Poor-quality products — a clear example of repeated failure.

Their lifts seem to have constant problems:

* The doors frequently fail to close properly, causing the lift to stop working.
* They appear unusually sensitive to electrical fluctuations, far more than other equipment in the building.
* Sensors frequently malfunction or go out of normal operation.

If you are buying a property in a new building and you see Orona lifts, think twice before buying. Based on my experience, you may end up dealing with frequent breakdowns—sometimes every week or even multiple times a day.

Everywhere I go, when I see Orona lifts in buildings less than 10 years old, I frequently find them out of service or displaying a yellow warning notice indicating that they are not safe to use.

In my experience, Orona lifts are simply not reliable enough comparing with an 50 years old lift.

Extremely disappointed with the service

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Orona. Our lift was newly installed by the company, yet it has not even lasted a year without experiencing repeated breakdowns. It has been out of service on multiple occasions, causing significant inconvenience, particularly for elderly and disabled users who rely on it.

The after-sales service has been equally disappointing. When reporting faults, the response is often that "the engineer is busy," leaving us waiting while the lift remains unusable. This is simply not acceptable for a newly installed lift that should be reliable.

I expected a professional installation backed by prompt and effective maintenance support. Instead, we have experienced constant failures, poor communication, and delays in repairs.

I sincerely hope Orona improves both the quality of its installations and its customer service, as our experience has been far below the standard we expected.

Ineffective and milking residents for profit.

Orona claim they are waiting parts that never arrive. They prefer instead to come out hundreds of times to 'Fix' the lift and never actually fix the lift.

The parts we are waiting for over a year later. Seems they make more money attending to pull trapped residents out of a lift than actually fixing the lift.

MMy experience with Orona has been extremely disappointing.y experience with Orona has been…

My experience with Orona has been extremely disappointing.
The lifts at our residential building have been breaking down repeatedly for days. Even after engineers attend and the lifts are declared back in service, they often fail again within hours. Residents have been left relying on a single lift for a high-rise building, with repeated outages and even incidents where people became trapped inside.
Communication has also been very poor. Despite the ongoing disruption, there has been little confidence that the underlying problem has actually been resolved, as the same faults continue to occur after each repair attempt.
To make matters worse, it has been extremely difficult to obtain meaningful updates, and responses to enquiries have been slow or non-existent.
Based on my experience, the repairs have not provided a lasting solution, and the level of service has fallen well below what residents should reasonably expect from a specialist lift maintenance company.

Second time the elevator Orona/…

Second time the elevator Orona/ Comfortlift installed in 2023 in Brussels 1000 is out of service. Second time it is impossible to know when a technician will come to fix it. Time consuming chasing people on the telephone...They sound like they absolutely don't care. Repeated unpleasant experience.

Your engineer Adam who covers the Cheshire area is amazing. I have had breakdowns and he comes and can always solve the problems. Adam is clear at explaining what is wrong and the plan to get things fixed. I work in a retirement living development and the lift is a fundamental to people living here. He is always polite and cheers when attending site. Thank You Adam

Unreliable service - definitely not 24hrs as advertised

My 87 yr old mother lives in an elderly living complex which has an Orona lift. It wasn’t working so I and a number of others in the building, called to report the issue. Although Orona claim to offer a 24 hr emergency service, no one picked up the phone. After trying throughout the day, I finally connected to the company who initially claimed to have fixed the problem. When I pointed out that it was still currently broken, the call handler then said the lift had now been decommissioned and would not be fixed until the following week! Convenient or merely utterly useless. In the meantime, a whole block of elderly residents are trapped in their homes!

We are Pensioners trapped on 10th floor for a week as lift is broken
Orona will not even give us a date to repair just say they are waiting for a part.
So we have no idea how long we will be left this way.
No wonder all of the reviews are similar to this. They just do not care. Appalling company.

Terrible service!

The lift at the retirement flats in Ipswich (Holme Oaks Court) has been out of order for over 3 months. First Port (daylight robbers) are the service agents, there have been various excuses, parts have to ordered from Spain 14 weeks lead time, the repair man was taken ill on his way to fix the lift - that was 2 weeks ago and still not fixed. The residents on the upper floors are trapped if they are unable to manage the stairs, they don’t have laundry facilities in their flats and the laundry room is on the ground floor - the drier is broken now as well as the security gate! They all pay heavy “service charges”, it’s terrible!

Unprofessional from start to finish ! Where's the engineer???

This company has been given a contract by local council.. I am appalled at the lack of emergency to come fix my stairlift.. I've contacted and waited for engineer to come fix the broken stairlift for 2 weeks now .. my daughter is a amputee and relies on stairlift yet there's no urgency to fix the issue .. from speaking to staff who answer the phone to being promised someone will get back to me .. never does . Shame on you . A disgruntled Bury customer!

No response

Spoke to a man in Sheffield. He was very helpful. He gave me a number for their London office. Of course they don't answer simply a voicemail option. Not surprised most of the reviews are 1 star. We too have an older relative marooned on high. This is is a health and safety issue. I do hope the directors spent Christmas alone and miserable!
