performance during lunch. The food was delicious, the red and white wine offerings were a lovely touch, and the atmosphere was simply fantastic. Even the toilets were spotless—which, let’s be honest, is a rare find these days!

From start to finish, everything was flawless. I was genuinely impressed, and we had an unforgettable day. Huge shoutout to the amazing staff—bravo and well done!

And whatever you do—don’t miss the night spectacle! It’s the perfect grand finale to an already magical experience.

Fabulous, simply fabulous. Our second time here. It just happened to be 29C and absolutely sweltering but it really is an amazing place to go and experience the shows. The La signe du Triomphe alone is worth the entry fee. Yes there are massive queues but the spectaculars are fab. Great family day out.

Take good protection against the sun!
